@Armornone We live in Sidney, Ohio. My daughter, along with 13 other high school age teens from the Kettering Children's Choir (Capella), was part of the Candlelight processional just about 2 weeks ago. She had a great time in this Candlelight Processional and a great time in the parks. Plus, I met an older man who lives in northern ohio who goes there every year just to hear them sing, and him and his wife had gone for this for ten years. They do not know any of the performers.

Oh & to make sure the sick children thing dsn't make Disney look bad, I must share that they do feed us during practice B4 we perform. :) & the excitement, honor, & experience far outweighs getting little sick (most kids don't). Schools practice for weeks, then all 300 voices meet & sing together for the first time that night!! Indescribable 2 know you're part of that angelic sound! Easily 1 of most wonderful experiences of my life! I still love to sing the Silent Night harmony. Just beautiful.

I did this 3x in 1996 and nearly passed out the last time. I managed to keep it together but was about to hit the floor while I was walking down the stairs to leave.

I got to see Eric Estrada face to face, though, because I passed him while I was being taken to the puke & recover room. :) Ahhh... memories. And I would do it again in a heartbeat. Just lots of deep breathing, hot, hot lights, and heavy robes. That can wear you down.

Still... **Totally** worth it! :)

Preforming in this concert was probably the coolest thing that ever happened to me XD it was so much fun! the stage light were VERY hot but it diddnt bother me XD though I did have a guy right behind me that was WAY off key so I had to reeealy concentrate lmao (Soprano 1, 4 row back on the right side in yellow) wh00tness! 8D

It is sooooo ahrd at candlelight, its hot, your feet hurt if you do two shows a night, your surounded by people and it takes alot of energy out of you, you have people around you faint and throw up but in the end its really REALLY fun to do.

Candlelight was the most fun thing I ever did in Highschool. We were an honor choir my last 2 years. I did it all four years and was able to do it once the year after i graduated. Lots of fun!! I will miss it

My school participated in Candlelight for 18 years straight, and all 4 years I was there. Back then (89-93), it was a single event at the Magic Kingdom, with a 3,000 voice choir under Derric Johnson's baton. The sound was so big it seemed it would strip the hair off your head. Thanks for posting this....brings back good memories.
