@AngryIrish55 anne rice's books were completely different to the films a lot more gory i think film makers nowadays are setting out to attract younger audiences with films u dont get good cult films like lost boys there are a few good series out like true blood and buffy which shows vampires as theyre supposed to be bad mad and attractive i just wish they would bring out a dark hunter tv series coz the books are ace!!!

how come they have reflections? i thought vampires did not have reflections. First in the beginning with Essie looking in the mirror and then again at 8:02 with Karl proposing chess. Is it just some logic flaw or in this show are they supposed to have reflections?

It wassaid vampires didnt have reflections because mirrors reflect your soul, and since vampires dont have a soul, no reflection. But since mirrors cant show what is BEHIND a person, I doubt they could make it work on a half hour program.

There isn't one set of rules for vampires. Every writer has it own take and even every culture and country has its own unique kind of vampire from folk lore. Theres even one that sucks blood from its victim's feet and another that takes the form of a turkey. There are hundreds of different kinds, not just the classic Dracula type. You guys should try picking up other books besides Twilight and Dracula.

Very true but still some of the newer takes don't make sense. This one stays pretty classic to the older tales but check out things like Blade which has silver killing them...they aren't werewolves
