That was Marion Cotillard, yes. Without spoiling things too much, she is likely to be the true villain of the film, according to various reports -- Bane and Catwoman are merely the red-herrings.

Nolan only featured Cotillard in one quick shot for a reason...it's going to be a shocker when folks watch the actual movie and find out what's *really* going on with the villains' true agenda, and who Cotillard turns out to be (hint: she's related to someone in BATMAN BEGINS).

Most fans already suspect her to be daughter of Ra's. She's in Wayne Enterprises for one reason and that's to destroy Bruce in the pretext of helping him. I am just wondering about Bruce. If you pause at 00:42 during the party scene, you could see that he was limping a little with his right hand seem to be holding onto a cane? Look again. Bruce is kidnapped and imprisoned by Bane, and let's not forget about the Lazarus Pit. Did a broken Batman seeked restoration of health there?

You're correct -- there's that recent revelation that Bruce gets black-bagged by Bane's men, and then evidently sent to that underground prison for some length of time. Very curious to learn how this all ties into his cane-usage, etc.

(Also, again, I love how Nolan is basically completely underplaying Cotillard's role in the whole movie via the trailers -- can't wait to finally see her revealed as Talia.)

remember in BB, Bruce wayne made reference to two faced friends? So this scene is a reminiscent of the bruce wayne party scene, where she's masquerading as a two faced friend..I just like how Nolan visually crafts his films to remind us of the previous events. And it will very much be like the first movie, where crane and the rest are pawns, the real villain is ra's in disguise as henry. same here, i get the same feeling bane's not the main villain..

Nolan seems very confident this is the best of the trilogy and he's the best director around at combining intelligent plotting and breathtaking visuals with a fantasy storyline. Batmans rogues gallery is so fucking vast that you can find something brilliant in every villian. Bane is gonna be great and people need to stop being so narrow minded. I dunno. I'm not too impressed. Nothing about this seems nearly as good as I imagined or hoped it would be. Choice in villains, their portrayals, and some of the scenes (like the football one, which is just silly) have always seemed extremely questionable imo, and still do. BB and TDK were great, I don't know what went wrong. To be fair though, only time will tell. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised, but based on this trailer and the prologue I definitely expected so much more.
