  • i hate how the media can fuck ppl over

penn was on his way out before the hughes fight

he gets a quick KO and now hes right back up in the mix against fitch!

if it'd been the other way around everyone would say he should retire but because he landed a few decent punches he jumps up towards No1 contender level

  • So much for the rematch with Sonnen and Silva...

I guess it doesn't pay to have that anabolic confidence, Chael.

  • James Toney:

I predicted 2 minutes, so maybe Couture was sloppy!

Not a fair match even though Toney was younger he' s had about 90 fights and a lot of rounds definately should have retired years ago. He took 300 punches from Roy Jones over 12 rounds in 1994 FFS! All this while Randy hadn't even started his MMA career - he was still rolling around Greco Roman style.

Put Randy in a boxing ring for the rematch

  • bj has alawys been overrated. he sucks in mma and bjj. he only good at lookin like the butt baby of buddha and pillsbury doug boy

  • Hey doliveij just call it Karsten's corner, I have been away for awhile, keep doing what you are doing. Also, what do you think of the UFC having Sonnen and Silva rematch. Also, what do you think of the King Mo Loss, Also, what do you think the UFC should do with Ryan Badar if he beats lil nog. Also what would you do next with Jon Jones. Thanks alot and forget all the haters you are doing a great job, just don't forget about strikeforce and the shark fights.

  • @wwashing3

Sonnen getting immediate rematch is bull sh*t. BTW, second time around, he will lose in the first. King Mo is very new and still growing as a fighter. It's unfortunate that our sport crowns untested guys and then wants to tear them down after the inevitable happens. He's a wrestler who is learning the other arts and still very much an unfinished project.

Jon Jones gets the winner of Bader/ Lil' Nog.

Thank you and will be posting a lot more content, regularly.

  • I think you are 100% right about BJ Penn ... Now I ask you... Do you like where the sport is going ? Would you change any rule to make it better ?

  • I suggest a 100-pick contest between mmaanalyst and nuker? I'll put money on mmaanalyst winning, and winning by a large margin.

  • @elmatador404 Nuker makes picks on lines not favorites. I seriously doubt either him or Karsten are interested in a Youtube contest because they both cater to different crowds. Just because they throw jabs at each other to up their views every so once in a while doesen't even really mean they disagree. Together they have like 6,000 subscribers, and by far and away the best analysts on youtube.

You want winning accuracy? Listen to Karsten. If you are betting and want LINE picks listen to Nuker

  • @hybridfite I bet on MMA and I have made a nice profit for three years. If I were to tail Karsten or Nuker, I'd choose Karsten every time. I guarantee one would win more (or lose less) by tailing Karsten rather than Nuker. If you don't believe me, keep track of their picks (along with the betting lines) from now on. Nuker is an arrogant and ignorant idiot, Karsten is very intelligent. Nuker's insults were childish and as pathetic as his James Toney pick. The lines on Toney were NOT value.

  • Karsten, I don't know why you bother making peace with that moron nuker. Kudos for taking the high road... but he's really clueless when it comes to MMA. He picks against Fedor like 20 times in a row, is wrong every time, finally Fedor gets tapped by the Abu Dhabi champion and then he starts bragging as if Fedor was always overrated. Please. And then he defends his retarded pick of Toney over Couture even after it was obvious how easily Couture could take him down.... nuker's an imbecile..

  • I have a feeling Penn is going to retire soon. He did not look right in this fight.

  • Did anyone not notice the look on BJ's face prior to the fight. He looked either stoned out or scared shitless. Dude knew he was going to lose before the first punch was even thrown. Im a huge fan of BJ but if he doesn't like the way these new brand of fighters are winning then he should do something about it. That's what champions do!! He needs to start by clearing out that clan of ass kissers in his corner.

  • BJ Penn will remain a legend even if he stops fighting after this one. Like Edgar said, he has an aura in that cage. But damn, Edgar has flawless footwork and movements with his body and he is way faster than BJ. But I still don't think that Edgar is better than Penn, like doliveij said, it's all mental for BJ. If it was the Prodigy when he is motivated and with a gameplan fit for Edgar, I think he would've won. Check my vlogs...

  • @TheRoninrogue "Edgar has flawless footwork and movements with his body and he is way faster than BJ. But I still don't think that Edgar is better than Penn, like doliveij said, it's all mental for BJ. "

So in other words Edgar can beat Penn a hundred times in a row and he still wouldn't be any better than BJ, this is some of the crazies argument I've seen. Inside the octagon ring under UFC MMA rules Frankie is better in a street fight you might have a point but we are not talking about that.

  • @DexterShawn I'm saying that a more motivated BJ with the execution of a right gameplan for a guy like Frankie Edgar which is closing in and taking him down and use the superior jiu-jitsu game on the ground of BJ. Not taking anything from Edgar I think he's great but Edgar trains like a mad man and BJ just sits on the beach and jumping waterfalls all day. Plus BJ's corner sucks. I think he need to change camp even though it's his family. But I don't think BJ will do that.

  • @TheRoninrogue Look at the top guys in MMA from just 5 years ago and you will see that a lot of them can't compete with the top guys of today. I really believe that BJ gave it all he had and just couldn't handle Edgar. Frankie beat him standing and on the ground and take downs, I think a lot of people don't see how much Frankie has improve. As for Penn's corner when has he ever listen to them he runs the show and trains how he wants. Losing your P2P status and your belt twice not mention money.

  • dude come on man bj is not god at 155!!!!!!!!!!!

    frankie is bj's kryptonite

  • So,You used to say BJ shouldn't fight at welterweigh anymore because he was fighting guys naturally bigger like GSP.And now you're complaining about BJ facing smaller, quicker and busier fighters like Frankie Edgar.

So,what kind of opponent do you want BJ to face?

Let's make a prototype of fighter BJ could beat,so you can came here and say he's still the best...

  • thumbs up for whomever went & looked up what a pentagram choke was! lool

    it looks beautiful

  • @carnius797 im not a bj penn fan and im glad he lost im just sayin something was off with bj

  • 20 mins on BJ Penn? I can tell you what wrong with him... he's never been as good as the hype, all you have to do is wrestle him, and he gasses like a Buick.

Also... fracas with Nuker? is that troll still around... I thought he was laughed off youtube when he did his first "Fedor sucks" video

  • HAHA so funny, when you said: you have to work harder, you have to work faster, stronger and longer...need to train when other guys are sleeping.

you sound like dragon ball Z or Japanese amine...

  • @vordaks lol good 1

  • Try a new training camp would be a good idea, but I'm not sure if he would be ok with that. As for his next opponent, who knows he might get Guida for his next fight.

  • BJ will never have a strong work ethic ...I hate to admit it..cause we're cool but He's never had a job and never had to work hard for what he has..

  • penn..Is there something that happens to a fighter when they reach a certain age that they stop using all their weapons and rely just a single tool...Hell look at wanderlei..how many weapons did he have and now he only throws hooks..and now Bj who has good takedowns..awesome boxing and great Bjj....so why doesn't he use it...Also Bj has been fighting along time..a newer, and better fighter will always follow.

  • Bjs corner were pathetic! I noticed this too.

  • BJs problem is that if he cannot manage the fight as planned, he is horrible at executing a Plan B. I have said it before: there is a time for feints and figuring out, and there is a time for fighting. BJ needs to get back to fighting and kicking ass.

  • 100% right karsten

good to see u doing this corner videos man....

+ i do think maynard will beat edgar again...cause he actually follow gameplans...unlike bj penn

  • bj's last 5 fights have been boring as fuck.

  • All interesting thoughts, but wasn't it you who said that one of BJ's big weaknesses was not being able to take people down? Yes, BJ is great on the ground, he just ain't that good at getting the fight to the ground when he needs to. How would you beat Edgar? Well, if you were as good as BJ on the ground, logic would say that you should at least try to put Edgar on his back.

Yes, wrestling apprears to have become the single biggest requirement for success in MMA.

  • hey karsten how do you feel about knees and kicks on the ground? Im all for it, it makes for more exciting fights and more finishes...am i wrong?

  • love the vid brother! I'm a big bj fan and i totally agree with your opinion.

  • bj is bj,he can do whatever he wants, but when he loose,i don't wanna hear him bitch about it.

  • IMO BJ should retire even if he beat Edgar the 2nd fight. he already beat everybody and is the best ufc lw of all time. Fighting the rest of the UFC LW's dont look interesting fighting Maynard would be a waste of his time

  • Hey I said arm triangle choke in round 1 too. But said after 4:15 minuets.

  • "...physchiastrist or psychologist... or whatever one works in this situation..." - LMAO

  • Randy Jackson!

  • doliveij you hit the nail on the head these were my thought's right before the fight i could not pick a winner cause i didnt know if penn did what was necessary to win, 2min in to the fight was obvious he had not.

  • nuker is a fucking retard.

I know that regardless of your videos or who he responds to.

  • Ya know Bj is a true prodigy, but franke just makes him look bad. I think he trained hard for this fight but frankes style and speed is just hard for bj to deal with. its a style thing. Bj looked bad because franke made him look bad.

  • What I think Bj Penn should do....

BJ Penn needs better training partners... rude boy aint cuttin it.

Bj Penn needs a new coaching staff ... as Karsten mentioned calling your opponent a fucking cocksucker is not tactical or strategic game plan in any way.

Bj Penn should consider fighting in both lightweight and welterweight weight classes.... if his problem is motivation he should challenege himself, hes already been a champion ... why not sign up for some epicsuper fights.

  • hey do you now believe that BJ lost the first fight against frankie edgar ?

  • @NightManiacsInc

What happened in the rematch does not change what happened in the first match.

First fight: I think BJ should've won a close decision in lack-luster performance.

Second fight: Edgar whooped that ass.

  • @doliveij

well i always thought frankie won the first fight, i thought it was close & not dominant at all, but it was clear he outpointed bj, by the third round bj's corner was telling bj to take him down & at the end of the fight bj quickly congratulated frankie, i think he knew he lost too

  • i love all the BJ excuses, aww the rest of t he mma community have elevated their skill levels above his, and he can't adjust. TOOOO BADD

  • Thought provoking vid, glad your back in the bat cave

  • hahah damn, finished 2nd in both conpetitions so far. (maybe 3rd in the first one)

  • @bobo527

    Yeah, Bobo ... um... you're a beast!

  • damn...i said randy 3:05 TKO

  • B.J. situation is a great life lesson. He's getting old, not just in age, but he's been fighting for a long time and that takes a toll on your body and mind. We only have a short time here on Earth, and the opportunities we are given do not last forever. B.J. unfortunately may have wasted his prime years not fully training, fight with Dana, having a shitty "yes men" corner etc. When your given a gift like B.J. you have to give it your all.

  • nuker bashing u like that was so low and inappropriate, glad ur worked it out with him.

  • @wildwolves8 hey can you give me the link to the nuker vid. i cant find it

  • doliveij this is a great vid you hit the nail right on the head.

  • This analysis is money.

  • Damn!!!! I was soooo close!!!!!! I meant 1st round. And the pentagram was kind of a joke. If I had any idea I would be this close I would've picked something like a RNC. Damn... so close.

  • Dude you seriously need your own show on ESPN LOL. I agree with what you said about BJ. Also I noticed after he got slammed in the first round he kinda faded, and his back game looked awful. For a BJJ prodigy he needs a solid back game. BJ should call up Eddie Bravo and George Sotiropolous (hope that's how you spell it) and do some no gi.

  • Penn needs to go to a real camp ASAP. His camp right now are clingons and friends who only tell him how awesome he is and offer retarded corner advice like- get that cocksucker.

  • @quickdeath05 agreed man...100%

  • B.J. Penn just got his ass beat by a better fighter no mystery.

When is the last time you ever saw someone take B.J. down as easy and ofter as Frankie Edgar a guy that is smaller and maybe not as strong as B.J. never.

I really want to see what Frankie has for Gray Maynard a guy who beat him and whom a lot of people believe will smash Edgar as he did to Kenny Florian.

If Frankie wins that fight I think he will get the credit he deserves as very few believe he can win. Give small man his credit !

  • i think, people need to find their sweet spot for how much respect and confidence to give to the opponent: I think gsp is overrespecting opponents and could probably dominate WAY more.

Isn't bj training way harder now? so it's really his tactics and not his training...but i love his attitude when it comes to being a great fighter and not like eveveryone else.

  • What belt u in bjj?We should roll some time.

  • Can't do anything but agree with your Penn breakdown.Good work.

  • Gomi will feed Baby Jay the left hand of doom... at this point in time

  • Another great video as usual. I feel BJ needs to change his corner and increase his work ethic. If BJ had a greater work ethic and trained like GSP or some other top guys he could be a way better fighter with even better overall performance. He is still my favorite Lightweight. But Gomi would be a good match up for him.

  • anyone wanna explain whathappened with carsten and nuker?

  • BJ Penn's corner was absolutely, laughably , USELESS. I agree completely about BJ's ego. He was too proud to admit, "you know what, I can't keep up with this guy's speed and boxing, I need to switch my gameplan up."

If by "Nuker," you mean that other MMA dude with that busted ass afro, then props to you for taking the high road after he talked all that shit about you.

  • Great vid as usual. I like when you do these "editorial" or "analysis" type vids in addition to your usual prediction and post fight recap vids. I'd like to see more of them in the future. The ones you have done on GSP vs. Silva, the Heavyweight division, etc. etc. have all been very good.

  • good shit... from a non bias mma fan... too many retards

  • you could tell by looking at his face before the fight in the locker room and in the octagon before round 1 that he had something on his mind that was distracting him from the task at hand. im by no means a bj penn fan and i hate it when 1 guy dominates a division with no decent challenges but i feel he had something bothering him and thats why he seemed to not be his normal self. let me know what you think about this doliveij

  • @k3ntuckyk1ll3r Lmao he lost get over it

  • Yo, I'm liking this "recap video/theme video/recap video/theme video" pattern we have here. That wouldn't be a bad format. Preview and recap the cards on the weekends then talk about some particularly interesting thnig that happened on the card. Would be time consuming tho, and you probably got ya hands full anyway.

  • loving the quality on this homie. I am excited to see what BJ does from here, lightweight division is looking very different eh ?

  • He wasn't aggressive or explosive enough against Edgar its as simple as that, he was never going to win on points.

He has to be willing to kick it into top gear to finish guys like Frankie.

  • yo karsten, nice vid,you should check out nuker his couture vs toney recap,he talks about you in it .

  • Good shit yo, so the second of the finish means more than getting the sub right? Cause i was pretty close and got the sub right.

  • @h0micide925

    Yeah,

Just to be sure, I went back to the Predictions video where I mapped out the rules. And it was all about the time on the clock.

You were really close and with the exact sub but this one was all about when the fight got stopped.

    There will be future contests.

  • @doliveij Oh alright :D but yeah man, bj is my favorite fighters but if only he had the work ethic of GSP or would dedicate himself further he could have been p4p GOAT, now even his lightweight legacy is being tarnished when you got like gomi defending 10 times, pre these two losses and even this one i think everyone had him as the the LW GOAT, but gomi is right there now.

  • @doliveij B J Penn used to be an excellent well rounded fighter feared by most, infact most of his opponents were beaten before the first bell, but now...... B J Penn is F I N I S H E D !!

He will only fight 2nd rate slower guys from now on, but where will he find them at 155lbs? He will never fight Edgar again, OWNED! He wont fight G S P again OWNED!His ego is far too big before fights and he clearly underestimates some people.

    Bad habit losing!

  • @doliveij The Anderson Silva rematch would be a very interesting fight. The crowd wouldn't even boo if they start off very slow cause we all know that both fighter are very very dangerous in very different ways.

Can Silva be owned as much as he was Y E S, but can he still pull off a win, Hell Yeah!

I cant predict this one at all, I got to be honest. Probably most want Silva to win cos he's a Phenom but Sonnen will BRING IT FOR HALF AN HOUR!

    keeps the vids coming

  • @doliveij He had his heel grabbed and he fell backwards - on his back against a wrestler - yeah good luck man! The fight really should have ended about 20 secs after that moment. I lost £20 to my mate cos of that! My bet was 10 seconds flat!

  • Agree with you 100% man. If Penn had surrounded himself with a camp like Greg Jackson's then he would most likely dominate any opponent at 155 and a lot of them at 170. He just seems to lack the motivation to fight which is sad for me to see as a BJ Penn fan because there's so much talent there, I wish he would just surround himself with the right corner and camp, but I don't think he will. Hopefully he can bounce back from this loss, but I don't know man, but I definitely hope so.

  • woot first!

  • your dick must be huge
