All of this money was channeled directly back to the US economy thru contractors like Bechtel, Halliburton, Calico etc. Iraq is a proposition with one main difference. Afew decades ago in a country called Saudi Arabia, America perfected a system of not physically stealing the oil of another sovereign state, but instead channeleing the revenues into the US economy. They did this by persuading a naive Saudi monarchy ( with various incentives playing to their greed and pride)to radically modernise their entire economy using their oil revenues to do it. The Al Sauds signed contracts for everything from waste disposal trucks, to roads and ports..(cont)..
