Bill Roper is a fucking idiot. He based this game off the PnP game of Champions. Yet, Champions Online is not even remotely close to the PnP game. WTF, If Cryptic Wants Champions Online to do good, they will Fire the fucktard named Bill Roper.

I believe you can get a refund depending on how long its been since you used it. Like say u buy it, and then a month later u say "i dont want to play anymore", they give u a refund minus $15 dollars because $15= a month. Just a guess though :P

Way better its the original company who made COH so everything they couldnt do with COH they are doing here. They gameplay I here you dont stop moving like in COX when you hit a spell you sit there and do the spell in this game only a couple attacks make you stand still.
Im currently playing the beta in this game ( when they choose to do playtests ) anyway and i can say its really shaping up to be a really impressive mmo the areas look fantastic and very comic book style thanks to the graphics used and i can say i spent at least a whole day or so on one of the playtests just making my character there is so much customisation, and the combat system is very fun too :) ( POWER ARMOR FTW! )
I guess it depends, I've managed to download the trial for MMOs, download the game like that, and managed to pay the fee without buying a copy. That was for Lotro, so I don't know about others.

Lol you cant compare this game to World of Warcraft. The whole game is diffrent, the style, the gameplay... The kind of persons that play the game. Well...this game is being developed by Cryptic Studioes, who made City of Heroes, so there would probably be similarities. The customization will be much larger, and there's no class system.
It's not a copy of CoH, It's made by the same guys that made CoH. Look at it this way, it's like it's CoH2. Champions is an old table top game like Dungeons & Dragons where you create deep characters and send them out to save the world, cryptic studios is bringing that to PC and xbox360 ( I can't wait!). I loved CoH (and still do), but had to stop playing because the updates to the game made my comp scream for mercy when ever I tried playing it =[
Don't get me wrong, but CoH/V has been losing players for a while. I'm actually surprised it's still kicking. Last time I was in CoH/V it was pretty deserted. Took ages to find a team, and most of the timesI just played alone because there was almost no one around.
Gonna be just like WoW in terms of subscription fees. Also don't be mistaken with all these people stating that if you play on xbox you will have to have a paid gold subscription. You will only require a free silver account to play so there won't be more fees than pc users.
Um, there is no online play for silver accts on Live. You WILL require a gold acct to play this. However, the monthly price for playing this is still i debate.
Correction. There is no online Xbox LIVE play for Silver accounts. There are currently multiple mmo's on the 360 that only require a silver membership to play just not on Xbox LIVE servers. While it's true they haven't stated it officially I pulled this info off of the Official forums.
Read a lot of the comments on this video most of them are like this guy is a dipsh$@% and an internet tool WoW is better than this. most of those people are wow players themselves and are selfhating antagonists of gamers and in my opinion i think this will be better than WoW but i don't have to be a dipsh#%@ about it. last it's just a game enjoy it for what it is and stop complaining but this does not apply for games without demos.

Every MMO makes peoples heads turn. Problem is they swing right back when the WoW players have finished leveling to max and played the estimated 3 end game dungeons and gotten the best gear, they go back to WoW and forget these games.
All these games serve to do is alienate the WoW community to all other MMO's being developed and stop them from even trying anything else.
It's already been stated in multiple interviews that the developers don't even consider this to be competition for WoW. They make it perfectly clear that this much like CoH is more than capable of coexisting alongside WoW. As a WoW player for 4 yrs now I am more than happy to give this a try. Will it take me away from raiding Ulduar multiple times a week? I hope so. I like WoW but if you don't spend tons of time raiding at end game there is really nothing left for an old carebear like me to do.
And? That's like saying that every new small storefront that pops up is trying to compete with Walmart because the only criteria is that it's a store.
The number of MMO's vs. number of stores only provide a different scale from which to work from. One is bigger the other smaller. If an MMO is from a smaller lesser known company I fail to see how that doesn't match up to a smaller lesser known storefront. Walmart makes billions in revenue (obsession has nothing to do with business). WoW users are far from "semi-militant" soldiers (most of them ranging from 12-17 yrs of age.) Many people shop exclusively from Walmart which can take a few hours.
Analogies work fine but only if you're dealing with someone who has the cognitive capacity to understand them. In any means none of your posts establish any sort of point to your argument so I think it's safe to say that you're assuming the role of WoW fanboy. Congratulations.

Way better its the original company who made COH so everything they couldnt do with COH they are doing here. They gameplay I here you dont stop moving like in COX when you hit a spell you sit there and do the spell in this game only a couple attacks make you stand still.

Im currently playing the beta in this game ( when they choose to do playtests ) anyway and i can say its really shaping up to be a really impressive mmo the areas look fantastic and very comic book style thanks to the graphics used and i can say i spent at least a whole day or so on one of the playtests just making my character there is so much customisation, and the combat system is very fun too :) ( POWER ARMOR FTW! )

I'm kind of new to MMOs.
Will I have to BUY this, AND pay the monthly free? Or is there a way I could get the game itself for free? (like a client download or something.)
Cause I have no problem with paying a montly fee, I just don't want to have to pay some crazy fee to get the client/download.

You have to buy the client or buy the game box and then pay monthly but most MMOs now a days include a free month with purchase of the box/client

I guess it depends, I've managed to download the trial for MMOs, download the game like that, and managed to pay the fee without buying a copy. That was for Lotro, so I don't know about others.

Lol you cant compare this game to World of Warcraft. The whole game is diffrent, the style, the gameplay... The kind of persons that play the game. WoW is a very good game I play it for 3 years already and Im sure gonna check this out, but not to replace WoW. I stopped WoW for a couple of months anyway cus its all the same since last patch, I wait for the next x-pack.

Well...this game is being developed by Cryptic Studioes, who made City of Heroes, so there would probably be similarities. The customization will be much larger, and there's no class system.

It's not a copy of CoH, It's made by the same guys that made CoH. Look at it this way, it's like it's CoH2. Champions is an old table top game like Dungeons & Dragons where you create deep characters and send them out to save the world, cryptic studios is bringing that to PC and xbox360 ( I can't wait!). I loved CoH (and still do), but had to stop playing because the updates to the game made my comp scream for mercy when ever I tried playing it =[

Don't get me wrong, but CoH/V has been losing players for a while. I'm actually surprised it's still kicking. Last time I was in CoH/V it was pretty deserted. Took ages to find a team, and most of the timesI just played alone because there was almost no one around.

Gonna be just like WoW in terms of subscription fees. Also don't be mistaken with all these people stating that if you play on xbox you will have to have a paid gold subscription. You will only require a free silver account to play so there won't be more fees than pc users.

Um, there is no online play for silver accts on Live. You WILL require a gold acct to play this. However, the monthly price for playing this is still i debate.

Correction. There is no online Xbox LIVE play for Silver accounts. There are currently multiple mmo's on the 360 that only require a silver membership to play just not on Xbox LIVE servers. While it's true they haven't stated it officially I pulled this info off of the Official forums.

Read a lot of the comments on this video most of them are like this guy is a dipsh$@% and an internet tool WoW is better than this. most of those people are wow players themselves and are selfhating antagonists of gamers and in my opinion i think this will be better than WoW but i don't have to be a dipsh#%@ about it. last it's just a game enjoy it for what it is and stop complaining but this does not apply for games without demos.

Every MMO makes peoples heads turn. Problem is they swing right back when the WoW players have finished leveling to max and played the estimated 3 end game dungeons and gotten the best gear, they go back to WoW and forget these games.
All these games serve to do is alienate the WoW community to all other MMO's being developed and stop them from even trying anything else.

It's already been stated in multiple interviews that the developers don't even consider this to be competition for WoW. They make it perfectly clear that this much like CoH is more than capable of coexisting alongside WoW. As a WoW player for 4 yrs now I am more than happy to give this a try. Will it take me away from raiding Ulduar multiple times a week? I hope so. I like WoW but if you don't spend tons of time raiding at end game there is really nothing left for an old carebear like me to do.

The differences between what I said and your analogy:
There is no more than a few dozen MMO games in the world.
Few of them are made by large/well known companies.
Walmart doesn't attract the kind of obsession as a MMO.
Walmart users are not semi-militent reactionary online soldiers.
You normally won't spend a few hours a day at walmart.
Analogies don't work well in many situations, you know.

The number of MMO's vs. number of stores only provide a different scale from which to work from. One is bigger the other smaller. If an MMO is from a smaller lesser known company I fail to see how that doesn't match up to a smaller lesser known storefront. Walmart makes billions in revenue (obsession has nothing to do with business). WoW users are far from "semi-militant" soldiers (most of them ranging from 12-17 yrs of age.) Many people shop exclusively from Walmart which can take a few hours.
