@toltec13 I got to ride in EAA's Aluminum Overcast last year for my birthday. It was $420. It was fantastic, got to go everywhere except the tailgun and ball turret, but could stand behind the pilots, crawl to the nose gunner position, etc. Definitely a memorable ride, I recommend it to anyone, except the lady that threw up sitting in the back!

Wow! Think of the millions killed by the B-17 bombers. And the crippled and burned! And the thousands of orphans in this world! You are wonderful rhythmofthesaints!
Millions killed, crippled and burned by B-17s....the people who designed, built, flew, and bombed the hell out of Hitler's Festung Europe and Tojo's Japan paid your tab and thus allow the ignorant to make assinine comments. War is ugly, but freedom is beautiful: get used to it.
Sentimental Journey is a beautiful monument to the "Can Do" spirit of the 1940s...something we'll never see again.
At least 6 million, the Russians don't even know how many they've lost, and there are millions of folk from all over Europe who died under nazi occupation, not to mention the thousands of Americans who died fighting them!
Great job! Boy you were lucky. I was able to photograph it while it was on the ground but it wasn't going anywhere. They were working on one of the right wing propellers. I was able to take a tour inside though. I'm a little envious that you got a to ride in it. It must have been awesome.

I've seen this B17 while it made a brief visit at our airport. I took the tour inside but I'd really like to shell out the money for a ride in it.

@taofledermaus I think it was almost $500.00 bucks for the ride. Would they let you sit on the top or bottom turrets?

Wow, Great video. I just love B-17's, I have a "toy" R/C model that actually flies quite well. Even looks "scale" in the air.
