srry, but the first vocaloid "ever" was a set called Leon and Lola, Kaito is the first japanese voiced vocaloid, then meiko, then vocaloid2 came out and miku was the first of that.

Yep. It's Kaito. Since the software is a first generation vocaloid and its target users are musicians who are supposed to have some skill of computer music, it's more difficult to make "him" sing like a human. Just typing lyrics into it and pushing the start button usually ends up with more robot-like voices. This song is exceptionally good.
