okay, so I pretty much get how to use the clone tool - except at around 2:22, where you keep the source in one place. Even after I un-check the Align box, it still follows me around. Could you help?

It will follow you around until you release the mouse button or lift your pen.

Try that - it should work fine.

wow this is really cool thanks but there is one thing i dont understand layers every time i go try i dont know what it does .....please help

I was there at one point as well. Layers can be very intimidating at first.

Think of a layer as a clear piece of something (plastic) on top of your picture and you can do things on the piece of plastic (layer) without damaging the original.

The best way to lean to use layers is to use them. Just choose a picture, add a new layer, check Use All Layers and clone like a fiend.
