More 8 bit and Gameboy type sounds - Microkorg and LSDJ

Hey man! This is absolutely unreal! I love it!

I was just wondering if you could make a tutorial or message me on how to make songs like these. I really want to start learning and have the microkorg and LSDJ but just don't know how to start out to make these songs...

If you could message me or comment back on any tips or tricks you have, that would be greatly appreciated!

cool man, i have LSDJ on my gameboy, managed to make a vanished cover which sounds pretty sick, cant figure out the sounds and notes on my MK though

@ashleynikmusic you can download the ROMS for them online and use emulators on your pc or mac. thats what i have been doing...for now at least.

Sos for the late reply, you've probs figured it out by now, but either way, you can get an instruction manual of the internet for lsdj which will tell you everything you need to know and more, just search google... hope this helps... i didn't connect the gameboy to the korg inline, its simply connected to the same amp, but, i have connected the korg to the gboy using the inline cable, and i comes up with some pretty sweet sounds if you you the effects to manipulate the gboy's sounds!

Hi, and thanks.

I don't think this was an actual patch, it was one that i reset to the basic wave ... which ever that is, and then ran it on a high speed through the arperggiator .. hope that helps. xx

settings for me that i use are

A55 or A43 a lot of the 5's sound like nintendo.8-bit noises then mess around with the basic settings also use square or sine type pules triangle is okay too. Hope this helps =D

what settings are you using?

Thanks. :D I can't remember the exact settings, but if you play with the speeds the arpreggiator on the microkorg, you can usually get similar sounds out of it. This setting was on random, in the areggio though.
