I am choreographing a lyrical duet with for a school project. I am hoping to make it as inspiring and amazing as this piece. It is very beautiful! I was wondering if you have any tips on how to choreograph an emotional lyrical piece.
@jellyfishxDD143 here is the story: the girls were best friends when one of them died (meri). The one living (cassidy) cannot accept that Meri is gone. The memory of her is so strong that she comes back alive in Cassidy's eyes. Meri tries to make her see that life will go on and that she is stronger than she believes. Cassidy finally accepts it and Meri is layed back to rest. That's basically it.
@18xxmee i think its really just supposed to represent how the friendship will always be alive no matter what. Like she throws the black flower down at the end saying 'i'm not going back to how I was,' and the pink flower is just kind of like saying 'you're still alive in my heart.'
Thank you you brightened my day !!! I enjoyed it ! I use to ballet when I was little and the teachers were strict ..... They were posing us and I was like right there doing my pose and my legs got all wobbly from doing that pose for like ten minutes and then I fell and tortured me by hitting my legs with a stick to get them to be less wobbly and soft ???? It was a bad experience but I think yours is so good it burns ??? O.O LOLS no I'm kidding it was very very very very ...... Elegant and so so
@starberriezz lol, my ballet teacher smacks our stomachs to make sure we are sucking them in. One of my other teachers made all of the students force their turnouts WAY TOO FAR (which is really bad!) She told us that her teacher used to do some pretty horrid stuff to "help them dance"... ahhh, the joys of ballet :)
Im not exatcly familiar with this kind of dance( I do latin), but I loved it... Sometimes I felt that it lacks fluidity (at some places) but I really cannot say if it was a part of the choreography or the result of you being kinda young:)
Some of the moves were beautiful and the whole experience was! Well done!
This almost made me cry <3

Good choreography, but the moves seemed stiff to them. Props can sometimes hold dancers back rather than add to the piece.

For me it was a little slow. Not much elevation. At all.
