@ShinLa83 Just search for theaquatools on google, click on it, measure your tank and the tool will calcule your tank size. Or multiply the width by the length by the height then divide by 1.000 and you will find if your tank is 15 gallons or not :D
hey! thanks for all the advice. Now im trying to get a protein skimmer and a ho light so I can start a reef tank around aug/sept. I am deciding between the tunze 9002 and the cpr aeroforce. Do you know anything about them? I thought about the aquac remora nano but I heard they are loud and that the tunze performs better? But CPR just released teh aeroforce in sept and it looks amazing....
I'm posting up a video about the noise with AquaC Remora this week on how to silence them like a sleeping baby. It's very, very easy and you can do it with things you already have running in the house. Remora works instantly soon as you set it up. As for Tunzes.... it's a Germany company, end of story lol. Having a Tunze is like having a BMW or a Mercedes lol. Not too sure about the CPR aeroforce though. Hope that helps, cheers!
Protein skimming is a type of filtration, it gets rid of excess protein waste and also dissolved organic compounds. If your heavily stocked with fish, shrimp, crabs, etc (livestock), then you will have excess protein. You can do weekly water changes if it's a fairly small tank with low livestock, but again, if your tank is heavily stocked then I'd suggest you get a protein skimmer. But always, it's a personal choice rather than anything. Skimmers are for both fish only and with corals
Yea, the bigger one is getting bigger and bigger, darker by the day. Ocellaris gets pretty dark when they grow, they lose the light color. The tiny one is still tiny haha. Thank you, i move the rocks around a lot, never satisfied ;x
if ur gunna keep this a FOWLR i suggest adding some sort of anemone at least. also i would add some carnivorous colorful starfish that reef tanks cant have. it would make your tank look really special compared to the typical nano reef.
looks more than 15

Does your rock lean up against the glass on both sides and the back? Would I be able to do that on my 33 gallon? (36lx12wx18h) thanks
xSTeSHy 9 months ago
@xSTeSHy Don't lean too much, it holds but you don't want to put all the weight to shatter it.

you should slowly add corals for color!

what flow would you recommend for a 12 gallon tank? I was thinking either 85 gph or a 120 gph.
Elton4ever21 1 year ago
@Elton4ever21 I used Koralia Nanos. A lot of flow is never a problem, in the ocean, the currents are extremely strong =d
