@nelsonben64, you are completely correct. Look at this, it makes me so happy to see Nigerian progress, I am crying here in America. Olorun, ose to je ki ilu mi se rere loju mi. Mo ma dupe lowe e. ese. ese, ese.
Filling the sea with sand, is not a really bright idea, when it as been observed and proved that the sea level is growing constantly. It will be only a matter of time and the city will sink under water. These are the beautiful speculations that foreign investors make in Africa for their own pockets.Where are these investors from?Israel by any chance?Nigeria should invest in agriculture that is the key to Africa's wealth and this would take pressure out from the cities and develop the rural areas.
@makizee1 As a matter of fact it has been done even before: take a look at Venice in my country Italy. All of these sites that you mentioned, including this last one I mentioned, are all at risk of flooding. If man made mistakes in the past,it doesn't mean that we shouldn't learn from the past. If I am not wrong, the site of Bar Beach in Lagos about 10 years ago, was severely damaged in a flooding. All the area of Lekki Beach is loosing land to the sea by the year.
@MrJahshaka ...which is exactly why we have to do something before the sea eats up all of our land, that is why there is the machinery to combat all of the issues raised here, its simply taking back what the ocean has taken from us over the years, how is that a bad thing
I dont want to oversell the guy. But Fashola is a good governor, he actually goes to see what work has been done on the ground. Fashola, you will go down history as one of the better if not greatest governors in Nigeria. : )
