  • Hm... Want to make my costumes by myself too.

Sorry for my english. I am from Germany

  • was that foam that you used fr the keyblades? and if so what kind??...im trying to make a pumpkin head but i just cant figure out how to do it without wood

  • @ HyperVisionPro Can you make me a Sora cosplay? I will send you my address in a message. Lol. If you will make it for me. I just thought I'd ask because your cosplays are so great! I love them!

  • All the keyblades look like wood in the end of the video.. How did you do that!? :O

  • We really need to do this mroe oftern. Its so fun watching it over again! I forget how much work we actually put into those cosplays!

  • @Hypervisonpro

Ok, so no lquid eyeliner, dark eyeshadow, ect.,? sorry for taking up ur time!!

Also, I found out tht we have a seeing machine, bt no1 knows how 2 use it. We where thinking ant getting it made by a tailor, and c if it's cheaper to get it made or mailed. Any advice on what I should do?

  • @Hypervisionpro

It helps a ton!!! I think I know the type your talking about, so even better!! And by the make up for kiari, do u mean like blush, mascara, ect.,?

  • @SakuraHaruno8789

Yeah, just your basic girl makeup. You'll want to wear foundation and concealer to cover up any blemishes, and then from there you can add anything that you think looks good - eyeliner, mascara, blush, etc. You just have to remember that you're trying to resemble a certain character, so you don't want to go overboard. For example, Kairi wouldn't wear thick black eyeliner, so someone cosplaying her should also not wear thick black eyeliner.

  • Um, I was wondering if u cud answer some questions I had.

Wht type of fabric did u use for Kiari's costume? And wht do u suggest u use to sew the fabric together if u don't know how to sew yourself?

Also, did you use make-up for any of the cosplays? Thankx for the vid, I am truely happy to be able to cosplay now!

  • @SakuraHaruno8789 If I recall Kairi's dress was made out of a thicker material that looks like it's a jean material, but is really quite soft and stretchy. I'm sorry, I don't remember the actual name of it. Also, if you don't know how to sew, I would suggest either getting help from friends/family that do know how to work a sewing machine, or maybe take some lessons or classes at school.

When we go to cons, we always wear makeup that is appropriate for our characters. Hope this helps. C:

  • im sorry to ask but how did you put kairi's dress together..i'v been working at her's for like 6 months now..and i suck at sewing xD please help :D <3

  • @kingdomki419 If you send a message to snowwings23, she may be able to help you. She's our Kairi, so she's the one that made the dress. :3

  • what was used to make keyblades

  • The handles on Kairi and Sora's keyblades are made of insulation foam, as well the kingdom key's teeth. Kairi's keyblade teeth are made out of good old cardboard and silk flowers. The staff part of the blades are made out of wooden dowels. Riku's blade is made almost entirely of foam, with a bit of wood in the handle to reinforce it.

  • @HyperVisionPro kk ty

  • awesome cosplay!!

  • :) Totally Awesome!

  • well do you think you could try to make a pattern for the shoes please

  • hey im wanting to be sora and i was wondering if you could send the the pattern for the pands pockets and and shoes please talk back

  • For the pants we just used a pattern for really, really massive sweatpants, cut them short, and put elastic in the cuffs. For the pockets, we just cut a rectangle out of paper and used that. And the shoes were actually completely improvised, so we didn't use a pattern or anything. Hope this helps. (:

  • a cosplayers best friend.....the hardware store. probably looks weird to see hooow many girls in skirts in one, but, came in very hanady when making a scyth.

  • This was so uber ewsome! I should do this with my friends! HEy what machines did you guys use?

  • To cut out the stuff for the keyblades, we used a bandsaw. Besides that, we just used basic sewing machines, as well as a button machine for the silver snaps.

  • What bramd of sewing machine?

  • We used a whole variety, 4 in total, I think? And they were all different. And old. Mine's a Pfaff, but any sewing machine should be able to do the job. (:

  • you guys did a beautiful job and fun doing it [which is the main point right? XD]

Hope you don't mind me asking but did you use wood, plywood, foam or something else to your keyblades? They all look wonderful :)

  • Thanks. ^^ The handles on Kairi and Sora's keyblades are made of insulation foam, as well the kingdom key's teeth. Kairi's keyblade teeth are made out of good old cardboard and silk flowers. The staffs of the blades are made out of wooden dowels. Riku's blade is made almost entirely of foam, with a bit of wood to reinforce it.

  • First of all thank you for responding ^_^ It's not often I get an answer to one of my questions. :D

I don't know much structural supplies so I hope I don't sound clueless asking but, how sturdy is insulation foam? I can see one of you sanding riku's keyblade, did you have to be gentle so it wouldn't break?

wow! There's wood on riku's keyblade?where? It blends together to well! :D

p.s. Sora's shoes look like the were stressful to make XD they look awesome.

    P.S.S. THAT DOG IS ADORABLE!

  • They are breakable and if you were to make a Keyblade out of it then you should definatly be careful with it. But the foamboard is actually quite sturdy and hard so you wouldn't have to be super careful with it. The wood on Riku's keyblade is in the handle, its just a wooden dowel stuck into the blade to act as the actual handle.

  • So I'd have to be careful with it but it's sturdy enough to sand? Perfect! I'm definitely going to look into buying some insulation foam now. Thank you for the help :D

  • awesome video! the swords look great, can't wait to see the finished cosplays! 8D

  • That was funny! Looked like you had lots of fun! Was I hard? It wasn't that hard for me when I made my keyblade it was pretty simple though. I went to Home Depot with my dad and I played with the wood by swinging it around. People kept staring at me like i was crazy. :[

  • wow you guys worked really hard on your cosplays and it totally payed off

  • Very nice cosplays! <3

Hhow long did it take you to finish 'em?

  • We worked on these for about 2 weeks straight. Each day we spent about 8 hours on them. That's for all three of them and only two sewers. Keyblades are included in that too.

  • Wow.. You are dedicated to this. <3

I feel slow now..! I've been working on and off of my cosplay. I'm now on my second (third?) month of working on it. T_T

  • awesome!!

  • what did you use for the keyblades??

  • We used 2-inch insulation foam boards (the pink and blue ones). Just drew the design on and then cut them out with a band saw. Riku's is make entirely out of it. The handles and length of the keyblades is made from a wooden dowel. Then, LOTS of sanding^^

  • thank you^^

  • Love it!! I'm really jealous that you guys can sew... I need to take classes or something, cause no one here knows how to lol!! Can't wait to see the cosplays finished!!! ^-^

  • XD omg thats so awesome! Loved the bubble effect that popped out of no where. We are just way too cool for school. :D

  • that is awesome!!

you guys are doing an AMAZING job on your cosplays!!
