  • Florida, support obama over mccain!!!

  • shup up? it is really funny how somepople hate to hear the true, and they relay on insults to try to win the argument, there is the true senator obama is just another politician, a very smart but negative politician, he use anything to his favor he desqualify his competition for his sit on the senate even before the election, to much for a democratic hero?

  • They did the best that they could to keep the peace.

I personally would never have allowed for any of it.

Clinton made out better than Obama on this fiasco.

    MORONS!

  • 이명박 이자식 지금 즉시 청와대에서 나오면 살고

    안나오면 처형 !!!!

  • i support the agreement the DNC committee reached. Obama deserved the delegates he earned from Michigan. Even though his name wasn't on the Ballot, I don't think that anyone is stupid enough to think that he wouldn't have gotten something out of that state. Everyone knows that he would have gotten way more votes if he actually ran in the state. For Hillary supporters to start crying about the decision now is just whining. Saying that he should have gotten ZERO is Really stupid in my opinion.

  • he will probaly get something significant from michigan if he wouldnt withdraw from the ballot but to give him half of vote? votes that may have been for edwards, richarson, gravel etc and what was that about taking 4 delegates from her? i think she should have get her delegates and neither count the votes and give the delegates to the actual candidates they were mean to, or leave them as uncomitment until they deside who to support, it make more sense that simple go against the primary outcome

  • Even if Obama gave her those 4 delegates back, she would still be nearly 200 delegates behind. It still don't make sense for her supporters to be upset about it. In fact, even if she took 100% of the delegates, she would have still come out short.

  • what angers supporters of senator clinton is not the fact she lost but how she lost, the injustices that were made. not because somebody lost anyway is ok to made injustices.

also she lost for 170 i think if she have got the florida delegates with full vote and her share of michigan that will drive her really close, dont forget there have been candidates that take their case to the convention with more diference for example senator ted kennedy who take his case on the 76 campaing with 700 less

  • So the delegates of Florida and Michigan get 1/2 a vote. Perhaps now I can better understand why in the past, Blacks were considered only a half person. As Democrats, we should be ashamed of this so called solution.

  • They should of let clinton get ALL the michigan delegates.

You know why? So that she can finally stfu.

But oh the irony because even if she did get all of michigan delegates she would STILL BE BEHIND obama in pledged delegates.

wow she really is more electable!

  • I have given a lot of money to DNC over the past 12 years... now it ends! Until Howard Dean is tarred and feathered and thrown out! We wont. I will support McCain if Obama is the nominee

  • You are selfish to say that. Do you care about the way the country is being run? Why would McCain be a better prez than Obama?

You are a sore loser and you care more about your own opinion and the fate of Hillary than the fate of the nation.

  • McCain at least has shown me a belief and practice in democracy. Obama is now the Democrat Party dictator. Obama is like GW Bush, and prefers being my annointed leader. This is political affirmative action. This is very sexist and a play of the racist card. "Support my desires or I will call you a racist!" "HOPE!"

  • let me add this is tipical senator obama political behavior, did anyone knew how did he won his sit on senate? he did by getting his competition out of the ballot even before of the elections by sending a team of lawyers to cast out most of the inscription signatures of his competition , very very democratic procedure right?

  • Get over this "democracy" thing. It's POLITICS people! Hillary didn't stick up for the states in the beginning, did she? Are you all willing to overlook that? Guess so.

  • why? because is something call democracy and there is no place on democracy for censored states, all should count all have to count, the democrat party better start forgeting about a victory on michigan and my beloved state of florida, we dont gonna forget this.

  • You can taste the affirmative action!

  • jason, I agree with Chissykim, not on a legal basis, but on the basis of consistent principles. I would think democracy is more than a legality, but a principle to follow. Obama fears democracy. REMEMBER - Clinton previously offered to pay for the primaries. This is virtually the same end run of the 2000 election where GW and the Supremes avoided a vote count and subverted democracy.

  • How much debt Hillary is in? What makes you think she was going to actually pay for it. I find it funny she wasn't fighting this hard for MIchigan and Florida votes 2 months ago.

  • this will split the party. mccain's got a shot.

  • Delegates get "half-votes"?

Is this the same Democratic party that just a short time ago was screaming at the top of its lungs that "EVERY vote had to be counted" - or an election was illegitimate?

Well, I guess George Orwell was right... "some pigs ARE more equal than others".

This is a sad day for democracy in the U.S.A.

  • that's ridiculous.

first, it's a party primary, not a constitutionally prescribed election.

second, all candidates agreed, sign-up for and supported the rules, including hilary when she thought it would help her, to prevent the primary process from becoming a sham

third, all this fake indignation on behalf of democracy is nothing more than a desperate, selfish attempt to get what she wants no matter how dishonest or who it hurts.

it makes you wonder if her supports are dishonest or dumb.

  • chissy, I think your comments are spot on.

And as far as what jason said - who cares if Hillary has bad/selfish motives in this affair. I seriously doubt that Obama's motives are any better. But this is not the point.

The point is that every vote needs to be counted and treated equally. This is the core principle of democracy.

How dare the Democrat party "half" the votes of millions of citizens!!!

  • The states broke the rules. They lost half of the votes when they should have lost them all. Why should any votes from a flawed primary be counted?

  • One reason is because the Republicans engineered the Florida fiasco. That's a horrible precedent to permit the opposing ruling party of a major state to control your party's destiny. A second reason is when state party bosses mess up, then the result should not be to punish the people who want to vote. Instead, punish the bosses and find a remedy needs to be made for voters. Six pack Joe didn't decide when the primary was to be held. Count Joe's vote!

  • HK83IE - I completely agree.

Average voters in FL had no say in this party-engineered fiasco. Their votes should be counted. If anyone should be punished, it should be the party bosses - not the voters.

And again, I find it absolutely amazing that the self-proclaimed "Count Every Vote" party is willing to "half" the votes of millions of Americans.

The hyprocrisy of the Democrat Party stinks to high heaven.

  • why? because is something call democracy and there is no place on democracy for censored states, all should count all have to count, the democrat party better start forgeting about a victory on michigan and my beloved state of florida, we dont gonna forget this

  • That Obama he dredges the bottom of the dirties rivers in AmeriKa. He hangs, hugs and kisses with facists like Wright and Farrakhan at church. I pray for him, really I do. I pray that soon he can see the light of the love of the lord. I pray for the redemption of Obama that he may see and learn all men are CREATED equal. I pray that learn to love Michigan and Florida & treat all with respect whether they are white, woman or of any state. I pray he can find a church of love and not hate.

  • Shut up you ignorant fool.

  • My feelings exactly GC... how dare they?

  • Delegates get "half-votes"?

Is this the same Democratic party that just a short time ago was screaming at the top of its lungs that "EVERY vote had to be counted" - or an election was illegitimate?

Well, I guess George Orwell was right... "some pigs ARE more equal than others".

This is a sad day for democracy in the U.S.A.

  • Watched this all day on CNN and was luvin' it! The Hillary supporters were in desparation mode! They all kept saying the voters are the most important but it was sooo clear that they only 'care' for voters now that she needs the delegates. It's over!

  • YEAH!!! Her supporters are so rude it's disgusting.

  • BOO!!! And his church, PASTORS, and other supporters are so magnanimous and civil?I don't think there is much as disgusting than the place Obama worshiped his God, married his wife, and Christianed his chillin over the past 20 yrs or so.

  • Also what I said was that she had PREVIOUSLY organized and had the money raised to run a new primary from her donors. I don't know if that offer is still on the table. What we do know is that Obama rejected that appeal to his democratic sensibilities. Obama is afeared of democracy. He is scared to run in Michigan or Florida. He is like a little scared girl cowering under his covers at night. Please Momma don't let that big bad Primary bite me! U can hear him crying wailing " Woo woo woo woo!"

  • shocked!

  • So people are mad just because this didn't result in Hillary completely overtaking Obama ending in her winning the nomination? You pathetic Hillary supporters get what you want or cry and say you'll vote for McCain. What are you a bunch of 2 year olds?

  • I don't support Hillary, but I do support democracy's principles. Cowardly, Obama has spearheaded this end run around democracy. I will have to move to vote for McCain. I believe that he would at least support the democratic system.

  • Oh my God this is bad..why couldn't they and lest make it 75 percent for crying out loud, or restore the votes, what would have been so bad about that. I mean Hillary wouldn't have won with those two restored she would have needed some more states but hot dang people are going to be mad as hell know.

  • I thought "every vote counts"?

  • The problem is that rules are rules, laws are laws. I don't like the idea of people who don't give a damn about florida or michigan in january but in April people become hypocrites. You make mistakes and then you think you can get out of jail free? It's unethical.
