I wonder who's the best overall player with 1 character? RX just might fit the bill (KO used to be considered the #1 player; then Daigo). Kuroda is considered 1 of the best overall players w/ multiple characters, but then again, KO is also great w/ multiples, as well as Boss (although I don't think Boss is considered the best w/ any specific character he uses).
KO was always considered one of the best....him, and boss are the best overall players next to Kuroda whos even higher then them....with 1 character its hard to tell...overall those 3 are the best in japan
Nica K.O.? That's cool. It's funny that I have only recently heard of Boss, but perhaps that's cos he doesn't have a specific character for which he's best-known, I take it (and yet I remember when Tokido was still playing Urien). It still amazes me that Kuroda's considered that damn good, and he's got those supposed matches of him getting huge win streaks w/ nearly every character except perhaps Necro (my current main character); doh :( I guess Kuroda chose Q to challenge HIMSELF lol
yea...those matches do exist though...i saw a trailer to the dvds but it was taken down for some reason but the dvds can be purchased from the game sakura site....not only that but you can catch a glimpse of what Kurodas packin for this years SBO with his gouki...just search Kuroda gouki and youll see how good he is.....casual wise at least :-P
but IMO i think he chose Q cuz he has the best defense in the game that plus to help him on his defense game...just look at how he plays gouki..youll see
Flashy works great a lot of times and RX does it better than anybody else. But if you watch the match, you'll see he changed his usual Aegis strategy against Nitto. Less damage per Aegis, but it allows him to build his meter back up faster, which stopped Nitto from doing the same rushdown from the first round. A more conservative approach worked. So calm your horses -- I learned how to play Urien from watching RX videos; I'd be the last person to slam him.
RX should use this conservative approach to the Aegis Reflector more often. Less flashy and impressive, but great against opponents like Nitto who are good at defending against Aegis setups.
dude you dont know what the fuck you're talking about, just close your mouth.
Urien vs Yun is a hard match up for urien, and thats a fact. RX won cus he mentally over powered the other guy and thats that, thats how RX was able to parry yun shit--not because of his reaction, but because he predicted that shit.
Yeah, this is a big competition and all, but its also there for entertainment. If we had a bunch of Justin Wong type players in here and no one whos amazing to watch like RX, then who the hell would watch 3rd strike pro vids, let alone the players?

YEAH MAN! What IronReda said! Only with more flashyness and impressiveness with totally no conservation of endangered species whatsoever!

I didn't think he was being flashy at all, but being flashy is what makes things fun to watch sometimes

Roshi didnt do so bad. from what i can tell he took out 2/3 of Nuki's team. Sugiyama did horrible though. Didnt see him win a single match.
