  • @WestEmBi Thank you & Happy Mixing!

  • that was a very cool video for you to post and share of yourself bro- you mentioned a very great many points without having to get to technical or tell all your secrets ;) that track sounded pretty bangin too from what you played of it! Cheers to you my friend!

  • @utopiajj Thanks a bunch for your kind words! The track will be on my new album which is released in 10 days. Happy Mixing!

  • WHat is name your Keyboard ??? pls answer !

  • @GTIBEAT I use an Edirol PCR-M50 as my midi controller! Cheers!

  • @amirmuzic ok

  • @GTIBEAT its a m audio axiom 49 or 88

  • I’m sure if you search harder, you’ll find tons of great videos and tutorial on your desired style of music. Of course drum-micing & guitar/bass amp micing require more detailed engineering and more analog equipment. I have played guitars & drums for many years but my musical career has drifted to electronic genres. So don’t get offended by this video. :) Since you started setting up your studio, maybe you should do some video tutorials. I’d love to see them. Happy Mixing!

  • they me, why everybody who as an studio today is interest only in beats, and electronics music, because i starting a studio, but, my interest is the rock, guitars, real drums etc. which is the real point, that the people just wants electronic beats?? or that the rock way with real drums and etc is lot expensive??

    tell me.

  • what software you using? reason?

  • @edwardgarvin11850 Cubase. I use Reason from time to time. Happy Mixing!

  • @amirmuzic u ever use fl or abelton??

  • @edwardgarvin11850 I use Ableton as part of my live setup.

  • love the rythm

  • @Basskicker93 Thank you :)

  • YOU HAVE ONE BAD ASS BATTLE STATION....

  • @DMAN71711 Thank you :)

  • @DMAN71711 haha indeed.

  • are the monitors next to the krk's activated? do you use them too?

  • @DiscJockeyPEDROo Yes I use them as reference monitors for mix-downs. Happy Mixing!

  • How can I buy Sylinth1..Anyone have a website I can go too? I have looked it up but can't find a site for it.

  • @pianoj89 Look up Lennar Digital.

  • @amirmuzic I looked them up and they pay in pounds...should I still order from them in?

  • hey whats up amir?? 1. youre awesome, keep up the amazing work! 2. this video is so informational and i watch it all the time to refresh my memory! lol but i was wondering what you recommend for beginner, i.e. synths, performance/drum pad, midi controller, etc. whats some basic hardware/software you would recommend, not necessarily brand names or anything just basic things. thanks alot man!

  • @DerekDrockRondeau Thank you Derek! There are tons of equipment out there. Start with a descent sequencer. I use Cubase. But try a few & see which one you like (Ableton, Logic, FL, etc). Most of them have built in samplers, VSTs & D-machines to get you started. NI has some descent Synths. It's all a personal preference & what you're comfortable with. Do your research, if it works & sounds good, then just get creative and start producing; don't be too fussy :) Good luck & Happy Mixing!

  • Great video, man. You have a great workflow. It's always nice to get a sneak peak inside the room where all the magic happens and hear different musicians explaining their process. I'm working on a house beat, have been for a few days now, and the mix is almost there. I enjoy taking my time with the mix. Like you said, it's like cooking, there's no rush and more often than not, less is truly more.

  • @flyingsoundmachine Tks for your kind words! Yes, simplicity is the key! See you on big stages & Happy Mixing!

  • yo man i need help whats the first step to become a producer.... I have an ear for music and i know i can achieve being a producer especially for house..

  • @hypercrush2442 I think you have taken the first step: believing in yourself & following your dreams. 2nd step is to get some equipment & software and learn them inside out...

    Good luck & Happy Mixing!

  • fuck nice music..i like your style.. LIKEEEEE

  • @tsurapis Thanks man!

  • Thanks Amir, i learn a lot from you ;-)

  • @DoubleDustOfficial Anytime! Glad it helped you out! Happy Mixing!

  • You're extra cool Amir!

    :)

  • @TranceElevation Haha Thank you!

  • GOOD MAN)!

  • Thanks, amazing!

  • Nice.. Inspiring!

  • Thank you so much!! This really helped me with alot of problems! Keep it coming! Love it!

  • @gimli121 Glad it helped you! All the best & Happy Mixing!

  • Fun to watch. Good vid. I like the mix of hardware and software you got going on.

  • @everymonth1 Thank you!

  • Hey bro. Thanks for the info. In your opinion, what is the best start up software for music production (ableton, FL studio)?

  • @ilovehouse888 Hey man I really can’t tell you what the best thing is for you. Almost all sequencers have the basic song-writing & arrangement functionalities. When it comes to more detailed stuff (such as third-party VST & plugins, post production etc.) that’s where sequencers start to show their various capabilities. Do some research and see what you’re comfortable with. Good luck & Happy Mixing!

  • @amirmuzic k sounds good. Thank you.

  • @ilovehouse888 Ableton for live and Flstudio for studio....it tells you in the names. Ableton started out as a live oriented software that added indepth recording capabilities later on where as FLstudio has been creating useful studio software and added live functions later. I own Fl studio but would not use it live.

  • @LatigidGolana cool thank you. I appreciate it.

  • Hello! im your expertise and time in the field, what would be the MUST have tools to start producing electronic music? at the end of your video you say that i could get away by having a laptop and keyboard, what keyboard would you recommend to get and why? also if you would choose a software to produce music which one would be at the top of your list?

    thank you so much!!

  • @bimbopapasito You need a sequencer (Cubase, Logic, FL, Ableton, etc.), a couple of VST synths, maybe a drum sequencer and some samples. I can't tell you which ones and why? It's like telling you what is the perfect car for you and why. It's all a personal preference! With today's technology, you can find great computers out there, PC or Mac (laptop/desktop), for descent prices. Just do your homework & see what fits into your budget and what you are comfortable with. Good luck & Happy Mixing!

  • How long have you been producing for? and do you have any tips please? I love music and production but sometimes it can get veryyy! frustrating and always thinking of giving up :/ but its something i want to do with my life and career

  • @KrackhauSwag I have been producing for over a decade but I turned it into a profession a couple of years ago. Yes, it can get very frustrating. You need all the Ts (talent, technology & tolerance) to succeed in this business. Just focus, practice, research and believe in yourself and you will make it soon! Best of luck & Happy Mixing!

  • cool

  • hey so how did you set up your korg pad kaos to work with your program

  • @TheMiccheck1212 I use it via Send/Return on my audio interface and/or mixer. Good luck & Happy Mixing!

  • i kinda liked your style hope you can do whatever you love bout making music for as long as u want. Keep up the good work.

  • @sbechristos11 Thank you for your kind words! I wish all the best as well! Happy New Year!

  • Check out Knife Party!!!

  • hey nic vid !!! but im put up a small studio set but im concern about the space i hav it small say about a 10 x10 size do u think i should make a vocal booth? or jus sound proof have that space and work from there?

  • @vibestouch1 Thank you. For better recording of vocals and most instruments a vocal/recording booth is always recommended. You have to keep in mind a good condenser microphone can pick up all noises including your computer’s fan and other gears’ noise. However if you are on a budget and short of space you can look into Reflection Filters. Good luck & Happy Mixing!

  • nice checkout mine

  • i just have a question, is it possible to get a " professional sound" by just using software? I use ableton and all the tracks i make everyone says are really good just need to be mastered. I dont have the money to spend to have professionals look at my tracks. is it possible to get the perfect sound through software? say izotope ozone 4 or waves bundle? THANK YOU :)

  • @KrackhauSwag Yes is it :)

  • @KrackhauSwag Most Electronic musician only rely on softwares and soft-synths. Make sure you understand the concept of mixing; Dynamics & frequency range of individual instruments. A good mix helps with a better sounding mastered track. Go to Future Music Mag's channel and watch their studio session tutoriala with big-name artists. It will give you an insight on how they produce their tracks and what kind of gear they use. Good luck & Happy Mixing!

  • are you using the mx 518 for the mouse?

  • @mangalsk8erboy No it's a Microsoft wireless mouse.

  • "the kick is the heart beat of the song" . SO TRUE!

  • Comment removed

  • If you make House music for glory and money you re full of s%*t but if you make it for the internal feeling of getting out of the present and into another dimension you ll get respect from the real House freaks because we dont like reheated commercial stuff or sounds that 'everybody' uses.If you want real House music search the Underground because this is where the real good music is not in the mainstream shit

  • @SonofJaphet

    Truth!

  • @SonofJaphet EXACTLY !! Another way to tell is when you stop having fun/excitement producing House...you may be in that "Full of s%*t" category also.

  • @SonofJaphet Your right but if ur an artist and you want to take some money oute of it,for you, your family etc...commercial staff is what will give you money and not real "house music"..Thats why some artists, djs, producers take that "road"..so is not always for glory some people take that road..just saying ..

  • @DjGiannisP Very true!

  • @amirmuzic Thanx man!!nice video..great studio...!!

  • More and More studios are using software's vs. actually buying the transistor run gear, the hardware.

  • Can I please get that kick drum? It sounds so awesome!

  • @HjorturTheDawg I'd love to send it to you but unfortunately it's part of a sample-pack that will be released in 2012. Sorry! Happy Mixing!

  • @amirmuzic When will it be released and what will it be called?

  • @HjorturTheDawg Mid 2012. I will release the info soon on my site. Tks.

  • what is the name of the 3-way-speaker?

  • @djdadalucas The smaller ones are KRKs and the bigger one is a Hi-fi reference monitors by a company called Akai. Hope that helps. Happy Mixing!

  • @amirmuzic yep i also have the KRK 10-3 ;) i like the Hi-Fi speakers u have there... ;) if u like music that is ART.. check out my channel ;) not for every taste.. but for people who know what music is and how to work with it ;)

  • The sound is good until the vocals kicks in they kinda ruined my "hell yeah this is stomping" feeling. It just turns it into something more nice and maybe gayish, but I really appreciate your video, keep it up I love watching these videos about how people do housemusic.

  • @M3sslah I agree with you myself! This song is actually all done now for my new alubm to be released early 2012. I removed the vocals (as it was only experimental for the time being) and it now sounds more like a world cup anthem with some bells and whistles. My songs always go through stages till they form into their final shape. Thanks for your feedback & Happy Mixing!

  • @amirmuzic hey cool we agreed there =) I do prefer a nice female voice for house or a black guy or a lowpitched rough whiteguy voice. So it's mostly about finding the right vocal and also having that guy not singing something to cheesy. But I like the beat otherwise I am looking forward to seeing more stuff from you. I would like to ask you a question not sure you know but if I want an older mixingdesk to get a grittier sound, more old school analog sound where should I look, what brands?

  • @M3sslah For a mixer, you can try Mackie's 32.8 Analog. Many hits of the 90's and even today's have been mixed on this board. But it all comes down to your budget and your needs (# of channels/sends/returns). You could also try distoring some of your sounds or even whole tracks or try adding some subtle white noise. You can even use Tape Recorder plugins such as UAD's Studer® A800 Multichannel Tape Recorder Plug-In to get that warmth and analog sound. Hope it helps & Happy Mixing!

  • @amirmuzic Thanks for the reply, sounds like good tips and I will check them out, Good luck on your track release.

  • @amirmuzic Because my problem is I think everything sound to clean in the pc/mac, I miss the old dirt and warmth that was in the music before. Especially for making deep house, dirty techno, hard house and so on it needs more dirt. Maybe a compressor is enough to run the signal through but just something to take away the sterile feeling that surface from most software plugins. Maybe you got other tips for getting stuff dirtier?

  • actually no 1:32

  • actually no 1:34

  • actually 1:35

  • the "KKIICCKK" !!! 1:39

  • @aasgp1 The kicks is original. It's actually a couple of origial kicks layered! Hope that helps & good luck!

  • @aasgp1 lol!

  • What the name of the sample pack you used? (for the kick & toms) ... you said a name but I didn't understand it

  • @djvoiceless The kick & toms are original samples that I had layered and tuned myself. The drum sequencer is Guru by Fxpansion and some of the samples in the percussion loops are by Vengeance Sound. Hope that helps & Happy Mixing.

  • Haha this video is great fun! I noticed you said you find knowledge one of the most important tools. Do you just get yours from experience or do you find forums and things like that to be valuable?

  • @machspeed24 Thanks man! Honestly it could come from a variety of sources...Forums, magazines, friends, YouTube, manuals and of course life and maturity; but as an artist never give away your true age :)

Future Music Magazine has some one-on-one videos with big-name artists on their channel that reveals some of their secrets and apporaches to recording.

    Good luck & Happy Mixing!

  • Energetic and a lot of gear. Go for goal

  • @rawstarmusic Thank you & all the best!

  • Now as far as editing tools. Right now im messing around with a program called Mixcraft, but just recently I got ableton live. So all i have been doing so far is plugging in sample loops from different websites i downloaded from and messing with eq and different fx tools. What would be your selection on an editing software??

  • @Djfuze3306 I personally use Wavelab & Cubase. But you can do all this within Ableton or any other sequencer. Apart from sampling/chopping/layering to modify sounds/hits/beats, you can use various VSTs to create original drum hits (kicks, snares, cymbals). Good luck!

  • This video is great, I have a quick question though...

Im starting to get into creating my own house beats.. What is your typical basic equipment will i need to start out with???

  • @Djfuze3306 Hey thank you. Your #1 tool should be knowledge and #2 creativity :) Other than that most sequencers nowadays (Cubase, Logic, Fruity Loops, etc...) provide you with great samplers, audio editing tools and drum machines to get you started. Don't be shy to experiment with sound and watch your frequencies & levels. Warp your sounds, layer them and pan them. There are no limits. Good luck & Happy Mixing!

  • eival

  • @sgtVAIN Merci!

  • you make it look so easy :D

  • @DavidL1980 Little practice makes everything easy :)

  • Love the video. Just had a question, What are the settings you used to make your synth on the sylenth1? Is it from an init patch you made or is it from a existing preset. Go to know how you made it cause it sounds great. It sounds like a glide. Let me know. Thanks

  • @djraffis Thank you! If I remember correctly it was originally a 303 sound (or any warped preset would work) that I tweaked. I added Pitch AB in MOD ENV 1 so it gets that pitch-rising feel. Hope that helps! Happy Mixing!

  • Appreciate this video man, Helped me alot :D

  • @RealRapMusic187 Glad you enjoyed it. All the best!

  • @3601Ruben I use Cubase as my main sequencer. Happy Mixing!

  • אתה מישראל אמיר זה נפוץ בישראך

  • @11ronron Sorry I wish I spoke Hebrew :)

  • nice studio you got some nice bit of kit!!!

  • @DarkH3art2908 Thank you & Happy Mixing!

  • Finaly someone smart honest and open to talk about production! :) good luck in future work!

  • @milosbrkovic Thank you for your kind words Milos! Happy Mixing!

  • Great Video! So informative!

  • @erythineverpfect Thank you!

  • I really like your karizma and vibes man ,your approach and thats great.

For me this video was usefull cause of your tips but it was the most usefull cause it gave me more confidence. I got to this video cause i was seeking for dance house production tips ,searching for inspiration (Romanian style dance).

Anyways good work and wish you all best.

  • @KeezProdOfficial Thanks man! Appreciate it! Good job on your songs. I use Reason too, from time to time; I started way back with Cakewalk and Propellerhead ReBirth. Keep up the good work and see you on big stages! Cheers!

  • very nice!! good guy ,,long hair ,,iam too!!! keep the music !!i hope you like my own productions!??? greets from berlin(germany)

    SIMS DEEP ART- mickey berlin

  • @kanemurasims Thanks Mickey! I listned to your work. Great stuff man! Keep it up & Happy Mixing!

  • Good 'ol 4/4

  • NICE VID . ..

  • @ivandelafetv Thanks Ivan!

  • I really like this video dude :P

  • good old vengeance has made it easy for dummies to produce

  • @saigondj Hey everyone's gotta start somewhere. Vengeance is quite out-dated now, but if you do some sample chopping, gut it out to get a hit or two out of it, it still ain't bad.

  • @amirmuzic Any recomendations for sample packs? U probably tired of that question

  • @Middollo There are many companies specializing in Dance/Electronic genre sample libraries; Loopmasters, Big Fish Audio, Sample Magic, Prime loops... Just shop around...You can also try sampling drums & percussion hits from your favorite tracks, then filter/warp them or layer them...Get creative...The possiblities are endless!

  • @amirmuzic well, if vengeance is "outdated" what do you recommend?

  • @blendElectro My answer is same as what I told @Middollo: There are many companies specializing in Dance/Electronic genre sample libraries; Loopmasters, Big Fish Audio, Sample Magic, Prime loops... Just shop around...You can also try sampling drums & percussion hits from your favorite tracks, then filter/warp them or layer them...Get creative...The possiblities are endless!

  • producing is easy, mastering is the hard part

  • @saigondj Mixing is also very important. A clean mix makes mastering a lot easier!

  • Great stuff man. .....1 thing i'd want to say to your veiwers is:

Try making your own percussion loops / and drums. There are plenty sample packs out there with Amazing 'single drum hits'. Sometimes Loops will mess up the frequencies of your track, Or restrict you from going somewere. I think its better to add 1 or 2 loops Later. ....And also... Dont Quantize much more than Kick an Snare, Build your groove without Quantize on- Create your own Swing:) again, great tutorial. We Think alike

  • @Judeastonez Thank you! I agree with you 100%. Using "hits" and "singles" to make original loops and percussions sets is a fantastic idea. Most professional producers go as far as creating their own kits. Also I suggest to everyone to try to chop up loops and rearrange them. Another hint: use pitch control to shift the hits. I also agree with the quantizations suggestion; let your ears be the judge. Thanks for your feedback & Happy Mixing!

  • @amirmuzic Coolman:) Great video again. An Love your setup. I have a Prophet08 module...... but the rest is in ITB (not by choice lol) you have a lot of nice toys

    peace

  • @Judeastonez Thanks bro. All the best & see you on big stages!

  • keep pressing 3.... :D

  • Thx for the tutorial I want to be a music producer when I grow up so this really helped me. Even though I'm 15 I try to make music on my ipod

  • @Infamousavior Thank you! Follow your dreams and don't give up! See you up on big stages man! Good luck!

  • Pretty good tutorial on how to make house music. Don't listen to any of the haters. This really helped me out because when I grow up I wanna become a music producer of all genres. Even though I'm only 15 I still try to make music on my iPod

  • @Infamousavior Thank you!

  • this is not house music biatch.

  • @mikado2 Thanks for your feedback!

  • drumcomputer? Logic Cubase or FL Studio have a drum pattern

  • @NussPenis If you are asking what drum machine/sequencer I use, it'sGuru. As for my host sequencer I use Cubase. Good luck!

  • 1:30 this is what i do this is what i do this is what i do i sit on you sit on you sit on you this is what i do i sit on you right on your head.

  • What do you begin programming in first, the percussion beat?

  • @RockstahRolln I always start with the kick & then snares/claps. I add the percussion as the song is building up. This way, if I have to tune any percussion, I can tune it accordingly with the song structure.

  • You are right about House music being built around a beat and percussion! that's precisely what it is! My problem is the percussion bit, I dont know how to program them in...

  • @RockstahRolln For percussion be creative and don't be shy to experiment. If you use samples, make sure they are high quality; chop and reverse them, add some delay. If you are using single samples/hits, try to sequence them on off-beat notes. For example in a bar with 1/16 quantization, try to set your hits/samples on 3rd, 7th, 9th, 13th notes; kinda like the high hats! Good luck and happy mixing!

  • @amirmuzic Thank you Amir for your quick response and for giving me direction, I will surely try this today and let you know how it turns out. This is actually where I am having my problem, sequencing percussion...

  • @RockstahRolln Glad I could be of help. Good luck!
