@jasmijnoonk It isn't just a cat as some people think. They become members of the family. I cried for a week when I had to put my cat to sleep. He was a rescue cat and had failing kidneys when I got him (among other things his previous "owners" had done to him). I had him for 3 years and cried so hard when I had to take him in. This was 5 years ago and it is still a difficult memory for me. You have my sympathy for your loss.
