Megaupload was a great file sharing site, and with Megavideo you didn't even have to download the movies, so it was really one of the best sharing sites out there, and I think many people here would agree with me on that.
@Jennalele try checking The Pirate Bay, I know torrents are risky to use, but they have decent downloads there, I was actually in the middle of Underworld II on MegaUpload when the site was shut down, so I started using Pirate Bay immediately. Now though the EU have started with ACTA, so maybe in a couple of years we might not have TPB either (the good thing about torrents are that they are almost impossible to shut down)

@mkehandgrenades I know there are plenty of sites, I've started using torrents now that MegaUpload is gone, but torrents always have a risk of getting you viruses since you not only download the files but also let the torrent use your computer as a server for that file. MegaUpload was a great site and it had serious ways of filtering the uploads from viruses, not like most of the sites where anyone can upload and download what they want and the only money that site earn is adds.
@FjrWizard yeah i suppose i wouldn't know. i use a mac so i dont get viruses. and movies well... i usually dont download them i just rip em if i like em after i rented em at redbox or borrowed em theres plenty of free programs for that. if you use a torrent and dont want to be a host just delete the torrent and keep the file. you know what would be a good idea though is if they made all movies that came out on vhs legal to download for free. its not like they are making profits off them.

ACTA is a European bill which is on the verge of becoming global. It'll affect any country which signs the treaty. @mkehandgrenades I know there are plenty of sites, I've started using torrents now that MegaUpload is gone, but torrents always have a risk of getting you viruses since you not only download the files but also let the torrent use your computer as a server for that file. MegaUpload was a great site and it had serious ways of filtering the uploads from viruses, not like most of the sites where anyone can upload and download what they want and the only money that site earn is adds.

@FjrWizard yeah i suppose i wouldn't know. i use a mac so i dont get viruses. and movies well... i usually dont download them i just rip em if i like em after i rented em at redbox or borrowed em theres plenty of free programs for that. if you use a torrent and dont want to be a host just delete the torrent and keep the file. you know what would be a good idea though is if they made all movies that came out on vhs legal to download for free. its not like they are making profits off them.

um... who still buys vhs? it makes sense to just make them available to everyone. even without SOPA they can still build individual lawsuits against people that share copyrighted media. and they do every once in a while to try to deter it but nobody cares and people still always find ways around it another site will spring up and fuck it. thats the way it works currently.

Yeah and Ron Paul also believes in no market regulation. That means businesses and multinational corporations are free to highjack the government and to get us in the same economic mess we've been in.
He also wants to give tax breaks to the richest 1% while taxing the majority, the struggling middle class. Should these wealthy hogs be rewarded after screwing up and "legally" stealing money? Does that sound like capitalism to you? The people need protection from the free market economy too.

Nice video man, we did well. However, now we must stop ACTA. This is basically the same as the SOPA bill except it acts out far more aggressively. ACTA is a European bill which is on the verge of becoming global. It'll affect any country which signs the treaty. ACTA won't simply affect websites and have them blocked out of the internet - It'll go as far as having surveillance of anything you share publicly or privately. ACTA will affect trading online and even tourism. Spread the word fast.

Its not just the religious, but also some who have taken secular humanism to an extreme & have tried to bann any right to counter expression including someone who wants to pray on their own time in a school, or telling someone they cant say the pledge of allegiance. I have not heard about any law prohibiting pro gay shirts but I would not support that law either. The Dollywood incident was not exclusive to gays. They have on record also asked straights to change or cover up. It's a family venue.

@SuperJonesable Yes, obviously. My point is only that you arbitrarily seem to put nudity in a category all it's own, as if it is worse than any other offensive thing you might want to put on a shirt. I suppose it is all relative to the tastefulness of the nudity, but I fail to se how nudity in general is worse than say, a severed head or offensive speech.

@SuperJonesable we didnt stop sopa, we only delayed it , it will be back and there is still pipa, and there is still acta, and sopa already has been rewritten to another bill called OPEN, and sopa is still not even dead, and the government still gave us a big middle finger and busted up megaupload anyways, 12 sites atleast have also shut down or blocked US traffic as a result in the days following, this is going to have a chilling effect on the internet and the economy

SOPA 'died' but the day after they still did what they wanted. They took down MEGAUPLOAD and proved they can do w/e they want without our permission.
If I was China I'd be pissed and cut ties with the states. I think they are going to with their signing deals with Russia and such. Good for them.

If I had a 6 year old son, I wouldn't want like big life like detailed shirts of blow jobs or ppl with their head cut off.
Maybe you're right and we should all be allowed to have w/e we want, but I think even in a perfect world extreme pics would be banned or at least frowned upon.

@shabido1 Yeah I would agree, but it all depends on what you see as being offensive. Say a detailed image of a blowjob on a shirt is to us to some an image of a cross may be just as offensive.
But yes I agree with what you are saying, I wouldn't want that either... However anything in text is fine with me. Just because we don't talk about it doesn't make it any less of a reality.
