  • 5:43 I love the random guy that claps between movements. Ha!

  • the first one sounds like a swarm of killer bees ready to descend on an african village and EAT DEM BABIES

  • 1:58 o.O What the hell was that :D

  • @MsLuminum Hmmm..have you heard about this phenomenon called,mistake?

  • @funduletz :D Yes, it often occurs when I'm playing, but never at that point^^

  • @MsLuminum Well, not all of us are perfect in what we do:)

  • @funduletz I know and she's still far better than me. Actually, that was no criticism, I just found it kind of weird or funny that she fucked up that easy little phrase, after playing the rest of the first dance so astonishingly well :)

  • @funduletz Oh, it's you... I just clicked your channel. Your Chopin Etude op 10 no 5 is great!

  • @MsLuminum Its me?What do you mean?:D

  • @funduletz It's you who uploaded the video and is playing there (didn't guess that before. Don't laugh, I'm 110)

  • Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. My goodness, will you marry me please?

  • @wonderlasting Hahahaha,Im glad you liked it :D

  • Very well done! Muy bien hecho!

    Felicidades!

  • alexandra..catni minunat:X

  • @TheProGunz2 OK,maybe if youre gona write it in English,Im gona be able to understand. But Im sorry,I cant speak Spanish....

  • @funduletz no, don't understand him, please hahaha he's probably just an arrogant argentine... oh surprise XD

  • @TheProGunz2 En vez de criticar el trabajo de los demás deberías mejorar tu ortografía.

Beautiful performance, you should upload more music :)

  • beautiful performance! i´m playing this piece too and i know it´s very difficult especially the last dance... congratulations!

  • great job!

im really impressed by the quality of your playing.

im 16 and studying to be a concert pianist as well.

im learning these dances, and a pile of scriabin works right now.

you have a really good sound and you voice well too. keep it up!

  • Super tare,perfect :D Siu concertu de ieri a fost extraordinar :D

  • Beautifully played

  • This is a pointless argument. There are no objective standards in art/music....it's all subjective (like this opinion I'm expressing). Get 10 highly educated artists in a room together, and you'll get 10 very different opinions about the same thing.....I'll bet they won't even agree on what day of the week it is.

  • Not to be mean or anything, but this is a really stupid argument. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and you don't have to chew eachother up over it. Why don't you leave it at that?

  • Well played! It's such a difficult work to negotiate both musically and technically. Just by the way Aryamanable: please get some culture, both to understand and appreciate the artistry of Ginastera and also to not embarrass yourself with such low comments.

  • You're right, my earlier comment was very unnecessary, what I SHOULD have said was - "I don't like this kind of music, but I admire your piano playing."

    :)

  • I would love to hear more of your piano playing - please don't be offended by my earlier comment, I just can't stand modern music! :)

  • JAJAJAJA! Don't make laugh... Modern music? Well my reactionary friend, don't be offended but, your comment is as ignorant as the vomit on the floor you talked about. I can't imagine what would you say about Messiaen, Berio, Grisey or Lachenmann's music. I guess good music is for smart people, and not for you.

  • Umm... actually Ginastera was born in the 20th century, which kind of makes him a modern composer. And can I ask how vomit can be ignorant seeing as it is inanimate? Try to make a cohesive insult next time. And by your latter statement what you are telling me is that modern music is the only good music, seeing as this is one of the few types of music that I DON'T like... what about Chopin? Liszt? Beethoven? Have you ever heard of any of these people?

  • Are you stupid or what? I was, obviously making an analogy of your ignorance with the vomit you talked about. Ginastera is a great composer from the XX century. Don't try to be a smart guy. Modernism is the way aesthetic calls a revolutionary movement of artists from XX century in reaction to post-romanticism, neoclacisism, etc. Ginastera is closer to the nacionalism and expresionism than to the modernism. Next time do some research before to try the be the smart guy.

  • I have played Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, Beethoven, etc. for many years. I specially like Beethoven. Anyway, their music is as good as Ginastera music. If you can't understand "modern" music it doesn't mean it's boring, it just means you're not smart enough or prepared enough to listen to it. What about Poulenc, Messiaen, Prokofiev, Shoshtakovich, Berio, Boulez, Schoenberg, Webern, Grisey, Ferneyhough, etc. Have you heard of any of these people? Don't try to be a smart guy, you're looking stupid.

  • You know what, you are absolutely right. What an idiot I was for expressing my opinion, what on earth was I thinking?

I still don't understand why you are putting the word modern in inverted commas, Ginastera was born in 1916, which by default makes him a modern composer.

And look on this page - not once did I say it was boring, of course it's interesting, I just don't like it.

  • And of those people you mentioned, I have heard 6, the others I don't know, seeing as I'm not fond of this kind of music (although I do like Prokoviev).

When you say that 'their music is as good as Ginastera music', it's completely a matter of opinion. You may think that, and I'm sure that many other people think that, but I don't, so please don't try to force it into me because you can't.

  • And stop telling me that I'm stupid, I'm really not - please would you quote me something that I have said which is incorrect/ignorant?

  • Well, I will stop calling you stupid. You have the right to say that Ginastera don't like you. Is your personal opinion, that's it. To say that Ginastera is as good as any other composer is matter of art, not personal opinion. He was a well prepared musician with all the knowledge to compose as the best. If you don't like it, that's personal opinion, if you say he's boring that' is your personal opinion. Ginastera is not "MODERN" carajo. try to understand. He's nacionalist and expresionist.

  • So what you're telling me is that anyone who can play the piano to a decent standard, has a passion for it, and has a good knowledge of musical theory is automatically as good as Beethoven?

And there's really no need to swear...

  • When did I say that? Ginastera is not as good as Beethoven IS DIFFERENT! Maybe if Ginastera were trying to write music as the music Beethoven wrote, but he want to write HIS OWN MUSIC, not to copy Beethoven. To compare in the way you talked about they would need to write in the exact same style. That's kinda lame for me. If I swear is cause you don't seem to understand in rational words. Ginastera was born a century after Beethoven... it would be stupid to compare them.

  • Ginastera was Latinamerican, Beethoven German, Ginastera was Nacionalist, Beethoven Pre-romanticist, etc. Would you tell how is that comparable? I'm not comparing but saying that as composers they all are good (Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Liszt, Wagner, Bruckner, Mahler, R. Strauss, Debussy, Messiaen, Berio, etc). They all are fine trained musicians and composers. Please stop saying nonsenses.

  • You're obviously a brilliant pianist, but to me this piece sounds like someone vomited on the floor, then someone came along and then fell over on the keyboard and had a fit for 10 minutes.

And yes it did have to be vomit which they slipped on.

  • whoa this sounded a lot better than i thought it would be when i first started practicing this thing

  • I think your performance is very good and technically correct. Pretty much you nailed it!

I suggest you listen to some tango (Gardel... Milongas) to understand the roots of this music.

  • beautiful. I love the music. The last dance is BRILLIANT with the obviously polytonal tango melody. And of course this woman is an excellent pianist.

  • Thank you very much I'm really hppy to hear this!

    P.S: I'm not a woman yet ^^I'm 17

  • Very good performance! I liked it a lot ^^ 5*

  • Bravo Alexandra;) I'm proud to have u as my friend...ma bucur k te-am cunoscut

  • nice to see that you think about comments here! ;)

but i must confess: i COULD not play it as forious as you, so it is perhaps better, that i have a teacher telling me to slow down :D

  • Perhaps:DMy opinion is,that you have to interpretate the piece as you feel:)So..the more you play it your way,the better it is.Yeah..this is my opinion.:DBecause many people have many different ways of playing a piece. For example this one:)Maybe you saw the other videos from Ginastera, and maybe you noticed that all of us hav different interpretations:DBut I guess you know this cause it's logical xD.Anyway, thanks again for your advise :)

  • you play with an amazing speed! but it is not like Ginastera wanted it to be played...

i played this pieces some months ago and my teacher always wanted me to slow down, because it should be MUSIC and no HARA-KIRI -.-

  • This is my way of interpretation:)But I accept your advise:)My teacher always told me to play it dynamicaly:)And not to slow down:)

  • brava!Donde es ese concierto?mami elena oboista

  • Hi Alexandra...and thanks for your visit on my channel! You play so soft end with such feeling...I think you shall succéed! If you - and your friends - want to play my classical "masterpiece" Thats Life, feel free! There is no sheets so you must improvise...but that can be good!

Wish you good luck with your playing!

    Greetings from Sweden!

    Ulf Sawert (Savitski). Sweden

  • doamne deci cat de bine poti sa canti tu la pian ?! :)) asta e doar un comment...asa, sa fie ceva pozitiv pe pagina ta..ca vad ca toate commenturile sunt negative :-j =))

  • Great playing....bravo!!

    Greetings from Sweden

    Ulf Sawert

  • i like your range of expression.

  • Great performance, one thing, and this is a thing that classical pianists (apart from the true professionals of course) seem to have enormous trouble with - the rhythm in bar 10 is wrong in the first dance. It's a hemiola type thing where as you just played dotted crotchets.

  • You did wonderfully. Great job. Great voicing.

  • !!!!

this is definitely a 5 out of 5

    you play it so wonderfully

i wish i could play like you XD

all the dances were just absolutely colourful and just amazing :)

  • Thank you very much:D

  • I am in your class.

You play a thousand times better than me^^

  • my piano teacher always says I have to go on youtube to listen to you! ^^

because I also have to play this piece... but I don't like it very much, I don't feel it... it's hard for me to play it with emotion ^^" hihi u you did it well!! respect =)

  • Wow..Thanks!I can't belive it :O!

  • yes, but it's the truth ;)

she told me one day in the piano lesson "I found a woman on youtube, who did it very well! take my advice and go listening to her! u have to play it like she did ouuukeeyyy???" haha... ^^

  • I am not yet a woman:D

  • but u look like an adult ;)

  • always come back to watch this video, you are superb girl, played these peices for my LRSM, and listening to you really helped,

    All the best to you

  • Thank you!..You make me shy:D

  • Great! You have an amazing technique! It should be hard to keep this tempo, isn't it?

Why don't you try Piano sonata NO.1? It is wonderful piece too. I'm sure you'll play it greatful.

  • Well..I practiced this piece in ..about 3-4 months until I started to feel the exact rythm:)For me it was a little bit hard because I don't have a very big hand:D

  • Wonderful technique! The only thing I would like to comment on is the dynamics. The first part of the first movement is marked 'p' if i'm not mistaken, then repeat is 'mf', then the second repeat at the end is 'pp'. I think you could create more contrast with these sections. The second movement is great, very expressive, good tempo. The third movement...well, bravo!

  • Thanks for the advice:)And I'm glad you liked it!

  • There is no question that 1,2, and 4 are used throughout the piece in the RH. If your 4th finger is feeling weak in this piece, the best answer is to strengthen it with excercies.

  • this comment is for the guy asking about the best fingering to use for the 1st movement...

  • ricchioniiiiiiiiiii

  • Can we get back to your comment below about 'fingering'!

  • Thanks for the advice (:

  • On wich dance..wow..the fingering..hmm...i have to play the piece again cause i don't remember=)

When I will have some,I'll post:)

  • That was very good, I enjoyed it very much!

  • I'm learning this one now. The first movement has always stumped me but you've shown me the way it is to be played.

  • I'm glad that I helped you!(:

  • Superb performance - Bravo! Put up some more :)

  • Im glad to hear ginastears music in such a foreign country ^^

    beautiful interpretation btw :)

  • Oh man... That has got to be one of the most amazing things I've just watched. I'm learning this piece right now, haven't finished learning No.3, and the rest are shaky at best. Have to say watching that totally intimidated me... haha.... It was just... especially the No.3, it was so amazing! The only words that could even go though my mind were "Holy shit!!!"

  • Haha! Thank you very much! And I'm happy you liked my interpretation(:

  • we already know each other (=P by msn)

    anyway... congrats again

    you rock!

  • Thx Yanii !! ^^ You're very swwet ^^

  • Was this just the 1st movement? Or all 3 movements? ;)

  • All 3 movements :D

  • Nice recital. My girlfriend has this in her repertoire and you are almost as good as her ;o)

  • brava... very nice indeed. i'm playing this piece too! but of course, not as fast as you do.

  • Beautiful....

  • great performance

  • breath taking, lovely. LOved the interpretation of the 3rd dance

  • i listen the melody without looking... too musicalish alexandra

  • sweet interpretation and i like the red rose in your hair " la cerise sur le gateau"

  • amazing. Bravo por preferir a Ginastera!

  • You are amazing! Bravo! I admired your virtuosity combined with your musicality, your sense, and with your inspiration. Don't take it serious the fact that there are comments from people who do not understand what you do, the are simply not of your level. Good luck!

  • Me encanta tu interpretación, mucho sentimiento!!!

Saludos desde Argentina, y seguí con la misma pasión.

  • dont you have any other videos? Ouh, i think i didnt tell you i was so interested in your video because i am from Argentina =D.

  • I guess I'll have soon some new videos cause I'm gonna have a piano recital...and you know..hihi^_^..

  • Great! keep in touch! where are you from?

  • you should not lift your right arm up. It´s bad technique

  • My piano teacher didn't tell me something like that so..I don't think that this is the most important thing in the art of the piano...:)anyway thanks for your advice:)

  • =D

so, maybe it depends on the teacher´s technique. doesn´t it?

  • ^_^..Yeah...maybe...hihi^_^

  • What a wonderful talent!, My God!, Bravo!!

  • oh my gosh that was beautiful. actually, I lost a piano competition because someone played this piece :( but anyway it's very beautiful and post more!

  • No offense but you don't lose a competition because someone else plays a certain piece.

  • Bravissimo!!! A wonderful performance! You have a very bright and promising career!

  • woow..i'm very impresed.you have a great ability to play the piano.I really loved it.keep up the good job

  • Extraordinary! I am so proud of you... you are so good at this... you are the best!!! Love you so much...
