I have the same problem! A lot of people are noticing it in the new macbooks though, i have an older one like yours and it has just started.... maybe its a software issue?
i get this when i start mine up, but they go away.. try not keeping your screen brightness all the way up too. it prolongs battery life, lcd life, and picture quality.

I went to an Apple Service Center, and they replaced my display.
To everyone having this problem: go to a Apple Service Center and get the defective screen replaced.
