  • tthis is da og track recorder!!

  • You seem to get more work done without the distraction of the computer.

At least at home working by yourself

  • Can somone PLEASE! tell me how to bounce tracks?!! : /

  • Why do some people still use cassettes in preference to PCs? Probably because by the time you've finished pissing about with the software, the drivers, minimizing the digital lag and getting it all to work without crashing, you could have recorded your ideas on tape about four hours earlier. Long live analog.

  • can you record drums on this?

  • @fullhair47 Yes, but I think that you would need to use mics.

  • where do i get my hands on one of these?

  • how can i use it through my amp with distortion? do i need a pedal ? someone help ?

  • umm yeah...?

  • What kind of a cassette recorder is this?

  • would i be able to record a beat from an akai mpc 2000xl into this?

  • @630inthered Of course, line out of your mpc into the record input of your multitracker but then you have just one track

  • 4 track tape recorders are the shit! fuck digital!

  • i'm actually inclined to agree...

  • your right man. i got a digi one and i fucking hate it too much bullshit options on it. Analog Rules!

  • I so Agree me and my band now record our albums off of Omni Sudio, but I have 3 Tascam 464, Fostex x-10?, and Yamaha. I love them dearly, I love buttons and nobs and it the 3D is amazingly more secure. Have you noticed that Large Chains like Wal Mart, do not carry High Bias Tapes anymore, Walgreens does though! I buy as many as I can when I come across them, also clean the heads and pinch roller (no alcohol!!) and demagnitize and it makes a big difference.

  • Can you choose how far each track is panned to each side??

  • God yes, this varies from 4-track to 4 track, but what I have learned in all my years of tracking is that TEAC TASCAM has the best sound, first off. Secondly, everything you are talking about can be done in post production after you've recorded for a mix. Ideally you want to simply record onto the track.
