Anti-aircraft fire is worthless. Anyone remember the scenes from the first Gulf War, where Baghdad was streaming that crap into the air over the city? They didn't hit a thing. Rockets, that's how you take down planes, Surface to Air rockets.

during the kosovo serbia war when the US got involved 3 "stealth" bombers got shot down. during the gulf war a couple us jets were shot down.

Only 1 F-117 was shot down in Kosovo, and it took the Serbs 4 nights of a lone plane flying exactly the same route to do it.

Yes indeed it is. Perhaps he's talking about flak, which used to be useful, but jets go too fast and don't have to even get near the city to attack.
