When was the last time a Hollywood film cast Jews in a negative light? I can't think of a single instance. The writers of films like this have no problem denigrating Greeks, and any other racial/ethnic group, simply because they hate us and anything of European origin. I am not an anti-semite, but there are some Jews in Hollywood who are very radical.

"The Passion" was totally factually inacurate and much of it wasn't in the Gospels. To cite a few examples the crucified thief who mocked Jesus wasn't attacked by a crow, no Jewish guard threw Jesus off a bridge, King Herod wasn't gay, and Pilate wasn't a kind ruler who was reluctant to crucify people. Much of Gibson's source material was from two anti-Semitic nuns from the 1600s and 1700s.

"Weird Science" was more realistic than "The Passion".

I lived in Astoria NY (one of the largest Greek communities in US) - the stereotyping of Greeks was very typical from Anglo-Saxon/Polish/German types in New England, we are like "Puerto-Rican"/"Arab" half-breeds to them.
