  • great brit r&b from the mid 60s. bring it on home,i'm mad ,and don't let me be misunderstood, are other songs by the animals that kick butt too.

  • em tempos remotos sem muita tecnologia um grupo com poucos instrumentos causavam um furor imenso parabens the animals ficaram na historia

  • spidey northern english guy givin it loads of soul. think he is underrated

  • Eric Burdon and The Animals along with The Who -- the roar of the British Rock Lion!

  • In my mind, I can see a young Ann-Margret Olson dancing off to one side. What a swingin' chick and tune!

  • sex gods

  • 6 people aren't crying

  • THEY TORE THAT PLACE UP!!!

  • spock?

  • I love this!!

  • The young Eric was so sexy...and what a fantastic voice!

  • Leg slapping like a boss

  • I see there are six folks--living in some other music world

  • How bad ass were the Animals, just look around Youtube...... man, it is near 50 years ago and the Animals still rock with the best, just think about that.

  • now crying is hardcore

  • The only one to ever even come close to doing Eric Burdon was David Johanssen. He did the Animals medley on his live album, and did Eric proud. He's probably the only guy that can scream "DON'T PUSH ME!" like Eric. The Animals were truly bad-asses, and I listen to them today, as I will tomorrow. Hell, you can see the reverberations today, as Dave Grohl screams a verse in "Monkeywrench."

  • I used to play this song in the bar of a little Chinese town on weekends. They were blown away...

  • Look at this boy... and what a voice!!

  • wow back in the day my buds laughed at me cuz i didnt like the beatles or the stones my money was on Eric and the Animals woot they rock he rocks

  • This one reminds me of Ann-Margret Olson in her prime! One with-it dancing Rockin' chick!

  • Wow... Vulcans can sing!

  • Eric Burden. What a fox.

  • this is fucking awesome! sure beats the hell out of the shit thats played today.

  • So cute!!!

  • 1:34 is the cutest thing<3

  • @28turion he's thomyorkin' !

  • I wish I had the moves like Burdon

  • I'm a long-time fan of Eric Burden and the Animals. I just found this video posting of "I'm Crying" and it is incredibly good! Outstanding sound quality and great video!! Kudos for posting it.!! One of the 1st albums I purchased was in 1966, "The Animals Greatest Hits"on MGM.. It had "I'm Crying" and "I'm Mad" on the album, as well as House..., It's My Life; etc. Excellent!!

  • The animals rock on this video

  • Keeps getting better. Thank you.

  • Excellent I simply love the Animals, This guy's voice is awesome. Thanks for posting.

  • alan price my hero!

  • @83zzw83

you watched "don't look back"? it's bob dylan touring with alan price...

  • @jazzulkwhisperwind yeah I saw that a couple times. Alan price in the middle of his binge drinking. Very sad.

  • alan price my hero!

  • Man, this is off the charts good and really shows what an unbelievable, energetic band the Animals were. Eric Burden Rules. Top 5 rock singer of all time up there with Jim Morrison.

  • no no stupid guitar man, dont you go head banging :| leave it to ringo.

  • such a great period.!!!! :'))))

fuck all the new singers...lets return at 70's....:DDD <3

  • DAT DANCE! SHOW THEM DA MOVES!

  • Gran actitud, el inicio de lo que vendría, fantástico

  • That's in no way dubbed or mimed. That's as live as all buggery.

  • I've watched a lot of Animals vids on Youtube- this has to be one of the best. Sounds live, group really into it, good technical quality. Animals body of work is really in top tier of sixties British groups. Hard to beat. Thanks.

  • I'm getting to be more and more of an Eric Burdon fan. It's a fine line between Van Morrison and Eric Burdon. EB tried to make the big change with WAR and it worked but got stuck for arguable reasons while Van kept going. He's one of the most underated singers of all time. So many of the Animals songs are true athems.

  • @SuperBuzz71 Heard them both live, love them both - I am glad I do not have to chose and prefer one of them. They both like to improvise, Van is jazzier. I hope they will keep on going for a long time!

  • fuckin chas rockin bass so hard so into it's this video is awesome!@

  • @BxoxbxbxyxBxoxy Is Chas the real tall one? My memory escapes me.

  • @gotch09 he`s on the left playin the bass

  • @BxoxbxbxyxBxoxy That's what I thunk I remembered. Thanks.

  • That was cool man

  • Hey man that was f$&@in cool jam out

  • 1:19 onwards

  • The Godfathers of Garage Rock Soul.

  • Crazy voice. Why should he be allowed to sing so awesomely?!

  • EPIC DANCE !!!!!! LOVE IT

  • Fantastico !

  • reminds me of jim morrison

  • Veryyyy Nice !!!!

  • Soooo much freakin swagga its not funny!

  • It astounds me now -- when I was a kid I didn't know from nothin', but this is one of the best, smokiest, jaded old man's blues voices that ever existed, coming out of that little bad-boy hobbit from Newcastle. (He's a hobbit -- check the ears. They still look like that.) He just ran it through himself like an electric current.

  • @manthasagittarius --he called himself a longhaired leapin Gnome in "Spill the wine-----

  • Wow this is such a change from the walking around all serious in house of the rising sun and stuff... I like it, his voice is phenomenal

  • Whoh...He oozes IT!

  • these guys made it look easy

  • fkn awesome tysm

  • they're cooler when they dont dance

  • MAGNIFIC!!!!!!!!

  • what a great voice!

  • eric burdon you used to live in walkergate in newcastle, borodale road...those were the times ...my mam lived in whinnyfield road ,

come back and do a gig in newcastle eric..

    from tracey jackson

  • this is what i call RYTHM AND BLUES.

  • how come this is in black and white? all the other ed sullivan videos are in color.

  • @bkrbyex4339 this is 1964 they didn't get colour until 1965. the first colour episode was the one immediately after the last beatles appearance.

  • GREAT performance - right on par with the Beatles or Stones at the time!!!

  • The animals rock on this video... This is 1 of many favorites

  • i dont know why the people refer to eric burdon as the one i mean the animals got high on rate because was a as band do im right ?

  • I think Eric is the only person who can pull off those moves lol.

  • Im sorry for this obvious comment but DAMN he's HOT!

  • I love this musik, it's the best group that I know.

(sorry for the faults but I'm french)

  • met the drummer John Steele (if can I remember the correctly) n the guitarist something Valentine (vaguely remember his name).. that was like 15 yrs ago.. sadly Chas Chandler weren't there..

  • Holy Cr...ud! I have the studio version of this song on a Greatest Hits CD. Didin't know there existed a live version! Thanks for posting this! What an awesome powerful performance.

  • But not many could sing like Eric

  • The Animals on Ed Sullivan

  • I remember buying this single when I was a kid.

  • Blues Rock?

  • Yes!

  • Yep

  • i dare any band nowdays to be this good!

  • Dammit, their rocking out is so cute

  • this is a great version. such power. these guys were rad

  • Your the man Eric.. :)

  • Amazing. Singing with his thighs. I had a very bad case of it for him back then -- must have been all of 13. Lord knows mama wasn't telling any facts of life -- had to get it somewhere.

  • Out-freaking-standing!!!

  • @mrskullman id luv 2 see that! lmfao!

  • Great Beaty tune this is..Fantastic

  • * * * * *

  • i love his dance :D im going to dance like that at prom

  • @MrSkullman858 Yer funny..... : )

  • @littlequeen64 why thank you haha

  • Yeah! White trash on choppers circa 1965! Shades of an AIP motorcycle flick! Why does this song remind me of a very young Ann-Margaret Olson or viewing some Hells Angels pics (shot in 1965 by Bill Ray for Life magazine)? This tune still gets it!

  • Animal magnetism ; the true essence of rock & roll !

  • There is none better than Eric Burdon!

  • (:

  • UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!

  • I'm in heaven!!!!!!!!! Thanks whoever posted this GREAT live performance.

  • wow the tv exec let him loose!!!

  • Absolutely GREAT

  • ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  • that's quite the dance...(;

  • u kno he got so mutch pussy

  • The best male vocalist from the sixties hands down!!

  • @53Valparaiso yeppers!!!

  • @53Valparaiso Burdon was really great but there were others just as good in their own right. Nobody had better moves and stage presence than Mick Jagger. No need to put anyone above the others.

  • Who brought this energy and intensity to the stage among the British Invasion groups in 1964? Even the Beatles?

  • I must be tone deaf! I think this sounds GROOVY!!!!!!!!

  • after watching their other performances and the awkward walking video for house of rising sun, i can hear the record executives saying "hey, you guys need to move around more on stage" then they did this. that dance eric is doing is classic.

  • Playing for real too! Wonderful....playing their asses off...just lose the suits soon OK?!

  • Great. Thanks.

  • That base player is tone deaf

  • @captross07 ....and you don't know how to spell "bass."

  • @Keepsu ...he's still tone deaf.

  • ''Hail to the MIGHTY Eric Burden and The Animals'' I have been a fan for thirty years, seen it all, heard it all, done it all, and it goes like this; #1, The Animals # 2, who cares?........

  • Fantastic...even wilder than the studio side...Ed musta been shitting bricks watching this one...:-)

  • NO ONE can f**$ with Eric !!!!!!!

  • The Animals' national television debut on the Ed Sullivan Show on October 10, 1964. They just rocked the place. Unfortunately their "House of the Rising Sun" was preempted in the second half hour by an address from President Lyndon Johnson, politicking for every vote with his election just three weeks away. And then he brought us the Vietnam War for the following eight years.

  • glad to see that 'only one youtube watcher is crying now'.

  • Not bad for an over-fed, long-haired, leaping gnome....

  • Love The Animals. Eric Burdon is the man! Just listen to those girls scream! lol

  • BORN 1983 CALIFORNIA JUST ME AND MOM BIG FAN FOR THE ANIMALS!!!

THANKS 4 BEGIN THER FOR ME ANIMALS!!!!!!!!!ASTORGA

  • I hate when people talk about Justin Bieber or some shit like that in comments of songs like this one

  • @Graszczur probably because they're the only two big acts out there that we really hear about. Compare that with 1964 when there were tons.

  • Smokin! These guys would blow Lady Gaga or that little twit Justin Beiber off the stage.... of course ANY band out the British Invasion could do that - DC Five, Kinks, Them, Beatles, The Zombies, The Who, The Rolling Stones, just to name a few.

  • real rock n' roll! so bluesy so goood!

  • The song that inspired a million garage records.

  • Excellent!

  • Rock -n-Roll, with a suit and tie.

  • What can one say that was AWESOME by Eric & the guys.ROCK ON

  • Finally, a live performance of the fabulous Animals. Youtube is full of poor quality badly lip synched rubbish, and this track demonstrates the powerhouse that the Animals were.

  • @Breatherable There is a good live version of ...The Rising Sun, too. A great vocal by Eric Burdon.

  • What a powerhouse he is!!!!

  • So fucking nice... I don't have your lovin' anymore

Since you been gone I'm a-hurtin' inside

Well I want you baby by my side, Yeah

    I'm cryin', I'm cryin'

    Hear me cryin' baby

    Hear me cryin'

  • Holy fucking shit!! *orgasm*

  • Hilton Valentine invented the sideways Headbang..... the Headcock! (I'm sorry...)

  • I'm crying as hell.. :((

  • thank you God!

    whooooooooaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!

  • Written by Eric Burdon and Alan Price (keyboards)- Chas Chandler's bass is nearly as good as We Gotta Get Outta This Place and It's My Life.

  • Happy 70th birthday drummer John Steel today Feb 4th.

    All the best

    Chimbo
