hear hear!! avoid this university at all costs. you will definitely regret it. no one looks after the students welfare or needs. its all about bums on seats and as someone else also commented, its a purely commercial enterprise. it should be closed down altogether

they market themselves in countries like China, India, Malaysia etc to attract students from these countries in the Far East so that they can get such high tuition money. What most people dont realise is that most

im now a 3rd student at middlesex. this IS ONE OF THE WORST UNIVERSITIES IN LONDON. YOU ONLY NEED C,D to get in. the teachers are the worst and have of them dont even speak english. they dont care about quality of teaching all they care about it the money. its a finance firm not a uni. It was established as a uni in 1992 not because of academic merit but because of national legislation. "Outstanding academic credentials"? And what are they then? Better than Oxford!? Get real! Oxford dons have an impressive and exhaustive array of publications. MDX can't say that. I went there and did not enjoy it. I joined the mature students' society in 1996 and are still waiting for a reply in 2008. Other admin stories like this and worse are well known by those who used the MDX system.

Student help varies by school; some help more than others. MU is renowned by pushing the autonomous learner (i.e. DIY). PhD students and lecturers will suggest a proportion of students should not even be at uni because they cannot write properly. I have been taught by well over 100 lecturers during my academic studies and I'm sorry to say that men make far better lecturers. Some women were just so bad that one even looked and acted as if she had just come out of the divorce courts, and lost!
