She was intended to play a larger role in Zeta, but I believe her seiyu was on a safari in Africa at the time, so she couldn't make it for the part. Tomino just changed it up and wrote her out of the main story. The picture was probably early Zeta art, or a fan drawing who just liked Sayla a lot.

Odd that the darkest Gundam show of all got the calmest,cheeriest song. You could argue that After War Gundam X was darker but in X the fighting stopped. After Zeta things were only halfway.

Too bad Kammile commits suicide and if this happens in the series,whoops,my bad, but it's also HEAVILY implied on one of the movies or the novel if i'm not mistaken. Though I really don't find it too surprising, Kamille's psyche is fragile compared to Amuro, Judau or Char. again,also mentioned either sublimely or bluntly in the anime/movie. in fact, u can deduce that just by his reactions to common events of life. I do pity him though, easily in MY OPINION A MUCH BETTER LEAD CHARACTER THAN AMURO

i kinda wish they spent more money on the new translation... the computer graphics works on the new translation movie is unbelievable.. i mean IT didnt even look like all the new cg they used for 00 or seed or anything, it looked totally badass and flows like fluid! it captured the grace mobile suits had when they were drawn! :< oh well original zeta gundam scenes was pretty cool i guess. patch work tomino eh?

I've seen Mobile Suit Gundam Wing (personal favorite) and G Gundam (guilty favorite). I'm sad to say I have never seen the original, the following series such as this or any of the newest gundams. I saw those two excellent series on the incredibly excellent Toonami. Bring back TOM, SARA, and the Absolution so we can show kids some quality anime. Bring back those several hours of awesome. Building a better cartoon, hell yes!

@GetterRay Actually I found Zeta Gundam on YouTube as well as the original Mobile Suit Gundam. Watched the first episode of the latter and was instantly hooked, but I'm finishing up Zeta since I'd already found and started watching it then. Just wish ZZ Gundam was here.

@EvilCleric You will find that the original series and most of its sequels up to Char's Counterattack are very good. If not the best of the meta series. G Gundam wasn't bad it was rather good in a different way. Gundam 00 also brought a sense of real seriousness to Gundam that went soft and crap with SEED.

It's because it's not licensed in the states. Hence why on the DVDs of the series you don't have these songs as the opening but the music from the actual show being put there instead. A damn shame if I say so myself because the Zeta Gundam series has 2 of the best opening songs in not just Gundam but of all time (especially this one). Fits it well seeing as this is the best Gundam series hands down with the original being a close second, Victory being 3rd (criminally underrated)

Obviously you missed the whole point of how it's war and anyone no matter how big their role, they can be a causality of it. No Gundam series outside of UC is better than the original and Zeta. They capture what war is, what people go through during war whether be civilians or soldiers, and the politics of both sides.
