  • Thanks for sharing the video. I recommend securing the DVR units somewhere safe or at least hidden so if your home is broken into the prowler can't simply grab your DVR and the video evidence is long gone. I do appreciate your practice of redundancy.

  • Nice setup. Instead of using all fixed cameras why not use a couple of PTZ cams as well so if someone grabs your attention you can zoom in and follow them.

  • @robbie0195 those cameras are more expensive and require more wiring but If you have the cash go for it. thanks

  • You did a good job there, I know because I used to install video surveillance cameras for a living. BTW....not sure if you know this or not....you can mount to metal beams using a "beam clamp" (of which there are many types) and they can be found at electrical supply houses. Thanks for sharing and Take Care :-))

  • @SurviveN2 good to know thanks

  • Thanks city for ideas on apartment and urban surveillance!

  • Based on your previous vid of the Zmodo system, I bought an 8ch setup for my business. Still in the middle of getting it all installed between the usual day-to-day operations of the shop. So far I am pleased with the system, especially for the price. My only complaint is that they sent a power adapter for just 1 camera, so that's pretty lame. I have to order more power adapters just to get the system function. Other than that, it does exactly what I need it to do at a good price. Thx 4 the vids!

  • @srvblues00 Awesome! congratz

  • a lot of preppers like over kill. in some cases i think it will pay off if barter ststem is needed. thanks

  • very nice....

  • This has been on my to-do list since your first video on the subject!

  • Man you got it covered!

  • Ya buddy, mine is a 8 ct. and i love it, i can see someone comming on my property and all around the house. good vid. thanks

  • Have you thought about installing cameras inside the house? If someone would break in to your house, you could perhaps retreat to your surveillance room and identify where the threat is and then be able to act better. Or have you just relied on being able to stop any threat before entering your house?

  • @FredrikLundstrom I have a small house, and only one entrance to the upper level...the "kill" zone... : ) but everyone's home is different.

  • I can see it now... you are gonna be doing a series on building a safe room to setup your command center in with all that surveillance stuff. nice system.

  • @HillbillysNdaBush lol can you say sandbags and gun positions, that's not overkill...
