That might be because the setup pretty much looks like gravel setup and the tires are definately gravel tires. It looks a bit better with tar specs. But it still takes getting used to it. This is not an Evo. Its a Lancer with a 4G63T and custom AWD system. Look at the rear bumper its the same as the Ralliart Lancer also the rear Quater is from a lancer just with a widebody. Ive seen that lancer in person at a car show and the spec sheet was right next to the car and its reads LANCER. Ive owned a Lancer ES and a Evo 8 and can tell by looking at it in person, that rally car is a definitely a lancer and not a Evo.

The Evolution chassis is significantly different from the base Lancer. Saying that they're "basically the same" is like saying a Nissan Skyline GT-R is basically the same as the base Skyline, which is obviously not the case because they don't even have the same chassis code.

To be fair I've only seen the two BM International rally features where a single rally car has made a touge run. I understand that BM has featured a number of touge battles involving rally cars though, which have not made it to the International DVD yet.

I'm not that bothered about whether the car is running on its optimal setup; I just think its great that a touge battle featuring a rally car has made it to BMI and its great to see such cars being driven on the limit: irrespective of setup!

If you read my post you'll see I reference the fact that this is the first rally touge battle to appear on an INTERNATIONAL Best Motoring DVD. I have no definitive source to regularly buy the "original" Best Motoring/Hot Version DVD's, so I have to make do with whatever I can get hold of, what appears on BMI/HVI or the snippets here on You Tube.
