ok wow you're fucking retarded. first off, you people are obviously too stupid to understand piranha 3d and if you saw yogi bear, it's actually good. I went into it expecting to hate it with a girlfriend who was mad at me for having her see it and we both enjoyed it. How can you review a movie without having seen it?
dinner for shmucks seemed like a love or hate movie. I thought it was hysterical, but that because the humor in the movie was so obscure, and thats what I like. My friend on the other hand said he found it incredibly boring.
You really have bad taste.. "Cop Out" is actually funny after the 2nd or 3rd time you watch it.. and "Splice" wasn't a horror film but a drama.. you probably only watched the trailer
"Piranha 3D" was a great movie.. even snobby critics liked it... I don't know what your problem was.. and "From Paris with love" was a really entertaining movie... surely it doesn't belong on a "worst of" list.
LEGION! God, that movie was terrible! It's pretty bad when a scene that is supposed to be mega creepy makes me laugh my ass off. (SPOILER!) You know the scene where the old lady is like "Your f***ing baby's gonna burn!"? Yeah, my cousin and I couldn't breathe because we were laughing so hard.

2010 was a horrible media year for me hated all movies everyone loved (inception,true grit) hated all games everyone loved (masseffect 2 sucks red ded redemption only ok). I'm honestly surprised that Legion wasn't in contention for a high (lower?) spot to number 1... but yeah Airbender was god-awful. I also think that the Airbender review is probably one of the best one's you guys put together this year.

1 - Cyrus: .......Fuck You to whoever made this. The biggest ever dissapointment for me, EVER!!! If you loved Superbad, Step Brothers and Get Him To The Greek like I did, then please don't make the same mistake as I did and watch this, it's just awful. I felt suicidal just watching it, until I figured out I could use the door and walk out of the screening.
2 - Paranormal Acitivity 2: For the first time in my life, I chose to pay the full £7.50 to watch a film at the cinema, & all I'm gonna say is that I want every motherfuckin penny back after watching this shit. This shit sucked so much it fucked, this shit fucked so much is started to suck M. Wright Shamalan( o
3 - Twighlight: Eclipse: I hate Twighlight in general, and saying that, I thought this was the worst one of all. Mainly the THING I hated the most about this was Bella, and yes I say thing, because to be human you have to have emotions and characteristics. But apart from being a complete boring bitch, Bella is nothing, just like this film.
5 - Edge of Darkness: Watching the trailer for this, I got the inpression that it was going to be a kick-ass Mel Gibson cop flick again, which I wanted. THE TRAiLER LIED!!! Instead all I got was 5 minutes of action, & around 2 hours of blah, blah, blah, which eventually made me Z,z,z. 4 - Iron Man 2: I hated this film mainly because Gwenneth Paltrow was such a pain in the arse, but also because the film was boring and laaaaame.
7 - A Warriors Way: I wish Americans would just stay away from these films, cos they never do em' right or do them any justice( with the exception of Kill Bill). Watching this was like watching Ninja Assassin or Blood: The Last Vampire, but probably not as bad. But it's still some fake, OTT, samurai wannabe film, with bad CGI. 6 - Jonah Hex: Megan Fox, enough said.
For me I'd have to say my worst top 10 of 2010 were: 10 - Skyline: A really stupid & farfetch'd film that pretty much just pissed me off by the end. 9 - Salt: Angelina Jolie, enough said. 8 - Tron: Legacy: Just goes to show that you don't just need good visual effects to make a good film, you also need a good story, good action & interesting characters, something this film doesn't have. As a lover of the show, I was really excited to see the movie, and as y'all said, the trailer does make you excited to see the movie... @schmoesknow hmm, the reason that airbender made money was because Shayamanlalan is very crafty with the trailers + there was a solid fanbase for the airbender cartoons. But most people who saw the first one share the feeling of "fool me twice, shame on me", so if the second movie does not have a new director + cast overhaul, it won't make as much money, and rightfully it shouldn't. Like Fantastic Four 2, it should just fade away...
@aragon131 it made a decent amount of money on opening weekend, enough so that it's not a "flop". Most people got tricked into seeing it because they are fans of the cartoon.

when you talked about how Last Airbender was the worst movie yet it made so much money, it reminded me of the movie Eragon... sucky movie yet it made over double its budget. not only was it on the years list of worst movies of 2006, but it was on the list for highest grossing.
I personally <3 Skyline. So did me and my friends. We thought it was intense... But I guess we are pretty young and as long as things blow up in an interesting way we'll be okay.

Yeah, watched few minutes of The Last Airbender and it was so bad that I just went "why am I watching this? Why the hell am I watching this? Meh... I thought Dinner for Shmucks was OK, but personally I just havn't really liked any of Steve Carell's work this year. Im probobly in the minority right now, but I absolutely DISPISED Dispicable Me. Ugh.
@schmoesknow Well to be honest I may have had my expectations a little TOO high for this one. I love animation but I found Despicable Me to be a bit over the top. I liked the minions, but the rest of the characters were annoying, there was almost NO character development beyond "Hey this guy is evil cause he's related to this dude", the dialouge wasn't to great either (plot was kind of creepy too if you look at it "Evil man adopts 3 little girls to do evil things" :P).
Im glad i have only seen a couple of those movies. Really funny video guys. And do you know what happened to M Night shamalamadingdong? He used to make such good films, now just good trailers :(

Those are great lists, and i agree 100% on the last airbender. Im a huge fan of the show, and had been following the movie ever since it was announced, even before it started filming. I had such high expectations for it, and no movie has ever disappointed me this much. I was soo angry afterwards cuz It wasnt even funny bad. I felt embarrassed just watching it. i really hope m night never works on a film again (i wanted to say die, but i guess thats a little harsh).
Anyways, was there a Twilight movie out this year? It should automatically make the #1 worst movie every time one is released. Sex and The City, I feel for any guy that was dragged to that.
@DeVstatrOmga Well I feel you know what you are getting when you go see a Twilight movie, it is exactly what you think it will be and it's demographic is usually satisfied as where something like Airbender which had an audience salivating for something watchable, he just angered them and sent away any potential fans with that shitbox.
I'm afraid I'm gonna have to agree with Ellis on Legion. It was badly made, but it had so many things going for it that I couldn't hate it. Agree with you on From Paris with Love, aswell ; it was entertaining, but undeniable trash. Pirahna 3D was a BIG disapointment for me! Major rip-off! (and I even took my 3D glasses from a previous showing into the cinema).
I am tempted to rent out The Last Airbender just to see how bad it is, but I'll probably regret it.

I'd have Cop Out as my worst of the year (and it pains me since I love all of Kevin Smith's other films), with The Last Airbender and Resident Evil: Afterlife right behind. And I actually enjoyed Piranha 3-D, but I can see why others didn't.

@aragon131 it made a decent amount of money on opening weekend, enough so that it's not a "flop". Most people got tricked into seeing it because they are fans of the cartoon.

The only bad movie I saw this year was Last Airbender, the only reason was I didn't see the warnings before seeing it. My biggest disappointment of the year was Iron Man 2.

when you talked about how Last Airbender was the worst movie yet it made so much money, it reminded me of the movie Eragon... sucky movie yet it made over double its budget. not only was it on the years list of worst movies of 2006, but it was on the list for highest grossing.

Yeah, watched few minutes of The Last Airbender and it was so bad that I just went "why am I watching this? Why the hell am I watching this? I saw the cartoon...why would I even feel compelled to watch this? This is already pure crap and boring as hell. No special effects are gonna fix this." and then I just clicked away from the movie. Buuut I'd still say anything with Ashton Kutcher is still probably worse for me. :P

@schmoesknow Well to be honest I may have had my expectations a little TOO high for this one. I love animation but I found Despicable Me to be a bit over the top. I liked the minions, but the rest of the characters were annoying, there was almost NO character development beyond "Hey this guy is evil cause he's related to this dude", the dialouge wasn't to great either (plot was kind of creepy too if you look at it "Evil man adopts 3 little girls to do evil things" :P).
MEGAMIND was way better.

Those are great lists, and i agree 100% on the last airbender. Im a huge fan of the show, and had been following the movie ever since it was announced, even before it started filming. I had such high expectations for it, and no movie has ever disappointed me this much. I was soo angry afterwards cuz It wasnt even funny bad. I felt embarrassed just watching it. i really hope m night never works on a film again (i wanted to say die, but i guess thats a little harsh).

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to agree with Ellis on Legion. It was badly made, but it had so many things going for it that I couldn't hate it. Agree with you on From Paris with Love, aswell ; it was entertaining, but undeniable trash. Pirahna 3D was a BIG disapointment for me! Major rip-off! (and I even took my 3D glasses from a previous showing into the cinema).
I am tempted to rent out The Last Airbender just to see how bad it is, but I'll probably regret it.
