  • Hey Captain! I really wish I could fish with you! We'll be like fishing tons of fishes in a single day! Hey, what do you think a 12 year old boy would use to fish fishes you catch?

  • Captain, What lb. leader and line do you recommend for fighting these Bull Sharks??

  • @MrJohnnyrace

I like 100 to 200lb wire leader for the big bull sharks.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • @captchancey Thankyou Captain. Tight lines !!!

  • hey man i fish at piers alot and i realy want to catch some shovel nose sharks or big rays can you please give me some tips thank you

  • @TheBlazewizard

You can fish with cut bait on the bottom.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • @TheBlazewizard

big chunks fo squid makes anyone a good fisherman!

  • @TheBlazewizard

I live in SoCal too, If you are lookin for big rays and sharks, go to blacks beach in San Diego.....use 40lb test mainline and an 80lb test topshot.....tie on a 9/0 owner circle and string on 2 whole market squid....rig ot up C-rig(sliding sinker rig) with a 100lb balll bearing swivel....cast it out, engage the clicker and throw the reel into freespool...let the fish run for 15 seconds and wind in em'...always practice catch and release!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love your show dude, that last bull shark looked like it weighed atleast 200 pounds

or more. nice catch! too bad im only 12 or i would go ocean fishing.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • @shovelking15

You can use Sting Rays, Jack Crevalle or even catfish. I like a 3 to 4 ft Steel Leader with a 10 to 14/0 hook. Tight Lines!

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • captain i love the show. shout out from minnesota. chew on this!

  • Word! Thank you very much.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • what would you recomend for marlins

  • sorry for asking so many questions. i know you use shimano for your open face.but on the avet do you greas up your drag plates or use dry drag plats the reason iam asking all this because iam going to go with avet or penn.trying to see which one is better

  • No I have never greased the drag plates. Sarkis and Harry the owners say not to so I listen to them.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • have you ever used this reels for trolling. are they good? Ex... trx 30 trx 50 or regular 30s or 50s

  • They are great for trolling. We just don't do much trolling here in SW Florida.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • Captain, on that nice bull at the end was that the lx two speed you got him on? i use the 6:0 single speed lx but its impressive how much line it holds, you can land a pretty good sized shark standing on the beach and i think the drag system is smooth and pretty powerful, and does a good job of slowing down big fast fish.

  • Actually that was the TRX30W and we landed it in about 2 minutes. LOL That is why it nearly pulled me out of the chair.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • Thats a lot of drag

  • im thinking about buying one for redfish and snook and fish like that what size sx should i use

  • @MsRyan1234567

The SX is the best size for that type of fishing.

  • im thinkin bout buying a Avet reel to use in the florida keys for medium sized sharks.Which reel would u guys recomend ?

  • The LX

  • Hi watch your show on you tube in the UK top show p.m.s.l i fish in sarasota florida when im on vacation what would be the best colour rapala count down magnums in 18 & 22 to use for trolling for barraduda and such in your opinion

  • i was fishing in a public lake and caught a 10ibs fish

  • Thanks, i though thats what it was. I just got me one of those and love it!!! AVETS ROCK your so lucky to be sponsered by them!

  • ey capt u are the best man!!!

  • Hey capt is that blue avet an pro 30 wide?

  • Yes Sir.

  • hey capt im a big channel catfishing guy do you think you can switch it up an do a fresh water fishing show

  • Yes, one of these days I am going to do one. I had some Canadian guys come down and film a Goliath show with me for their own show up there. They catch 20 and 30 pound Catfish up there so that sounds awesome.

    God Speed,

    Capt Ben

  • There is a bullhead cat in a small lake in my community. Must be 10-15lbs, which is huge for a small lake in a community. I hooked him TWICE! Keeps breaking my darn 8lbs test! My rod says it can hold up to 20lbs test but when I put on the 15, it tangles up and the rod gets jammed. What should I do?

  • you have the best job in the world mate, I wanna join u !

  • Great Comment!

    God Speed,

    Capt Ben

  • hey i agree, I've only had 2 encounters with sharks, My dad caught a 7 1/2 Tger shark on a charter, and for about a week there were bluefish (10-14") around where we lived and i threw one out and my DEAP SEA ROD WITH 70lb TEST DOUBLED OVER AND THE LINE SSNNAAPPEEDD!!!!!!! i was like "HOLY CRAP I CAUGHT LOCH NESS!!!"

  • i think the mistake that shark did was that it didnt say "Chew on this!!" before it ate the bait...

  • Comment removed

  • sweet

  • great video! did you catch him on that little bait that was on the line in the video

  • We actually caught it on a Ladyfish.

  • Are ladyfish also called skip jacks.

  • No, ladyfish are like Tarpon and have very oily meet. Just do a search on them and you will find all kind of neat info.

    Capt Ben
