  • Just proves that the Windows Phone guy know the Menus & Buttons on his phone ... Not a fair test at all ...

  • @john4short Goes to show you don't know very much about windows phone

  • @2Xensemble Goes to show you don't the history of Microsoft :) ... It shows that you haven't used any of the others in the market ... :)

  • Haha i competed against the video with my defy and won :)..Wherez my $100? :/

  • All Biggest And Baddest phones are smoked by Windows phone

  • imagine this year when windows phone 8 comes out with multi-core support and what not. They'll probably need a much harsher word than smoked.

  • Did you notice what they did lol smart. Microsoft employees are geniuses lol

  • new phone out of the box vs phone that's been running months on end, filling up with fragmented data and cache files

    hmmmmmm

  • @chronDiggity My Windows Phone now a year old still runs at the same speed as it did when it came out of the box. I also have almost 200 Apps and games on it so its data is practically full.

  • @thousandfootkrutchro

so you didn't update to mango?

  • @chronDiggity Of course I did. Speed went up a little bit but my phone has not slowed down since I got it. I am using the HTC Arrive if you were wondering. My phone zips past a lot of my friends phones when finding information. It is really nice when you're downtown and need directions quickly.

  • They do these tests on a wifi hotspot.

  • The leak, reported by blog Pocketnow and validated by Windows insider Paul Thurrott, shows that Apollo (the codename for Windows Phone 8) will be a major improvement over the current iteration, Windows Phone 7.5, otherwise known as Mango.

  • Put this as an ad on tv!

  • Id like to know 2 things: 1. Was he using a wifi spot compared to the competitors as lag would have been created by the network provider and given any phone an advantage using wifi 2. I would like to see an iPhone, android or whatever user with knowledge of all the shortcuts like the windows rep does as some competitors clearly know the true functionally of their phone With these 2 factors then I'd like to see the real challenge

  • @dimmers22

I believe they are both connected to the same WiFi network.

  • @dimmers22

I think you're missing the point. Regardless if you had, as you stated knowledgeable users(which I think all should've been, being CES), Ben was trying to let people, know it's not shortcuts or apps, like other OS, has to use to find out info or complete a task. Almost everything is integrated in the WP7 OS itself, cutting down the time it takes for any task.

  • Microsoft if desperate, and its business of trying to prove all other platforms suck compared to wp7 is not professional in my opinion..

Apart from that, my android got 1 sec faster, unfortunately it is not stock firmware so I couldn't compete!

  • should have said carrier issues and megabyte of the picture

  • more like windows douchebag phone 7

  • whats funny is that his phone is lte... and yet wp7 still almost won

  • @penguins7383 his wp7 was also on an LTE network, fyi

  • @dansen926 then go take it via WiFi on the same network

  • It was indeed very close, but despite my lack of practice posting directly to twitter, I still pulled it off! W00t!

  • Shirt from shirt.woot

    Woot!

  • @dpwellman I love my shirt! It was fun doing the challenge, and Ben is a nice guy.

  • have windows phone and android I love android cant switch to windows phone

  • Samsuck galaxy nexus

  • @spikeman23 hey, i won :P

  • Comment removed

  • That was 0.0000000000001% of a billionth of a penny for m$

have a LG quantum since launch

    need that titan 2 lul

  • the titan has a higher quality camera.....

  • @coleeto2 Still, it's a camera from HTC...so it can't even compare to a VGA camera of Samsung...

  • I think it's better to lose to get a free phone than to win 100$, i guess it's the whole PR thing where people opt to lose publicly to get a phone.

  • @eyfhsdksd hmmm i dont think its pathetic..... MS is just trying to prove how better windows phone is compared to ios and android, so if you lose this lil contest they give you a free windows phone. ....how the hell is that pathetic i would be freaking happy ;-) also FYI i own a windows phone 7 its freaking amazing

  • They don't know how to sell Windows Phones..so they give them away.. Pathetic!

  • Gotta love zero shutter lag on that Nexus

  • YAY! Glad that the Galaxy Nexus won! But I'm really impressed by Windows Phone! =D

May consider getting one when Windows Phone Apollo comes out!

  • Dudes the only thing that windows phone or a phone in the windows phone range lacks is a zero shutter lag so that is why galaxy nexus won

  • they even dedicate a full video to fail, I want a WP7 now!!

  • Thank you much!

  • That poor misguided man... he missed out on a free windows phone. shame.

  • In the Blue Screen of Death competitions, Windows is the undisputed victor once again. I got smoked by a windows phone! =)

  • Dual core phone Vs single core phone in my book this is still a win for Windows Phone ;)

  • The duel core android took the photo 10x faster than the windows phone. That will change once windows phones get duel cores with apolo.

  • that guy looked proper nerd... no wonder he won.

  • Epic android FAIL!

  • haha... nice!

  • lol i loose with my windows phone too

  • hahahaha it's ok guys you can just walk through

  • I want a windows phone

  • Lol it wasnt so much the android is that beat it... It was Verizon that pwned whatever he was using on his windows phone because he hit post before the Verizon guy did... ---- = Android fanboys shut down.

  • Someone should do the weather challenge and pin 2 location with widgets to the homescreen...

  • @bluefisch200 : ok you can pin 2 locations , can you pin a word document , a powerpoint document , a contact , a video , a submenu in an other application , all by keeping animations running like Windows Phone does ??!!

  • @DaoudiAymen i can create shortcuts to documents, contact and videos, and with Android 4.0 it's super smooth and well animated...

  • integrate WP7 with Outlook 2010 and I will buy a WP!

  • at least android did it...by just a hair...iPhone not so much..

  • @JohnSmithisnotme iPhone also won the twitter competition...

  • 1:11 ben the pc guy was like ":|"

  • All hail nexus

  • nono, should have taken a picture before uploading to twitter

  • where can i get that hoodie ???

  • "your a google plus guy ,im not so much " lol

  • anyone try windows phone vs windows phone

  • @cris178Zune you cant cross the streams

  • @cris178Zune it was a tie...

  • @cris178Zune i just did :) lol, wired we tied...

  • Anyone else tried to do the windows phone $100 challenge while watching this video? haha

    I lost by the way..

  • @ZR1Terror, thanks for the info! I'm looking forward to it!

  • Good stuff Microsoft..he probably only lost cuz of LTE so technically not Windows Phone's fault.

  • @xxthunderbird46xx They're on the same WiFi network.

  • Great advertisement from Microsoft, pretty much showing that you don't really need the high tech and latest and greatest hardware to do everyday tasks at great speeds.

  • @tangoalphawhiskey keep in mind that the there are not many apps yet. But the OS is great. There is still a little work they have to do on it but I'm still happy with it, coming from an iPhone user. WP7 feels so light there is no lag at all like i had on my iPhones. You won't regret it.

  • The pc guy should use the Nokia Lumia 900 with LTE

  • lte beats regular.. wp7 kdr is 12:2

  • @lidermin , don't forget about the Lumia 900, haha.

  • yeah Galaxy Nexus on LTE, did you hear that Microsoft?: "LTE" (yeah, I know about the Titan II)

  • @lidermin Then why say it?

  • @ELxVATOxVATO Windows Phones could use sone instant focus.

  • I'm switching from an iPhone and I've decided WP7 is the way to go!!

  • I ♥ Windows Phone !

  • Whats the name of the song at the end of this video?
