OMG...I worked at Zbar at this time. There will never be another place like this again. It's a real bummer that these moments won't be captured again. I had so much fun that words can't describe the atmosphere. Between Zbar & the Garage I really wish it would come back just one more time.
@primo1032 Correct. Tracks. No Band. 2 or 3 dancers. I was there... witnessed it. It was also Tony's first year at the Zanz if I am not mistaken. But believe what and who you will.... Club Zanzibar is an experience hard to believe if not experienced... Anyway it was an "after-concert" performance. The "show" was at like 3 in the morning and everybody including her was wide awake and feeling good. Oh and I was like 15 or 16 then. True story. primo1032 you can probably feel me. Peace
WOW! I'm from Newark, i'm only 33 so the Zanz is a lil before my time but I heard alot about it I didn't know major acts came there to perform!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOW!
never saw or heard Chaka do this live in any form. I remember a photo still (she of course mouth open nailing a note as she carries an open umbrella. Nice skirt and blose, walking down any street USa in the rain) in People zine from the video shoot. But never saw the vid anywhere, go figure.
She has out grown singing to tracks. That is obvious from todays performance on The View singing SuperLife and edited version of I'm Every Woman, 6/16/11.
@Venu337 tracks... sorry.... few dancers with umbrellas as props other than that she was alone on the stage. show took place at about 3 am in Newark, NJ at Club Zanzibar... Tony Humphry was the engineer/DJ

I'm trying to figure out if she is singing to a track or if it was a band and track together.
