Bernier is an excellent pick-up and will fill a much needed role on the team. This trade has restored a little bit of the faith i have lost over the past few years in the Sabres Organization.

Losing Campbell isnt huge..He is a smooth skater and and a decent passer, but he is insonsistent in the defensive zone, and gets caught out of position in the offensive end quite often. His all-star appearances are due to the incredible fan support the first year, and the nhl rule saying that each team must have 1 player present at the allstar game. Campbell being the sabres logical choice because of his agile skating, and being the only sabre at that time with national exposure.

Buffalo fans, Bernier is a great young player who leaves it all on the ice, plays with alot of grit, skill and is not afraid to drop the gloves. I am sad to see him go, he was my favorite Sharks player.. but will not hesitate to boo him when we play . Good luck Stevie B!!!

good to hear, he looks like he is what we need. you guys will love campbell. one of his only weaknesses is he sweats too much (look up his commercials). you guys will like him, he can carry the puck out of his zone and is great at getting it in the offensive zone, he is a good passer, he has a good shot, and he has an occasional huge open-ice hit.

man cut the crap - of course Campbell will be missed. And to call him ungrateful is pretty lousy too, watch the footage of him discussing the trade, he looks absolutely crushed to be leaving Buffalo. That having been said, I hope everyone is excited about Bernier, he's a solid player.
