For every champion we leave behind (alive or dead) a new one will rise to meet the challenge....we should remember and honor those behind us and cheer on the new ones in front of us....but always remember there was a great past, and a bright future ahead.....
I would have to say 2006 was the worst year ive ever had. Lost in the Fog passed, Steve Irwin passed(cries) and in the beginning of anew year 2 horses left the world with a piece of my heart, Precisionist and Barbaro. Lost in the Fog didnt want to go, But he told them it was ok, He was done fighting, Barbaro had no choice and neither did Precisionist. Good Luck to all the on-coming racers. Barbaros brothers must carry on the legacy!
@horsecrazy11 Hi, Just wondering what you meant about Precisionist. ? About having no chance because he lived a normal life actually. And i know Sue, Lost in the fogs human Mom. Very nice woman.
@DustyPawPaws Precisionist had to be put down due to inoperable sinus tumors. He lived a very good life! I didn't mean that Precisionist lived a horrible life, because he didn't. Just the reason why he had to be euthanized was very sad. He had no chance in surviving because they were inoperable. And yes, I have heard she is a nice woman!
@horsecrazy11 Thank You for reply. Misunderstood ...I had previously read quite a few comments on different vidios with comments about horses that were cruel and stupid. I read too fast on yours. Was on the Hooper farm many a day and night helping w/ foaling or helping muck stalls, only because I would get a phone call asking "Hey,can you help"... my good friend worked for Mr. Hooper since he was a teenager, starting in the early 60's. Maybe? you know who it is. I onlyran 1 TB a Pre GDaughter
@DustyPawPaws My grandfather used to work with Precisionist. He would wrap his legs before a work out. I absolutely love horse racing and I know that 99% of them live happy healthy lives! I understand that people claim racehorses live tragic lives but it's not true. Deaths are tragic. Not their lives.
