They have them in Atlanta too, but it's 2 hours from here! T_T

  • Looks Good to me, and 280 is cheaper then most meals in the us and rice and beef with tofu would fill you up more than a Hamburger.

  • 280 yen is around 3 dollars i think :)

  • Fast food in japan is healthy food in the U.S.

  • @SatoshiBatista it really is lol we're awful.

  • I've got that shichimi-togarashi-stuff too, and it really is spicy! it's contain's 7 types of japanese peppers.

  • i miss this stuff so bad

  • I want a new vid :D I'm inpatient.

  • I love your videos about Japanese Fast food and always look forward to new ones. Sugakiya?, Yamachan? Conveyer Sushi Restaurant?, Miso-Nikomi-Udon?Hitsumabushi?, Yabaton? Ippudo?

  • you know. . . we've got Yoshinoya in the US. Well, in here in California we do. But we have Americanized beef or chicken with steamed cabbage and carrots over rice with teriyaki sauce. And thats pretty much it. I would give ANYTHING to have the choices you have over there. I try to eat as ethnically as I can to expand my horizons, but its hard to do when you're on a short lunch break. Even when you work in the "asian" part of town.

  • itadakimasss:D

  • NICE, i wanna eat there now!!

  • The exchange rate -used- to be approximately 100 yen = $1. The dollar is currently only worth about 80 yen, so 280 yen is approximately $3.50.

  • hey tom how old r u this year? <3

  • I really enjoy your videos Tom! My brother studied abroad there last year and I have always wanted to go myself. I like how you describe everything in an informative and humorous way. Keep it up!

  • i'm with google $2.80

  • Google says it's about $3.40.

  • haha so do I.

280 yen in american is about $2.80 cents in american.

  • HOw much is 280 yen!

  • 280Yen=3.5dollars=2.4Euro=21swedish krona ;)

  • @atabekan 18 Norwegian Kroners.... For 21 NOK you get 500ml bottle of coke and some Yum Yum! noodles...

  • @atabekan actually i think you got it back words with the yen, a usd is about 95 yen so round it. forgive me if im rong.

  • @atabekan Skulle fan kostat 80 spänn minst här. Detta och Sukiya är dom ställerna jag kommer äta på när jag är i Japan. ^^

  • i think a dollar or two

  • you REALLY look like my english teacher :|

  • :O

    Totally hungry now.

  • wow 280 yen, thats $2.80 USD thats really cheap, is it good?

  • Thanks for yet another interesting video! I always enjoy watching your videos, wether they're about music, Nelson or Japan. Japan and my home country, Norway, has got about the same prices on housing, food and clothing, but food for 280 yen (18 NOK) is impossible to find. A Big Mac menu is 100 NOK here. (1500 yen). But still, Norway's got the cheapest food in the world, if you see it in the same context as our salaries. We use on average 11% of our money on food, which is the lowest in the world

  • 1,63 LVL in Latvia - quite cheap!

  • There is mcdonalds or burguer king in japan ?? :l IDK

  • @HabboFinHands Of course. They've even got KFC, and Wendy's are planning a re-opening.

  • @HabboFinHands I know that there is a Mcdonalds in China. So odds are, yeah, its there.

  • man, i miss beefbowl! Going back for the summer to eat my fill again!:D

  • thats £2.09 in england, thats quite cheap

  • 280 yen is 18 Kroner in Norway, that's cheap.

  • That would be 8 Lita in Lithuania

  • It's almost 10 zloties in Poland. Not as cheap as I thought ;p

  • €2,30 ^^ Not expensive at all and sooo oishii!

You should do these random vlogs more often :)

  • It's 3.44$ ^^

  • has anyone ever told you that you sound like Richard Dreyfus? Cause you kinda do... lol

  • Anyone interested ¥280 is about $3.45. ^_^

  • Nice vid tom! As always, some kind of interesting stuff!! You should record something at the university too!

  • This is why all Japanese people are fat. trollololol

  • we have one two cities away. never been there tho :[

prolly not as good as Japanese Yoshinoya's tho

  • itadakimasu!!

  • I wonder, at what time do Japanese people normally have their dinner?

  • when you do the peace sign its actually a upside down cross that was made to curse the christian religion.

  • @funnyman540 Do your research before you say any crap you think. Just because someone used something someway in the past does not mean that it has any significance on are modern day perception. You can't take what something that meant one thing too one generation of people and just think another one has too think the same way it is so stupid and backwards you should be ashamed.

  • @roltthehunter okay, shut the fuck up and listen to me.

people like you have a really thick skull and need to be put down in front of people.

    so here it goes.

its originally created as a anti-christian sign to curse jesus and god himself.

now its still the same thing, its just being perverted as a peace sign by famous anti-war assholes who never knew what it was.

  • @roltthehunter also use your manners and you'll be treated respectively.

  • @funnyman540 Get bent, hows that i do not have respect for morons who try too make people follow them by spreading misinformation..

  • Comment removed

  • @roltthehunter my ass its misinformation, I got that info from a very reliable source.

  • @roltthehunter and don't make assumptions, you'll look like an asshole.

  • @funnyman540 Wikipedia "V sign". It originated when the French claimed that they would cut off the arrow-shooting fingers of all the English and Welsh longbowmen after they had won the battle at Agincourt. But the English came out victorious and showed off their two fingers, still intact. Your information likely came from a radical Christian propaganda group. Christianity is NOT bad, but anyone from any group can spread lies to reinforce their stance, and others can get tripped up by those lies.

  • @Arucardh4x0r Wikipedia is edited by billions of people, all the people in the world who have access to the internet have access to Wikipedia. so how do you know its true?

  • @funnyman540 Because it's also moderated, fact checked, and any biased/false information is removed. It's nowhere near a free-for-all that a few bad apples could have if they started their own website. Its public accessibility is actually a great method of self-regulation. If you try to edit a page with unprovable info (that isn't common knowledge) one of the mods will revert it. It's surprisingly easy to catch edits and vandalism, and they're corrected with literally just the push of a button.

  • @Arucardh4x0r I got my info not from prikopedia but from a educational youtube video that said what I did when you focused your trolling. I forgot the video and you probably wouldn't watch it anyway. so stfu and let me enjoy my fucking life.

  • @funnyman540 Enjoy your life, but don't try to force your ideals on other people, especially when you have no proof. Sorry for trying to debate you with a respectful tone. It's too bad you're basing a belief on "what some guy who made a youtube video" thinks (your, and I quote, "very reliable source"), who probably got it from (or maintains/owns) one of those radical Christian sites that try to shock you into believing you're being persecuted by everything around you without regard for reality.

  • @funnyman540 And just so you know, as soon as you start accusing everyone who disagrees with you as being a troll, your credibility starts to go out the window. Resorting to name-calling in a conversation/debate doesn't help your case either. It just wastes your comment's character-limit and takes away from space where you could start actually making a point. Have a nice time on this earth, and I hope one day you grow up enough and keep your perspective open enough to truly appreciate it.

  • @Arucardh4x0r Well said. Im constantly having to assure people around me of Wikipedia's credibility, it may even be argued that this self regulation you mention increases it.

  • @funnyman540 I did not make any, so yeah you are stupid nothing you have said has made any real sense and you never even defended what you said in your first post, you seem too be the one making assumptions........................ Oh i get it you are just a troll..

  • @roltthehunter changing the subject? you sir show signs of trolling.

  • Thanks for posting this. I first discovered Yoshinoya in Southern California when I was 17 years old. I worked at a Del Taco fast food place, but would eat Yoshinoya beef or teriyaki chicken bowl on my break. Even back then they had that red pickled ginger. Now, 30 years later, I'm living in Taiwan and I eat at Yoshinoya here. I even keep shichimi togarashi in my house as a staple seasoning (great on salad, eggs, whatever). BTW, I love your videos and always look forward to new ones.

  • Damn, I remember when 100 yen was 1$, now the dollar is basically worthless & still sinking in value.

  • They have Yoshinoya in the U.S.

  • There is Yoshinoya here in Hong Kong too~ I love their rice!

  • Yum Yum .... compare this 280 yen meal to some "better" fas foods or a normal place in Japan - how much is for a decent meal ?

  • I'm really hungry now, thanks Tom... Haha.

  • Cheep as chips then! lol :)

  • I'm Japanese. I've cheered him inwardly since I just happened to know his videos. He introduces every day stuffs of Japan.

  • The ones in the US suck. Lol

  • They have a branch in Hollywood,Ca use to go there after school when I was in a rush to get food and goto work

  • So when are they going to open their chain in America! We need more healthy food!

  • I dont care how plain it seem to you Tom, we wanna see every ounce of japan that we at home cant see yet!

    Domo arigato gozaimasu!

  • yeah we have this in LA.

  • The US Dollars sucks and it's only getting worse.--talking about suck, shit, or just plain crappy our fast food sucks balls! We're a country of fat pigs, 2/3 rd's of the nation fat...So, if we're ever attacked---we're screwed. I recently saw on CNN that McDonald's is trying to fatten up Japan--and if I'm correct there are about 3,598 McDonald's in Japan. What's the sentiment out there because if you eat McDonald's you might as well kill yourself now. Peace!!

  • @residentflea >implying weight matters when you're shooting the enemy from your porch.

but then again, our nation is going hippie on us, so yea I guess you're right.

  • @Just4Th3Lulz LOL then you will be drafted & I'm not fat either. I guess the point I'm making and since you are in America you can agree to this. American's are fat. I'm not talking 10 pounds over weight. I'm talking about hearing their foot steps run to a fast food place, hearing the sweat pour down their necks and hearing them chew and make animals sounds is just disgusting. And because of these fat fucks, they are changing what's in foods. All I know is this. I don't super size a tooth pick
