are the purple hornies quiet enough to stay out of trouble in a medium size city with so so cops as far a being strict? i have a 355 with about 400 horse
@beer30isay They are loud on the El Camino I have changed to a full exhaust system with flow masters for a more peaceful ride during long trips at high RPM's.

Motors with a similar build have been between 500 and 600 but I never but on dyno. I have since sold the motor, and the car and have started on a new project.
Awesome set-up! With the engine being built from the bottom to the top, was it difficult supercharging it? You must be running around 9.5:1 CR in this engine. After building it correctly, was the supercharger comparable to a bolt-on?
Nice car. Love your el camino too. Just bought a blue 1969 el camino 350 myself. Love what you did to the car (powder coated carb and cool sounding engine) You said its modified.. what did you modify?
Bored .030 over, all forged internals, full roller rocker setup, aggressive Lunati Vodoo cam, March perf. serpintine conversion, if you want more details i can post them for you.
As the setup is in this video with air filter fits under the SS hood, but I recently started fabrication on the hood and do now have a scoop threw the hood but that was my choice, hopefully will have a video of it soon.

Looking nice. I'd like to do the same with my 70 some day. What kind of horse power do you think you're making and on how much boost?

can you make a carborated chevy supercharged without putting on one of those super chargers that stick out of the hood a mile high?
