  • well if you are skilled, I would take the 98k over the garand any day. takes a real killer to use a bolt action than the pussy semi auto

  • so the germans had bolt action 5 rounds versus american 8 round semi-auto?

i don't know very much about firearms, but the m1 garand seems to be a more favorable weapon for close to medium range combat.

  • @thechene No germans had a semi automatic rifle that could match the M1 Garand.

  • Nice guns .... nice vid .... jelousy swelling inside me .... Noticed you shoot with your right eye and your left eye tight closed .... I hunt using iron sites and have trained myself to shoot with both eyes open .... for those times when you just have to close your none shooting eye use an eye patch .... bit like a pirate ... The difference is minimal but those muscles your using to close the eye are relaxed = you are a % more relaxed too= tighter grouping /// try it

    Gorgeous metal

  • eine Freude wie geschmeidig der Verschluss geht! :D:D:D

  • @SryImMinimal0815

    ja ne^^

gestern ma ne mosin nagant inner hand gehabt, der verschluss is da sowat von schwergängig .. =(

ansonsten mag ich das gewehr aber auch

  • How would ou compare the recoil? Which has more?

  • @perkalator104

    The K98 kicks more.

  • i love da freakin mauser k98k my absolute fav gun in ww2 =)

Wish i would have such a mauser ^^

  • alter der hats drauf iwie also des nachladen is übelst cool

  • It's not as loud as I thought it would be.

  • @PinchySkree Watch my video for a better comparison. What you hear in the background before is handguns firing (9mm/.40/.45, etc.) and the BOOM! is the 8mm Mauser. It's plenty loud.

  • Good choice of music, AC/DC is my favourite band ;)

  • i liked the video but i could not hear the "ping" soung from th m1 grand.

  • That Garand kicks alot more than the mauser.

  • @maqnchs You`re not right. have you ever shoot an K98k? The System of the M1 swallows a lot of power that wants to push in your shoulder. The 98k gives you all you can get! I never had a blue shoulder from shooting the M1, but of the 98k!

  • He was lookin at that screen that showed where he hit it looks like love the garand btw haha

  • Kar98's are fairly cheap nowadays. I have a friend who purchased one less then $300. I believe it was around $270, and it's original. It's my favourite rifle ever created. One of the best rifles ever created. Nice video.

What's the guy lookin' at anyway after every shot? I think he's keeping an eye out for the instruments on his desk there. I don't know.

  • wot duz he keep looking at

  • what does this guy keep looking at after every shot?

  • target indicater

  • Excessive shooting? No such thing! ;-)

  • im looking to buy a k98 but there are hard to get in canada the only Canadian website thats sells them there $375 a little pricey

  • 375 for a k98? thats extremely cheap. they are probably the best hunting rifles, especially when you converth the barrel into .30-06 SPRG and use 180 grain.

  • whats the website man i looking forward to buy it

  • i love how the m1 shakes the camera when shot.

  • Thats the 30-06 for ya. My Mosin Nagant would do the same thing. The 30-06 and 7.62 x 54 are comparable.

  • How far were u shooting the k98 sight looked to be on around 3

  • that 8mm will leave a hole in your shoulder after a while...

I've got them both, and love them equally. :) great guns.

  • the k98 is more accurate but the garand has a higher rate of fire i love my k98 that i use for reenacting

  • only if they made .22 versions of those 2 rifles id buy them.

we cant use much higher than .22 in canada

  • oh man that sucks

  • um yeah u can!

  • dude you can use 300,30-06,22.250,30-30, you can use any kind of calbier in Canada man

  • nice rifles. i have a mosin nagant m44 and a kar98k. my m1 garand should be here in a few days.

that is an awesome range. i have never seen anything like that. it must be nice to see exactly where the rounds hit instantly.

    how far were you shooting?

  • m1 garand is betgter you don't need to pull the thing every shot...

  • the bolt? lol

  • cool i found this cuz i made a dumb little cartoon with with a KARABINER 89K.

cool video, i love guns, ecpesialy from world war 2.

BTW try aand make a vid with a M1A1Thompson. and i find that the M1A1 garand of yours looks....like the M1A1 carbine

  • its an "M1" Garand. and i dont see how it looks like an m1a1 carbine

  • lmfao that doesn't like anything like a M1A1 carbine i own one

  • Mausers the better one....

  • didnt head it go *ping!* until it hit the ground xD

  • it didnt go ping!* cuz its probably a rubber bolt that holds the bullet casing

  • Is that a short version of the k98 or long?

  • looks like the short.

  • yo tengo el mauser kar 98 airsoft de tanaka pero ojala pudiera disparar algun dia el de verdad asi como el m1 garand.sin duda son los dos mejores fusiles de todos los tiempos

  • There is no such thing as excessive shooting only not shooting enough. By the way nice looking 98k and M1. I have a K98 but it is not as new looking as yours. Mine is a Russian capture from Stalingrad.

  • thats cool

  • that like a greatis KAR 98K every man

  • nice wo kommst du her?

  • EDIT: sorry, I meant I hadn't heard of any standard issue 7.62 japanese rifles

  • weeman, there are many videos of people shooting that gun, I have never heard of any standard issued japanese rifles so I am asuming that it is an arisaka type 99 (7.7) or an arisaka type 38/44 (6.5)just search for "arisaka type 99" and you will find plenty of videos :D

And by the way, VERY nice guns Gebirg :D

  • my grandfather brought back a 7.62 mm jap rifle from WWII, wish someone would post a vid of it being fired.

  • nice shooting out there, man! Got an M1, so hoping to update the "arsenal" with a K98 soon!

  • ahhhhhh, k98 . deutsches gewehr

  • Its a very difficult decision, I love them both so much! But if I had to choose I would hold on to my Grandfathers Landserbraut! But I hope I never have to make this decision!

  • @Gebirgsjaeger78 what does "Landserbraut" mean?

  • which one do you like better?

  • sweet!
