LOL I love the way the F-22 pair steals the show with their appearance.. don't get me wrong though.. I'm a big fan of the hog. Its slow, its ugly and it can get the job done 100%.

its been in service since 1975 and i dont see it being retired anytime soon. ive heard that it can lose up to 15 feet of its wingspan and still fly safely

you guys are kids and can't even spell, yet you pretend to know so much about war and aircraft. the truth is, the f-22 is the deadliest aircraft in the american arsenal to date....especially when used with the f-15 which has NEVER been beat in combat. the f-35 is JUST as deadly but will be produced in larger numbers due to its lower cost and slight advantages such as VTOL, etc. i just mentioned three aircraft, f-15, f-22, f-35...and with properly trained pilots nothing beats

you realy cant say that f-22 is more deadly then the a-10, they just have way to different roles. f-22= air superiority a-10= close air support.

and you know that there thinking of stoping production of the f-22 cus its way to expensive and the f-35 will most likely be more help to ground troops

@toniferous2000 F22 has been defeated, by a 20mm AA gun, and A10 and AC130 and F15E Strike Eagle are the 3 most deadly planes in the United States Air Force Arsenal, The F22 is a fighter, and not a Bomber/Attacker. If you want to argue, go ahead. I'm in the UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, unless you are a pilot, I don't wanna hear it.

They play the same music and have the same annoying play by play at every airshow I've attended.. The A-10 makes its own music and requires no words.

The A-10 sometimes flies over my hometown in germay. we have an USAF base near my town, where they throw training bombs an so on. Its nice to watch it.

But most time there are just eurofighters, phantoms, tornados and somteimes an F16.

Heh, I live near Luke AFB. And its an F-16 base and I see them all the time. On July 4th They did a Fly-By across the city.

I heard teh F35 won't be replacing the A10 because it would be too expensive, and because it isn't suited well for it. Maybe not true, but that's what I heard.

A-10 isn't going to be replaced until 2025. Don't worry. A-10 is still ready to destroys some tanks.

Yeah I know. but I don't like the idea of the F-35 being replace by 4 aircrafts it's like America would only have 2 good fighter jets now which will be the F-22 and F-35. But most of the time I am usually around the Pave Hawks and the C130 Hercules

Well plus the F-18 and the AV-8 plan to be replace by the F-35 in 2025 as well which sucks. The AV-8 was such a great aircraft.

Obama's a fucktwat that's why. He deems it to costly. How, I dunno? Maybe he should rethink his spending habits, less on bailouts and more on defense. After all, that would create vastly more jobs than a bailout would. Not to mention, the Russians within the year will have something comparable to the F-22.

Dude if math has nothing to do with anything then I would go for officer position and become a C-130 pilot but I like being a aircraft mechanic because it's a good job and plus without them you wouldn't be flying the jet
