  • cold steel is nice but if i were to be in a college line i'd rather be in D.O.A (NCCU)or Funk phi Mob (JCSU). they play more technical stuff. :P but thats just me.

  • Post a drumline video and erbody has to come beat their chest about how much better they are.Look CS is good because theyre technically sound, entertaining and they connect with their audience by talking to them and showing them the fun side of playing drums, not acting like a bunch of robots with no soul or human side. These are college students and most college students like to party and have a good time.CS just brings that element to their shows. Its part of how they develop fans from an audience

  • Sounds like shoes in a dryer

  • wow

  • inever see female drummers here =[[ that sucks :'(( i love A&T tho... my fav band!!!

  • Stolen Cavi Tenor Break.

  • very exciting but not technically clean at all!

  • Then niqqaz str8 beastin

  • This is DOPE! Can't get any funkier. . .

  • Love it!

  • I liked it! That's all there is to it. The drumline members were clearly enjoying what they were doing. Was it perfect? No. No performance ever is, but one can tell that the line worked hard and put on a good show.

BTW, I enjoy a good drumline, whether it's high school, DCI, DCA, or HBCU. If my students could watch this, be inspired to continue, and go on to march/play in college, then that is what it's all about.

    Great job!

  • looks like chaos to me....I seen a high school drum section like this in warsaw va

  • @tawmbeechNo it wasn't... This cadence has been around since the 90's, sorry.

  • @MattMahoneyDrums no that accually was taken from the cavaleirs samarai drum break for the tenors dude look it up

  • the tenor feature at 0:33 was taken from the Cavaliers 2008 drum break. sad.

  • lol did anybody notice da dancer fall out ha chair at da very end of da show lmao...priceless...

  • I think a lot of bands forget what they are there to do...and that is to ENTERTAIN... where not there to see your stick level being consistant, how "clean" your performance is and what not...A&T does just that they entertain... NSU is a great technical band...but A&T just plan out entertain them on all aspects. From what Ive seen you other bands better step your game up or you will be looking pretty dumb... just remember we are not official judges but we know what we like...

  • I love the energy they have what talent

  • WELL. What can i say about these guys....nothing good. hella dirty. just Pathetic. they think they are the hardest drummers out there. well no.

and to blkjagg. dude.these guys couldnt make my high school drumline. and thats saying alot. cause most of them sucked anyways. but my buddy and i. dude we killed all otther snare competition out there that we encountered. i marched impulse. and survived until final cut for bd. I am a true drummer. not these guys.

  • @bassdude011 i bet yu couldnt di half dis shiit , id proly dust yu

  • @kingjokerful saw ur video...and dude..only thing i can say to you is keep practing.

  • @bassdude011 dat waz 8 months ago , i practice everday son , ill dust you

  • @kingjokerful dude u suck...that video was like 1 month ago...i stopped drumming about 9 months ago. you cant beat me. u suck. just deal with it.

  • @kingjokerful dude read the fucking date it waz uploaded it waz 8 months ago how da fuck you gon tell me wen i put my shit up

  • @bassdude011 nobody cares, they havin fun, this is for a crowd that doesnt know much about percussion. and just because the whole snare line is not playing together the whole time doesnt mean anything. i BET u cant play what they are playing with as many snares they have. And me, u cant say nun to me cause ive been playing snare for three years and did DCA, i just became a sophmore in highscool, not even 16 yet so u aint the best out there boss.

  • @TheHaywood1 the fact that the whole snare line isnt playing together does mean ALOT. says alot about their musicianship. what the hell is dca? And post a video up of you playing. i wanna see how good you are.....if you are any good at all.

  • @bassdude011 Look at my page, It takes the average drummer 5 years to get where im at and like i said i did it in 3 years. and DCA is for people 14 and up, im still 15. and like i said, no matter what crowd is there they WILL put on a better show than Your drumline. And i guess you dont know anything about tradition in HBCU drumlines buddy, this is their own style.

  • @bassdude011 You talk alot about musicianship for not knowing what Drum Corps is..

  • @ObjectP i follow DCI not DCA.

  • hard af man

  • this drum section go hard

  • I like hard af

  • The snares did some nice flashing and quints did really good

  • i find it amazing how some people will come in here and criticize drumming tech without telling their background or credentials for whichever school band they were a member of.Obviously ur not a aware of what a band brawl is . if so, u wouldve refrained from the comments that u made. the the goal is to entertain the crowd. this isnt an audition for The U.S.Marine corps Band.Which i feel ANY member of A&T Drumline could make if the so desired Culture is the key here sir.

  • Dese comments r crazy lol.. but speaking as a member and snare capt of Howards line IF YU DONT PLAY WIT US LEAVE OUR NAME OUT YOUR MOUTH... once again we have 2 different styles so yu cant compare bass lines... both bass lines handle their business when they got business to handle.. good show Cold Steel

  • Awful. just awful. truly an insult to every real drumline member in existence.

  • @MySkeptic dude that was a good show and cant you tell this was clearly for entertainment purposes. i dont think the crowd wouldve noticed anyone skipping a note or not having correct stick heights and all of that other stuff that we as drummers would have noticed

  • @TheDragonmaster18 Shouldn't a drummer take enough personal pride in what they do to do more than impress a crowd? What if there's a little kid in that crowd that thinks that the only thing playing a snare drum is about is dancing/humping the drum? Or playing dirty licks while tom players rim all over the place and have some ridiculous ego because they're "Battery"? Should be the responsibility of the musician to make music the first priority. Not visuals.

  • @MySkeptic look this is just a form of african american drumming. for us this is an art, we have always and will continue to put dance moves in everything we play. and ths particular drumline will continue to do what its crowd expects them do. and also as far as the beats and licks they were playing was clean. and as drummers these guys know there's more to drumming than dancing and visuals but they are playing for a crowd that knows nothing about drumming.

  • @TheDragonmaster18 If you think that's clean, then go outside and eat a meal off your "clean" dumpster. And again, wasn't aware that humping drums was an acceptable dance move. Maybe you're setting a poor example for your culture and crowd that knows nothing about drumming... When I was on drumline, the goal was good music. All I'm saying is that it's a shame it's not that way in these certain organizations. Piss poor in fact.

  • idk.....it was live as fuck...but it aint my style to be all ova da place giving a show like dey da UniverSOULLLLL circus.....but umm my style is more Cookman Style....and im not sayin dat jus cuz im goin there but it really is....but had i been in high school anotha year!!! oh we'll be doin some shyt like dis next year lol str8 up!!! but umm not my style right now..

  • lls...they coulda cut off 4:36

  • weak....

  • @PVMacFunkBox that was not weak bruh. they better than the box thats for sure. i like the box but they have nothing on cold steel. at least with cold steel you can understand what they are playing as well you can hear more than just bass drums being played. so yeah any real drummer knows that cold steel is one of the best

  • @TheDragonmaster18 for one BRUH....in Texas we got middle schools that can play that shit that y its weak....and yall supposed to be the best thang going on the East coast get yall game up....I fucks with Harvey Harv and his vids....i never said COLD STEEL WAS WEAK.....that show was WEAK for a COLLEGE DRUMLINE....u took it personal....i was just stating an opinion....yall just hate the BOX don't....haha...i know it hurts but we used to it....get ya game up....

  • @PVMacFunkBox im not a student there and i am from texas houston to be exact. iunderstand that cold steel has a rivalry with the BOX but that dont mean you have to call their performance weak. also we have middle schools and high schools in texas that BOX cadences which arenot very hard. although the high school i went to didnt play them to the fact my band was influenced by university of houston. i dont hate the BOX they one of my favorite lines until they got kicked out the band.

  • @TheDragonmaster18 im from Dallas and I aint dont let my drumline middle school or high scholls play BOX UH or TXSU material and the BOX cadences are easy and some are hard but UH is on youtube gettin smashed by WILLOWRIDGE so what but they performance was weak cuz they ive seen better...again its my opinion dont get yo feelings in a bunch it sound like you cheerleading for them or something shit i like UH too but like i said COLD STEEL is better than this performance thats all i saying.

  • @PVMacFunkBox im somewhat am cheering for them but my thing is instad of calling the performance weak just point out a few things you saw you didnt like and suggest that they work on and if they dont so be it. i just like all of the performances they do. i have seen better performances to but im not going to call it weak.

  • i meant to say when those people shitting on yall knock yall from the top then let'em criticize yall

  • @topdolla777 why do people keep shitting on this line? If your really cold steel homeboy, I saw y'all on 3 separate occasions and I got to say, I was impress. Never been on a college line but i played on a high school line and after lifting 20 to 30 pound drums for 3 hours at practice, performing in front of thousands of people at games and summer camp, I know college level is even more tough. Y'all keep doing what y'all do. When those people shitting y'all knock y'all from the top then let'em

  • sweet!!!!

  • Nigga I am cold steel, and who cares where or for who you've marched for. You came out your mouth and said howard, vsu, and norfolk bass line would smash our and young that's dissing not constructive criticism bruh.

  • @topdolla777 u say u play for cold steel can u tell me why ur tenners always do da flip thing then lay on each other and play thing it was cool in da sprite battle of the bands but ive watched alot of ur vid's its kinda redundant dont you think? not tryin to be rude just a question u probly said da same thing in the past also

  • they knocked that girl over...lol

  • @cootem95 dat wuz funny as shyt...poor delight

  • Naw nigga you need to hop off norfolk dick and understand that different lines have different styles.

  • @topdolla777 trust me, i understand that more than you ever could hope to homie. i've marched with corpstyle drumlines and i'm currently marching in an HBCU drumline. so i've been around the block my friend. what you need to understand is this drumline isn't perfect, and NO DRUMLINE IS. all i gave was constructive criticism. THESE DUDES ARE BEASTS! but you came out of nowhere trying to defend them. i think they are more than capable of doing that themselves.......punk.

  • quit with that sneak dissing dog, you talking about i got nothing but love but saying shit like howard's bassline better than a&t. boy you better quit it with that hating, and what dirt do you hear in the snare line

  • @topdolla777 nobody dissin a&t. anyone who has seen this line in person, or seen their videos knows whats up. but i'm actually realistic. u can't say this line is perfect, cuz techniqually no drumline is. different drumlines have different strengths and weaknesses. YOU need to hop off Cold Steel's dick and be honest with yourself. listen to the snarelick at 3:42 ...NOT CLEAN. and the overall unity and precision as far as MUSIC in the snareline is not consistent throughout the video.

  • this line never fails to entertain....but the snares and quints are never clean...they always try to do more than they need to. don't get me wrong, i got nothin but love for this line. but if they would tone down all the fancy extra stuff, and practiced with a metronome, they would be so much better. basses, need the most work. norfolk state, vsu, and even howard's bassline would tear that up!

  • cavies samurai drum break on tenors ha! to fuckin sweet yo!

  • That was funny at the end...lmao

  • they dont need tenor drums

  • like that cavies tenor feature...

  • damn that shyt is fi..lol

  • Cold Steel~Snare Si Phi........More proof of the hardest working Drumline on the East Coast.......They making hard for other drumlines now

  • look at ya boi on 3:36.....goin ham on da bass

  • @riveramob yea while im puttin down beats.
