Just a question though. In Primary school I was very shy, and even now, I am still a bit hesitant in speaking up in lectures and tuts. - with your reference to shy children liking to speak in the microphone, is there any furthur scaffolding that allows for those shy students to gain self-confidence?

haha, this was so helpful. My uni lecturer for Curriculum Studies: Dance/Drama is very big on "Arts Education", she's very passionate and she said she's goes on about it like a "born again." As a pre-service teacher with a very musical background, but not much of the other arts I'm beginning to see how very useful it is, and I will share this on our interactive uni web site.
