@psalmsmith - You're actually correct in that industrial hemp production should be legalized in the USA. In fact it should never have been prohibited in the first place. But hemp is NOT distantly related to cannabis, hemp IS cannabis. Different strains of cannabis do have different levels of THC, but the difference is more like how some strains of rose are more fragrant than others. Marijuana producers want high THC levels, hemp farmers wants strong fiber. That's the only real difference.

Therefore, to use hemp medically, it is a bad idea to smoke it. Instead a vaporizer can be used, a device which does not burn the weed, but evaporates the THC in it. This way, you can inhale it, but its more like steam than smoke and therefore has no tar and other unhealthy byproducts of burning.
Other possibilities are pills or liquid medicine to swallow - however, these work slower and more unreliable than inhaling. A kind of middle ground between those two methods are rectal suppositories.
Of course smoking of hemp is also dangerous to your lungs and can cause cancer, like it is dangerous to smoke any plant, because of the tar which is produced by the burning of plant material.
However, opinions differ whether hemp or tobacco is more dangerous to the lungs. So I suppose it is quite comparable.
But at least, hemp does not have nicotin, nor does it have those chemicals they add to tobacco. On the other hand, some dealers put unhealthy stuff on weed to make it heavier, e.g. "Brixx".

ruderalis is a short growing plant with origins from russia. i dont think ALL hemp is cannabis ruderalis alone. And plant sex is very well known for many years as a deturant for plants suitable for hemp use or medical/recreational use, as the male plants tend to produce less thc than its female counterpart, thats why you see recreational use of BUDs not leaves and balls, as produced by the male. (rarely a male plant may produce enough thc for one to feel after smoking)

SATIVA is the hemp used to make a lot of products: CANNABIS wasn't illegal until the oil companies started to exist and to make profits using... oil! You can have natural fibers a lot better than "plastic" fibers using hemp. Maybe the industry used the negative feature of CANNABIS INDICA (THC=drug) to defeat the hemp.

Hemp, although related to Cannabis (marijuana) is not psychoactive -- it cannot be smoked to get high -- it is only illegal because it looks like marijuana and it's distantly related to the plant. If we legalized industrial hemp production in the United States, we can completely remove our dependence on foreign oil altogether, and avoid disasters like the BP oil spill in the future. @psalmsmith - You're actually correct in that industrial hemp production should be legalized in the USA. In fact it should never have been prohibited in the first place. But hemp is NOT distantly related to cannabis, hemp IS cannabis. Different strains of cannabis do have different levels of THC, but the difference is more like how some strains of rose are more fragrant than others. Marijuana producers want high THC levels, hemp farmers wants strong fiber. That's the only real difference.

Fact is that you can use hemp seed oil for synthesis of polymers as crude oil, history as modern science both prove the practicability. So it doesn't matter if they used soy out of the lack of hemp due to prohibition&war, if it functions with soy , so it will with hemp - and that with far less investment and hassel in production.

This car was made out of 100% hemp, and ran on hemp oil. It was bought out and destroyed by rockerfeller and associates. Cars like these will never be produced because they will eliminate the fossil fuel industry. They run clean, no smog check, no oil change. And for many more miles per gallon. It is a shame that hemp is illegal in America. BMW and Mercedes Benz use hemp fibers in the interior plastics of their cars because it is up to 14 times stronger than steel.

Those are great ideals, sounds beautifull, but unfortunatly the elite of this world isn't that nobel at all, their world (wich is the world they create for us)is all about profit, they build our economical system on their rules, we all even could have free energy, free healthy food more then we could ever consume, but "thanks" to their dictatorship we have to use the products that guarantee maximum profit.

Hemp has about .0003% THC!!!!! We need to get the DEA and Federal Government to let Local and State Farmers to grow the stuff for Industrial Purposes. Hemp is not Marijuana!! Please people why is that so hard to comprehend! If we keep calling marijuana hemp then the majority of people will continue to think we will go and smoke industiral grade HEMP!! Smoking hemp is exactly like smoking LAWN GRASS!!Marijuana (Cannabis) Has up to about 22-23% THC, Bubble Hash has about 30-60% and Finger/Scissor/ISO/Butane/Alcohol Hash has up to 75% THC (THC is the stuff that gets you "High").

Think about this , Hemp can be used to make fuel and to smoke. That will greatly cut into the profits of the tabacco and oil companies. Why do you think there is such a negative connotation associated with it. Cigarettes are the #1 killers in the world but yet they are legal. When was the last time you heard someone getting lung cancer from weed or die from the second hand smoke for that matter! WAKE UP FOLKS!

I have heard of cancer of the wind pipe from pot. There are some side effects and risks, but I think it is far more natural than tobacco they use to kill us. There are 3,000 different man made chemicals in tobacco.
When the people need to keep these bastards in check!

Therefore, to use hemp medically, it is a bad idea to smoke it. Instead a vaporizer can be used, a device which does not burn the weed, but evaporates the THC in it. This way, you can inhale it, but its more like steam than smoke and therefore has no tar and other unhealthy byproducts of burning.
Other possibilities are pills or liquid medicine to swallow - however, these work slower and more unreliable than inhaling. A kind of middle ground between those two methods are rectal suppositories.

Of course smoking of hemp is also dangerous to your lungs and can cause cancer, like it is dangerous to smoke any plant, because of the tar which is produced by the burning of plant material.
However, opinions differ whether hemp or tobacco is more dangerous to the lungs. So I suppose it is quite comparable.
But at least, hemp does not have nicotin, nor does it have those chemicals they add to tobacco. On the other hand, some dealers put unhealthy stuff on weed to make it heavier, e.g. "Brixx".

Yeah, they are lifting up the rest of the world, and hurting our standard of living! Meanwhile they are not doing any more drilling, or building any more refineries, and the price is skyrocketing. Next, food will skyrocket, and people will start to die of starvation.
Remember they said they could control the world with oil, and Kissinger even stated that they would use food as a weapon for their population control efforts.

Henry Ford's dream was to build cars from the ground.
The early Ford cars (while Henry was in charge) had much
parts that were plant based. One of the many things they developed was soy plastic, which they used in a hand full of parts.
This car was not made with Hemp, but it did use many plant based components.

I'm not sure if I can find a reference, but I will try. However, its obvious that you can make fuel from hemp - more precisely said, from the hemp seeds, which are rich in oil. I think it works in a similar way as you make fuel from Rapeseed...

I will believe a lot of things... I am what some might call a gullible man. I believe in the 9/11 conspiracy theories, I believe there is a secret organisation running the world. I believe that marijuana cures cancer. However, for the life of me, no matter how hard I try, I absolutely CAN NOT believe that this car is made from Hemp. I want to, honestly, but it's just not happening. I am in utter disbelief quite literally.

@HikaruYamamoto Hemp Plastics are available for the past 15 years or so.
But this car did NOT have hemp fibers or oil in any part of it.
I wish it did, that would make a better story.

@tigerbody1 indded it did contain hemp fibers aswell with soybean resins. plus the car was ran by ethanol made from hemp.
