Where did Aikido come into it?? apart from the title it looks like a form of tai chi and he entered the wrong competition. To be honest all these type of competitions are mixed martial arts to a degree they have to adapt to compete. The competiton is badly organised a chop to the back of the neck to a guy that can't block is very dangerous and irrespossible a sub-mission hold would have been better.

Kiyohiro Kobayashi expelled him after his fraud became public but re-admitted him in 2009. The opponent is Tsuyoshi Iwakura (kanji: 岩倉豪) who had training in Seidokaikan karate and Yoshinkan aikido and he was a student of Barbosa Jiu-Jitsu Japan at the time of this match.

@schecterplayer123 I did judo for 2 years, wrestled in high school for 4 years, and i do MMA now. My favorite part of fighting in general is probably the grappling, although i have a SICK ground game. Thanks BJJ. :)
@zacktillery my striking and standup game is solid as can be. GSP styled thanks to the kyokushin background and anthony pettis styled thanks to taekwondo and some of the capoeira kicks he does. My ground game is sick too. I got good takedowns, throws and a lot of good reversals, transitions and submissions from the ground.

@NimW I've seen two different *real* aikido blackbelts mop the floor with multiple attackers in real life. They each had studied for about 18 years or more. One nearly got punched from the side (by surprise) by a drunk and in a blink the drunk had his forearm broken and laid gently on the floor. It sounded like someone snapping a pool cue. The aikido dude was really upset he didn't see it coming and broke the arm. Luckily for the guy he put on the floor, he was also a combat medic (pararescue)

As far as Jiu-Jitsu schools - if they do randori then yes they are more experienced in encountering real attacks and could therefore be pretty good. A reverse challenge is you go to a boxing gym and ask if you can catch their wrist for a break. Then come back and tell us if you were successful.

@XChaosXSniperX Bro, Boxing is so shitty. All it is is overhand pucnhes, jab, hooks, uppercuts, uppercuts to body and hook to the body and keeping hands up. Aikido = armlocks, wristlocks and etc. Your just dumb. Why would you say boxing? You could've at least said muay thai, BJJ, judo or taekwondo. Something like that would've been 10x better.

@NimW I've seen two different *real* aikido blackbelts mop the floor with multiple attackers in real life. They each had studied for about 18 years or more. One nearly got punched from the side (by surprise) by a drunk and in a blink the drunk had his forearm broken and laid gently on the floor. It sounded like someone snapping a pool cue. The aikido dude was really upset he didn't see it coming and broke the arm. Luckily for the guy he put on the floor, he was also a combat medic (pararescue)

@tehf00n Yeah his wrist would break if he gives it to them in a predictable move. If he starts punching the Aikido guy like a mad Pacquiao I doubt if his wrist would be caught and broken. As far as Jiu-Jitsu schools - if they do randori then yes they are more experienced in encountering real attacks and could therefore be pretty good. A reverse challenge is you go to a boxing gym and ask if you can catch their wrist for a break. Then come back and tell us if you were successful.

@jaguar004 This isn't Aikido, it is Kiai, the video is incorrectly named, Aikido's rough translation means the way of spiritual harmony, does that name in itself sound like it is meant for tournaments? Many Tapout wearing mma fags rip on other martial arts without actually knowing their true meaning, take tai chi for example, also wouldn't be effective in the ring, but it isn't meant for that. Please educate yourself before ripping on something that millions of people have high respect for

@MongoloidNigger The truth is though that fighting has evolved since many of these arts, but many of them have very useful principles that can still be applied, Aikido is actually a great example. Although the techniques aren't particularly useful anymore it does teach a lot about timing and distance, if trained correctly of course, so i guess what i am saying is that every art has strengths and weaknesses, just because many don't understand them doesn't make them wrong

He's not fake he's just an Aikido Master who got shown up! 95% of so called Aikido masters would end up fucked over just like him, the reason is that they never go full contact and any Aikido you see here on you tube or at some exhibition at your local sports centre is all choreographed mythical nonsense and the sudents believe their teacher is super human with awesome skills but in reality the could not hold his own in a real or cage fight.

@LUISFER2888 No, he should never fight a full contact match. If he was delusional and tough it was possible, his students, even his family, should have stopped him.
The problem here is a whole institution - his Dojo - keeping him from realizing he could never fight for real.
This only proves how dangerous those fake martial arts can be. This time it was some punches, imagine the result if him - or one of his students - tried to resist some kind of agression on the streets (i.e, a robbery).
