  • This Video will teach all people around the world....Thanks very much! :]]

  • Wow i've been looking 4 these vidoes 4 sometime. My mum got it 4 me when I was 7 but btwn then and now we lost the tape. I wonder wherther u also have "the wedding banquet"? It was part of the collection. I want my kids to watch these...thanks for uploading them

  • @mnmbabygal Glad you enjoyed the videos in your younger days and found them again here. I do hope your kids enjoy watching them, too. The wedding banquet wasn't one of mine so I'm sorry I can't help you there.

  • When I was a kid in the '60's there was a really good cartoon version of The Good Samaritan as a commercial on TV. The Good Samaritan was a Mexican peasant with a donkey. He even said "Aye, Chijuajua" when the found the wounded man.

  • lol ! ok first the samaritans are a true religion the live in mount gerezim, i am a samaritan asswell and as i could see jesus preferd the samaritan over the jew, lol Nice ;-)

  • Glad you liked it.

  • thank you so much..

  • Thanks a lot.

  • This is so cool. I love it!

  • Very reminiscient. What computer was used? What year was it made?

  • The computer used was an Acorn Master 128 microcomputer with a ROM program for animating Teletext graphics. The story was first mastered on video in 1989 and published in VHS, along with Zacchaeus meets Jesus and Blind Bartimaeus, by Bible Society, Swindon, UK under the series title Bible Storygraphics. The Good Samaritan is a shortened version of Robbery on the Jericho Road which has introductory scenes introducing the background of the characters and the lawyer's question to Jesus.

  • What an absolute classic - this is awesome! I especially like:

    - the fact that Jude is Cornish

    - the little bird that sings to him - the Samaritan's hilairous accent

    - the naughty donkey stopping to eat flowers

    - AND THE SONG!!!!

  • Hi - thanks for your comments. Glad you liked it. I hadn't realized Jude was Cornish!!!

  • I think one was always one of my favourites of the set. Whoever voiced that vulture must have been very talented!

"A dead body! I don't like dead bodies!"

Also, I really like the cute little bird who gives him some sympathy when he gets mugged :-)
