  • ram is the bottleneck

  • i got the key !!!! lool jokin

  • i woul love 2k plzz

  • thats like 16224 swedish kronor (SEK) in just comp parts........

  • I work at 2K Sports. NBA 2K11 is the bom-diggity!!

  • dood, nba 2k11. hit me up with that!

  • YES! id love to have that game:)

  • Maximusblack, please send the key! :D

  • He doesn't even know what the name of his video cards are... LOL. But a very nice computer build

  • Hit me up jeffy

  • shit i'd take that game lol

  • so how much did that actually cost you Jeff?

  • build your pc on the livestreams :D

  • nooooo its so fun to put them together but i guess if you dont really no what your doing its probably not a good idea

  • what keyboard are you using? sounds mechanical

  • Sweet rig MB!

  • Did that graphics card just make a 20% cooler pun?

  • I know but as I said I never play 1v1s... how would i play diamond in 2v2 and 3v3 if my fps was such a limitation -_-

  • i really want this game:)

  • you should get one signed by you and the other adam :3

  • Mr. MaximusBlack ... HOOK ME UP WITH THAT NBA2K11

  • press 9 for sweet tits :)

  • dude, with sli and a 27k you should have gone with a 1000w supply, and you should have waited for black friday its november (if you have blackfriday)

  • @papercut272 1000w PSU would be overkill.

  • @Fortune2point0 you obviously cant count your volts to watts

  • @papercut272 You obviously can't read reviews/a multimeter. A 560Ti SLI setup with an overclocked i7 920 (much more power than a 2700k) takes 620w at full load. Herp derp.

  • @Fortune2point0 ohh yeah, ignore the running fans, the dvd drive, the ram, the hard drive, the n/s bridge, the sound, the plug ins, the leds, and not to mention the fact that a 1000w supply isnt really 1000w when you put them on the test, not only that but if your running 700watts on a 800watt psu, your killing your psu, you need a minimum of 200 watt space, im running an sapphire hd 6990 with 3 monitor setup on a $5000 rig, WASUP!

  • @papercut272 That's the wattage for the whole setup, including fans, dvd drive, etc. etc.

And yes, a quality 1,000w PSU will deliver 1,000w of continuous power (and often more, depending on the quality). And no, you are not killing your PSU by running it at 700w when it can deliver 800w continuous, you're just decreasing efficiency.

You having an expensive rig doesn't mean you know jack shit about computers.

  • @Fortune2point0 theres a difference in 800 watt rating and 800 watt delivery, thats why im saying you shouldnt be running 700watts on 800 watt rating and yes this will be killing ur psu, what are you like 12?

  • @papercut272 You're right, it's a good thing quality power supplies "power rating" are most often their continuous power delivery, like the Seasonic unit he ordered. No, you won't be. You know nothing.

  • @Fortune2point0 right, like if you have experience, why dont you go buy a rosewill 350watt and try to build the same thing he has, lets see what will happen to all your crap talk

  • @papercut272 Do you have Down's? Read my comments.

  • BETTER THAN PORN!

  • dude 8800GTX SLI is arleady running SC2 xtreme at 30FPS+... you could probably run it at a true 240hz with that setup lol, sick rig but a bit of an overkill

  • @felixantoinetremblay No, you could probs run it at ~100FPS on ultra and would probably drop during huge fights.

  • Comment removed

  • @Fortune2point0 well I never had under 25fps, ever (i meant utlra btw, not extreme) so i doubt it would drop below 100 at any time, btw guys, i would put a framerate cap in you .txt settings since there is no intregrated cap in the game so without it you always run at 100% so in the menus you'll get something like 500fps wich will produce tons of heat so you might BSOD, google it! very easy

  • @felixantoinetremblay 560 Ti SLI gets an average of 60FPS at 1080p with 4xAA (not sure if that's ultra or extreme). It will definitely drop below 100.

And that framerate cap issue on menus was fixed almost a year ago.

  • @Fortune2point0 it seems you are right about that but its kinda weird since my old ass cards play it perfectly... it would mean there isn't even a 100% improvement in 4 years... and it seems they did change the framecap issue, still, i prefer to run it at 30 fps capped since i couldnt run it at 60fps and 30x2=60hz somewhere between 30 and 60 is a waste.

  • @felixantoinetremblay If your old top-of-the-line cards play it at 25-30FPS, and current mid-highigh end cards play it at 60, how is that not a 100% performance increase?

And no, there's a big difference in fluidity between 30 and 55FPS.

  • @Fortune2point0 well u know humans only see 24fps right? so for a strategy game the difference between 30 and 60 is slim to none... it only matters for shooters and similar games. I said its only 100%, wich is not much if you compare with RAM and CPU performance increase, btw a 560ti is high end.. there is 3 cards better than that one from nvidia... 570, 580 and 590 wich is impossible to buy at the moment unless that changed recently, so lets say 2...

  • @felixantoinetremblay No, humans can see FAR more than 24FPS. Where are you getting your information? And there is a large performance difference between a 560ti and a 580. But SC2 is largely a CPU-bound game, so graphics card performance doesn't matter too much. I can run SC2 at 1680x1050 on ultra and get a solid 60+FPS on a GTX 460.

    And it is more than a 100% increase (25-30FPS vs 60+) comparing the 8800GTX to a GTX560Ti.

  • @Fortune2point0 9800gtx actualy, SLI, and you said 55-60 earlier so 200% of 25-30 is 50-60 (about 100% increase...) once again you are right, it seems it is a common misconception but humans see moving pictures without problem from 18 to 24fps so still, there is no difference past the 24fps mark unless your games requires 1/1000 seconds reaction time wich is not the case at SC2. There is a difference from 10 to 40% in performance between 560ti and 580 depending on which game you're playing

  • @felixantoinetremblay 8800GTX = 9800GTX, as far as performance goes, and they use very similar cores (the 512mb 8800GTS and 9800GTX are the same core). I said 60FPS, not 55-60. And with sufficient motion blur (like on TV programming), 24FPS is passable. On computer monitors/programs, 24FPS is not enough. Go play a game (any game) and cap it at 24FPS and try to tell me it's smooth or that there's no difference between 24FPS and 60FPS.

  • @Fortune2point0 well not 24 since 24x?=60hz so u need 30, but no there is NO difference... at least at sc2

  • @Fortune2point0 and gtx560ti x2 (SLI) will beat a 580 by 15-30% for 100$ less

  • @felixantoinetremblay I'm not arguing value, but you said there's less than a 100% performance increase in 4 years, yet you're comparing the previous top of the line $600 card to a current mid-highish end $300 card. Compare top of the line 4 years ago to top of the line now.

  • @Fortune2point0 i am comparing 300$ cards... i mean, there were probably 600$ cards at the time anyway, but dont say a 560ti is mid-high end, its top dude... with a mid end you cant play best graphics at 30fps+... its like saying i7 960 isnt high end since there is a i7 990x -_- i think we can agree that no one would ever these, unless they are outdated or millionaire

  • @felixantoinetremblay No, you're comparing a $600 card (8800GTX) to a $200-$300 card (GTX 560 Ti). Top of the line means top of the line, which would be the GTX 590.

And actually yeah, mid-end is 30FPS. The 960 is high end, but it isn't top of the line.

and yes, there is an ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE difference between 30FPS and 60. I can't ladder SC2 at 30FPS, it's too choppy and slow reacting.

  • @Fortune2point0 and i guess you're no. 1 in grand master? 30fps choppy... yeah right, btw i bought my cards 3 years ago and no, i didn't pay 600$ each... if you still doubt me look online, it was around 350 in early 2008 and 300 late 2008...

  • @felixantoinetremblay What does skill have to do with anything? I'm only plat/diamond, that has nothing to do with how choppy 30FPS is. Maybe you just have very low standards?

If you bought them 2 years after release yeah, you got them cheaper, I'm talking about release prices. In 2 years, 560Ti's will be $150ish, so then you're comparing $300 cards to $150 cards.

  • @Fortune2point0 i bought it in late 2008 -_- do some research man

  • @felixantoinetremblay The 8800GTX came out late 2006, do some research man.

  • @Fortune2point0 june 2008 actualy, research a the good place man!

  • @felixantoinetremblay According to nVidia's website, they (the 8800GTX and GTS) were released Nov 8th 2006. June 2008 was the GTX200 GPUs. HERP A FUCKING DERP.

  • @Fortune2point0 just so you know gts was actualy a cheap version of the standard gt... and dude, they didnt release the 8 series and 9 series at the same time... and even if they were similar, there were differences such as wait, memory? oh yeah, the 8 series wasnt available in the 1gb format, so, HERP A FUCKING DERP you say? lol?

  • @felixantoinetremblay The GT came after the GTS and was on an improved GPU (65nm/G92), the same one the 9800 series uses, although with less memory and bandwidth (although there was a 1GB version released) and a couple less shader cores and ROPs. The 8800GT 512mb performed better on average than the 8800GTS 320MB and 640MB. And yes, I know they didn't release the 8 and 9 series at the same time, when did I say that?

You're making yourself look like such a fucking moron, lol.

  • @Fortune2point0 you didnt say they where launched at the same time, yet you said my card (implying it is a 8800gtx) was released in 2006, never heard of the 8800gt with 1gb. Even if i did look like a moron i wouldn't care since this is internet... but i don't think i did. Dude if you don't trust me, don't, but I bought, in late 2008 (release year), a 9800gtx at 300$, not 600$. 30fps is well enough at sc2. A 560ti is high end, just not THE best.

  • @felixantoinetremblay @felixantoinetremblay I was under the impression that you had two 8800GTX seeing as you said "8800GTX sli already plays at 30FPS" or whatever and didn't correct me once when I said 3 times that I was talking about the 8800GTX.

The 9800GTX was $300 at release. 30FPS is enough for some people, but there is an absolutely huge difference between 30FPS and 60FPS. Yes, the 560Ti is highish end, it is not top of the line like the 8800GTX/9800GTX like I was saying the whole time.

  • @Fortune2point0 I tought you were saying 8800gtx since its a pretty similar card so i didnt correct you. So i guess we agreed more than we thought... i can see if a look closely a difference between 30 and 60, its there... but is it worth 300$ more? i don't think so, or as I said, not at sc2. If you want to see the exact comparaison between 30 and 60, type: 30fps vs 60fps in google, first link (cant type the adress here)

  • @felixantoinetremblay I don't need to look closely, a passing glance at someone else's computer that's running it at 30FPS is very easily noticeable. You must have bad eyes or low standards.

A .gif comparison is irrelevant here. Different game engines can look smooth at 30FPS (the original Crysis), while some look choppy at 50FPS (Source engine games).

  • @Fortune2point0 i don't play any other games than sc2, but I create architecture animations and we do them at 24fps, looks great... also i watched tv before flat screens, in standard definition, and it didnt look clear but it was far from chopy, i'd love you point out some games that have this issue where you need 50fps... because sadly I think you are A) lying B) very picky. Btw, how doesn't that animation give an actual comparaison?

  • @felixantoinetremblay Architecture animations are very different. And I said Source engine games... Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Counter Strike Source, Half Life 2.

The animation doesn't give a good comparison because it's a consistent FPS (not constantly fluctuating like a game, where "30FPS" could be fluctating between 25 and 35", and because it's not a video game engine and shows FPS drops very differently.

  • @Fortune2point0 In my case its caped, so it might drop at some times but most of the time it's stable at 30. I don't understand much how an unstable 30fps vs an unstable 60fps would change something.. anyway I was talking about sc2 and in this case, I guess the issue you're talking about does not apply since I've never seen it.

  • @felixantoinetremblay Because 60FPS is double the framerate of 30FPS. Like I said, you must just have low standards. I'd rather play on lowest settings and get a solid 60FPS than highest settings at 30FPS.

  • @Fortune2point0 Well I wouldnt, that's all i can say....

  • @felixantoinetremblay Like I said, low standards. What league are you in anyway?

  • @Fortune2point0 gold/diamond/diamond/platinum, i dont play lots of 1v1s, 30fps at ultra ain't low standards lol... 24 at medium is low standards but wtvr, idc much about it

  • @felixantoinetremblay 30FPS is indeed low standards. And if you're only in gold 1v1s that'd explain, once you get higher you need more responsive controls than 30FPS allows.

  • @Fortune2point0 didn't you say you were in plat?

  • @felixantoinetremblay Getting promotion soon, fighting mostly diamonds. There is a big difference between gold and plat though, much bigger than bronze-silver or silver-gold.

  • @felixantoinetremblay And the 512mb 8800GTS was actually a stronger version of the 8800GT. Lol.

  • @Fortune2point0 i didn't know there was an other version than the 320mb gts

  • @felixantoinetremblay I figured, you don't seem to know much at all about any of this.

  • @Fortune2point0 well so did I (about you) so I guess we at least agree on one point eh!

  • @Fortune2point0 well i did say: ''isn't even'' since its close (30fps vs 55-60) but not yet 100%

  • Im white, but i try to jump! help me max, Help me jump real high!! I needs mes somes NBAS traings!@!!! :D

  • hey jeff hit me up with that noiseee... i mean game:P please and thankyou

  • NBA for the win.

  • could i have the i7 processor instead :3

  • I want one bro

  • Plus, 850 Watt for a 560 SLI set up? Would have invested a bit more into a more powerfull PSU seeing as those 560's will be using quite a bit on full load

  • @bahneproductions 850 watts is way more than enough for dual 560Ti's. 850 would cover dual 580's easily.

  • Why did you say SLI 260s? Those are 560's bro

  • With that ridiculous GPU set up you best be playing at least 1920x1080, preferably 25x12. Is that a 22'' monitor I see? >: (

  • Skyrim Live Stream now ? :)

  • This machine is gonna get CHUBBY man.

  • me wanna play Nba :D

hit me up with that collab (or just the cd key)

    lool

  • Have to agree with him, unless you know how to build it dont(unless its cheap) i mean its not hard, but there are some points where you fuck up, you slip, you drop a part, then bye bye to about 300 dollars, especally when handling the cpu, that been said it is the funnest part:D

  • I need a computer game! :O

  • Today I upgraded my HD5850 OC edition to a HD6970 2GB. Sick card, but the fan makes a lot of noise compared to the 5850... Kinda dissapointed on that part. You'd think a 300 euro card wouldn't have such a ''con''.

  • @Michaelmop The way i deal with that in general is, game music to max, and head phones:D

  • me!! i love nba :D !
