@RubberWilbur Filmed at a summer camp I went to for 13 years. Camp White Pine. I believe a lot of the extras were just what you said - wealthier Canadian kids.

Have you noticed that the people in this movie are not as attractive as most other movies? I'm sure it has to do with it being a Canadian production and not LA. This is fine because people look more like this, normal, than some kind of glamor show.

I love Bill Murray impersonating "Jerry Eldini" as the snob camp's director to the TV newsman. He's so smooth & spontaneous. And then Spaz & Larry under the girl's cabin is good, too. But many great scenes in this.

I first saw this movie at summer camp back in 1987 I think... I have watched it every single summer since, out of tradition... so roughly 20-25 times. Love it. My dad and I even try to do the "oh really" burp phrase whenever we get together at the cottage, to this day - and now he's in his 60's and I'm 34. Great memories. It just doesn't matter.

I found this movie on an old VHS tape not long ago. I hadn't seen it in 20 years. I popped in in the VCR to see if it still played, and my kids sat down to watch. They ended up laughing their butts off. Now they want to watch it every day.
