I am not sure how I feel about this. I love the ingenuity and the way you set up to vocal parts, but I feel like the blend was incredibly off and the singing style really did not work for a cover of a band like Coldplay.
For first season, this one one of the best performances on the show. They did this in response to the judges criticism that they weren't covering their low end, and the vocals were shrill.
This was their amazing response, to show the judges that they could respond to criticism and do something completely different. I still love this version of the song, and was amazed that the quartet of older women & other groups w/ pitch problems got to stay and they got the boot.
This is consistently flat and none of their vowels ever match up. It is also under-supported, especially when they aren't standing still. Adorable? Yes. Good musicians? Except for the vocal percussion, NOPE.

Courtney is freaking awesome! After this performance I said she should be the lead singer! Who knew after all of that amazing beatboxing that she is an amazing singer, too?! There hasn't been a girl on The Singoff that can keep up with her beatboxing skills.

i've never been a big fan of female a cappella groups... they just bass that a male group can, and they sound hollow. there's no bass. this song is about full, rich chords, and they're missing the bottom half. they sound like half a choir.
Wow, that's pretty amazing. It's not big or anything, but it's really legit. I mean they sound acapella, not like most people try to pretend is acapella nowadays. I actually got chills during the bridge. :)
@jieunnn Really? I don't hear that at all, if anything I think the soloist is a touch flat, but the song is in an awkward range. the choir overall sounds very in tune with each other. Besides, mistakes just let us know they're doing it for real.
Love this. The only fault I can see is their outfits. It should be a darker color, to go with the song. But that's hardly worth mentioning. This is so amazing.

It sucks to say it because some of them are damn talented, but I just felt like they butchered this song. It requires in the least a or some tenor and bass backing, beat boxing well won't cover up the entrenched awkwardly high sound. They lack proper range, their good at what they do, so, it's mainly complaint that boils down to improper song selection for the group.
@jackalsocoke their newest cd is on itunes and they sing this song. they changed it a bit and it sounds better i think. i do agree with you about this performance though.
