  • MY ADF WONT EAT PLZ REPLY FAST

  • @jaquai441 My ADF didn't eat for a month when I first got him. the only thing he has successfully ate in front of me is the frozen blood worms, you might want to give that a try, they are available at petco.

I also heard they eat fish flakes, so my ADF may have also been eating that in the time i wasn't feeding him, I just didn't see it.

  • @jaquai441 also, the frogs are pretty dim. they wont forage for food so make sure you plunk it right under there snouts or train them to eat from a terracotta dish or plant pot.

  • nice set up... I've got a 10 gallon tank for 4 dwarf frogs,5 neons, 4 tiny catfish,4 tiny glass shrimp, 1 glass catfish and a 2 inch eel.. The bottom is white sand with about 15 live plants and a small piece of drift wood with a plant growing out of it.. I know it sounds like a lot but they are all pretty small and love to hide in the plants!! I'm going to be getting a larger tank soon for them.. oh by the way I've never seen a frog beg for food before lol that was cool :)

  • That is a HUGE frog hahahaha mine looks tiny compared to him

  • woah do you have x ray fish in there! I heave the same fish with my frogs!

  • @superphil92 Awesome! they are actually black neon tetras, but xray's rock! I only have 1 frog because I was afraid they would multiply...Did you ever run into that problem with your froggy?

  • @branfrog No if they multiply you can acualy get rid of the eggs or sometimes theyll eat the eggs

  • IS the food expensive?

  • This is a good idea but what i do is drop flakes in first to distract my goldfish then put frozen bloodworms in my terra-cotta dish.My frog,Pebbles can then happily eat! :) Hope i helped.Great Vid!

  • Wow, I have African clawed frogs, 8 of them in a ten gallon tank and I have the bottom covered with flattened glass marbles. I have a pleko (sp?) in with them as well. What are those other fish? I have had my original 8 for almost 5 years now and never lost one. Sometimes I forget to do anything to the water for 6 months or more and it doesn't seem to bother any of them one bit. I have a mix of brown and albino.

  • @traderjoes hey man! love your channel too! ADF's are awesome! The other fish in this tank are neon tetras! This guy's name is Froggy, and hes about 4 years old now, I've been informed that they have been known to live for 20 years, but 5-10 years is typical. :O I actually slack on the water changes a lot lately too. Recenty, I've only added water to the tank due to evaporation and when changing the filter. If you put plants in your tank, it will help to scrub the water of nitrates etc.

  • @traderjoes If you get plants, you should be aware of their nutrient requirements as well, otherwise it will just slowly die back.

  • where did you get the tweezers, i gotta get a pair

  • @Mizzkebaby got them off ebay, I think they are called "giant tweezers", its about 14" long.

  • Alright. Quick question: where do you buy the frozen ones? The pet store where I went only had the one in a fish food container. And rehydrated worms? That just means to put water on them right? Or, something else.

  • @DeathAngel0208 Yep, rehydrate means, just put water on the dehydrated worms. The Petco in my area has a freezer near the fish area, its self serve and there are all sorts of frozen fish food in there. You can find the frozen blood worms there. 1 cube of bloodworms as they come is huge! so I usually cut each cube of bloodworms in half or in fourths before feeding like i do in the video.

  • I just got ADF about a week ago and just got bloodworms today to feed them something other then what they gave me. should they be frozen? (cause they aren't and they just float at the top...)i mean they see the worms, and they do go up to the top and eat them, but only one does that cause the other is too "scared" I'm just wondering cause i dont want them to starve to death... (you're frog looks really cute though... ^^" along with the fishes and such... ^^)

  • @DeathAngel0208 you got the dried worms in the fish food looking container! that could work, although it isn't as nutritious. To make it easier for the froggy at the bottom, you can first re-hydrate some of the worms in a cup, then put it in the tank, if all the air bubbles are out of the worm, it will sink. also if you have something like a small stick to push the worms closer to the frog it would help! :D

  • He's HUGE

  • lol! ya he likes to eat!

  • When I'm feeding, both of mine come up to the surface. They're both a little bit abnormal though. haha. He's quite the chub though. Appears that he's well fed. =]

    Nice tank.

  • i like his color :D

  • Ya! He's full grown, 2.5 years old!

He's about 2" measured from nose to tip of his webbed toes when fully stretched out! As a comparison, those tetras are also 2.5 year old adults about 1" in length.

OK let me check out your baby ADF's!! :D

  • aww<3 he looks so big though mine are like a half a inch lol there in some of my videos if you wanna check them out :)
