  • I find it hilarious how people confuse Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The former is an axis 2 (personality) disorder, the latter is a true anxiety disorder (axis 1). VERY different actually. BPD I think is over diagnosed (especially as now, emo has become a trend and kids "try" to act that way- you don't grow out of PDs). PDs are when normal behavior is taken to an extreme, so lots of people see themselves in these descriptions.

  • :) nice summary of PD's, just wish there was some audio to go with it lol xx

  • low IQ's = bullshit

  • I Sometimes feel as if I have OCD, I have checked the door is locked even after just locking it and walking a few feet away from the door lol. I'm hoping to make youtube videos someday as it will help me to overcome my social phobia :D

  • I related to every bit on the dependent one..

  • You can't just diagnose yourself with having a personality disorder from watching this video. You only showed symptoms, when there are specific criteria that the DSM lists in order for a person to actually have a disorder. Some people might have some of these symptoms but do not have a disorder. You have to be diagnosed by a mental health professional. Your cartoons are also sometimes irrelevant to the disorders thy were supposed to be for.

  • @acidstars9 GASP Intelligence in understanding how people are SUPPOSED tu be Diagnosed!!! :"D Danke!

  • @acidstars9 I agree. The "facts" weren't very scientific either. PDs are very complicated and even within a single PD people will present very differently. The part about schizoids having "low IQs" also made me laugh. I grew up with a psychologist for a parent, and while I don't have anything against psychology, per se, I do think it's stupid to self diagnose (even the so-called professionals often misdiagnose based on their own biases and "specialties"). Psychology is not a science, people.

  • @lexikalfanfic A lot of what you said made sense, but you are wrong in saying psychology isn't a science. It is a social science and psychological studies are conducted all the time.

  • @acidstars9 I know it's a "social" science; I was raised by a psychologist. So much of it's guess work and bias on the part of the clinician. It is not scientific in the sense that the tests are not nearly as objective as they try to make people believe, the "symptoms" of disorders are so vaguely defined they are often worse than useless and even though meds are given to many people, they are handed out rather carelessly. I consider psychology about as much as a "science" as parapsychology.

  • mine was Histrionic PD..

im so emotional,im making a small things a big problem,i want to be a center of attention...(actually,all of it!!!)

i knew i have this kind of problem...but i feel like i dont need help from a psychologist.still,im glad that my friends, family and my boyfriend understand my personality status.thanks for sharing this anyway... :)

  • @JaskaJunior heheh....im actually kinda passive aggressive ya know..well it's good to know we're neurotic about it..^___^

  • Why does it say "lowest IQ" under schizotypal?

  • @BabyNeuron

I would assume she's an atheist who doesn't like religion but I'm probably wrong.

  • @BabyNeuron like people with personality disorders have low iq's *GRINNN* They have often very high IQ's and are high sensitive!
