  • I know several people who went vegan and then went back to some forms of meat like chicken and fish and some eggs. I don't like the food pyramid simply because it is based on alot of assumptions about weight and health. it assumes eating fats especially saturated fats makes you fat and sick. you can get alot of minerals from plants only if you eat them with saturated fats to facilitate absorption, how anyone can believe fat soluable nutrients are absorbed without fat is beyond me.

  • Protein should be at the bottom you should get around 1-1.5g/kg of weight. So since I am 227 lbs that is about 105kg i need about 105-155 grams of protein a day. As far as feeling stronger you are wrong. If I don't get enough protein I start having serious problems but I have a myostatin defency that causes abnormal muscle growth.
